Update: The April 2nd pre-emption is yet to be confirmed by NBC.
This week, Revolution garnered a series low 1.2 adults 18-49 rating. Yesterday, NBC decided to bump a repeat of Revolution on March 26 for a news special. However, that night was slated to be all repeats, and Revolution, like most serialized shows, does not perform well in reruns. Today the network released a schedule that has a repeat of a January episode of Law & Order: SVU airing at 8PM on Wednesday April 9 leading into new episodes of Law & Order: SVU and Chicago P.D. The repeat SVU features Olivia Benson facing off against her attacker William Lewis. The new episode also features Benson versus Lewis, so from a programming standpoint it makes a certain amount of sense. However, it certainly doesn't seem like a good sign for Revolution's future.
Update: A Law & Order: SVU repeat is also schedule for Wednesday, April 2 at 8PM.

Oh, this is a bad sign. Damn it. Please don't cancel the show!
ReplyDeleteYeah, this is a sign that Revolution is done for.
ReplyDeleteI really hope this gets renewed , but at the moment its not looking great.
ReplyDeleteAaaaaaaand it's dead. 'Nurse hand me the tablet, time of death....15.32'
ReplyDeleteDamn, doesn´t look good at all. I´m gonna be very sad if the cancel it :(
ReplyDeleteI really like Revolution :(
ReplyDeleteWhy are they showing another repeat of the Lewis episode of SVU? I watched it one and I never want to see the episodes again and they already ran a repeat of it a few weeks back I think.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather they keep Revolution and cancel SVU. They already got rid of the original L&O and SVU I think has really run its course - it's been on for way too many years.
Sadky, I agree :(
ReplyDeleteWHAT THE HECK NBC COME ON!
ReplyDeleteI'm sad
ReplyDeleteI'm closing on it. Say your goodbyes while you have the chance.
ReplyDeleteThey won't have time to wrap up the show if it's cancelled?! 😢😢😢😢😢:/ I'm fuming.
ReplyDeleteProbably not. But then, this is NBC we're talking about...
ReplyDeleteI'll make it quick.
ReplyDeleteheart breaking
ReplyDeleteNo hate on Revolution at all, I actually like it quite a bit. However, this has to be one of the best accounts on here. Hilarious.
ReplyDeleteThis sucks.
ReplyDeleteSo agree! Stopped watching SVU years ago - it's been terrible for a long time. Revolution is just hitting its stride... I'm going to have nothing left to review next year! :(
ReplyDeleteToo bad. It's so much better than last season.
ReplyDeletehaven't seen you around in a while Guess this is you season ^^
ReplyDeleteToo many shows got renewed this season. I had to drown my shame for a while.
ReplyDeletePlease Revolution! Make a surprise comeback upon return :(
ReplyDeleteWhy are people assuming that NBC has decided to cancel Revolution because they've pulled a couple of REPEATS? It's a serial show, you've seen OUAT and Revenge repeat ratings, they're awful! TVD repeats badly too. Yes, in May, it could be cancelled, but NBC aren't bumping these repeats because it's cancelled now.
ReplyDeleteOnly the Mar. 26 was a repeat, the others are new shows that have been pushed back for a later air date.
ReplyDeleteI think this show will be cancelled because J.D. Pardo who plays Jason will be a series regular in The CW pilot "The Messengers". Several photos of his table read and some articles with Shantel VanSanten, Diogo Morgado suggest so unless Jason will be killed off!
ReplyDeleteYou people are actually buying this BS?
ReplyDeleteBuying what?
ReplyDeleteChances for Revolution are pretty bleak right now, but I don't think J.D Pardo's departure has anything to do with those chances; I think Jason will be killed off in the next episode if the actor is really leaving for The CW pilot (I'm not surprised the kid decided to leave, after all he is been very peripheral this whole season).
ReplyDeleteIf Revolution manages to come back to a 1.5 upon return, then I can see the show renewed, but if it stays on a 1.2 (likely) or drops off, the show is dead
I'm officially crossing my fingers and praying that some cable network or streaming service is interested on picking up Revolution, as its chances on NBC are pretty bleak as of right now :S
ReplyDeleteoh, damn... Season 2 got really good I was hoping there would be more seasons...
ReplyDeleteNBC's press site has an original airing on 4/2. The promo also says the next original is on that date.
ReplyDeleteThey aren't. Take a look at NBC's press site and their schedule.
ReplyDeleteIt's been pre-empted and it happened after the promo aired, it's been replaced with an SVU repeat.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.spoilertv.com/2014/03/nbc-primetime-schedule-sunday-april-6.html
ReplyDeleteThey released a new prime time schedule where it's been pre-empted by SVU repeats.
Not according to NBC.
ReplyDeleteIf it is looking like NBC will drop Revolution, will a streaming service be able to come up with the budget needed to run a show like it? imo, i don't think so ): Cable maybe. But if it doesn't do well on primetime, how will it fair on a network not everyone may have?
ReplyDeleteSo according to NBC's own site, which is how they communicate, it is an original that night. I think that's the best source of information on the subject, don't you agree?
ReplyDeleteThey haven't debunked it yet either way and until it's fully confirmed, it could go either way.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'll say it again, until it's fully confirmed and this pre-emption is debunked, it can go either way.
ReplyDeleteHopefully they heard the outcry of upset Revolutions then.
ReplyDeleteActually, according to their press site, a SVU repeat will air on 4/9. You are right about 4/2 being a new Revolution according to NBC's press site. Anyone can go look for themselves.
ReplyDeleteYou can say that but I happen to know I'm 100% right on this one. It sucks that this mistake is causing people to believe the show will be cancelled when it's just wrong information.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I meant April 2, not 9.
ReplyDeleteThanks again. I hate seeing Rev fans worked up over incorrect info. It feels mean even though it's just an error.
ReplyDeleteWell Nate Prado switching shows doesn't mean it will be cancelled, as one could speculate that next episode "Austin City Limits" that Jason or Gene would be the likely ones to die (and because sadly Jason hasn't been a hit with most viewers in the Charlie love interest front. I fight for him all the time!), but Revolution still has 4 more episodes after Austin City Limits, which this possible pre-empt might be better for it so there isn't any breaks for May finale sweeps.
ReplyDeleteAlthough it could be taken as a bad sign, I think that Alec Baldwin's return to TV is smart thing to highlight. for SVU fans...
ReplyDeleteBut also Revolution only has 5 episodes left and it might be smart to have them all air without any breaks from the end of April to the end of May...
Oh, Thanks for this :)
ReplyDeleteI never said anything about cancellation, the primetime schedule is where people are getting this info from.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.spoilertv.com/2014/03/nbc-primetime-schedule-sunday-april-6.html
I'm just saying that's where the discrepencies and confusion is coming from.
ReplyDeleteI think it will air on April 2nd as its not airing next week due to them filming in Texas for the upcoming episodes.

I LOVE REVOLUTION! noooo i can't let it go! not if they don't but charlie and monroe (bass) together!! I think i might die!!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe they just want to show the next episodes without reruns in the middle
ReplyDeleteCougar Town ended its run on ABC with a 1.0 and premiered to a 1.1 in TBS. Sometimes a cable moves bring more viewers to the show if promotion is done right. So far Cougar Town has been one of the most succesful shows on TBS. I'd love if Revolution could go to a cable network so it could end its run there
ReplyDeleteHave we gotten any confirmation either way yet???
ReplyDeleteThis is driving me crazy! I love this show and want to see how it ends. They tease us with someone dying and then it turns out we may have until the 16th to find out??? Arrrrgggghhhhh.
ReplyDeleteWe have emailed NBC for clarification, but no reply yet.
ReplyDeleteSo, how do we get this 'confirmed'? NBC still saying April 2. What's going on?
ReplyDeleteWe've sent an email to NBC asking for confirmation. No response as yet.

ReplyDeleteFace it; if it's sci-fi or fae related, it will be burried. Nothing that entertaining gets to outshine Reality Television for too long. They always squash our Firefly. They get off on expelling Todd & the Book of Pure Evil. No one can remember where the Riches were last seen; and, I believe, that they've taken the Dollhouse with them. If you want a Revolution, then you must be willing to fight and not lie around Dead Like Me. Stand up and shout it out loud, "V... for victory"!
ReplyDelete"Update: The April 2nd pre-emption is yet to be confirmed by NBC."
ReplyDeleteBecause it hasn't been confirmed yet either way.
I'll say it one more time. Revolution will air a new episode on 4/2 just like NBC's promo and press site says. A L&O repeat will air on 4/9.
ReplyDeleteAnd it won't be confirmed because 4/2 will be an original Rev. 4/9 will be a L&O repeat.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure I believe TVBTN on this. In the press release sent out a week ago, an SVU repeat was scheduled on April 2, but on the ones sent out yesterday a new Revolution is scheduled on April 2 and an SVU repeat on April 9. Also on NBC's schedule, Revolution is listed on April 2.
ReplyDeleteBecause it's not confirmed yet.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm agree with Edward. NBC (this is the main page) says that the new ep will be April 2, and it hasn't changed. I wouldn't trust any other site but this one.
ReplyDeleteThis is not good :/
ReplyDeleteOn April 9th, they are showing a repeat episode at 8pm that connects to the one they air at 9pm. No idea as to why they're showing a repeat April 2nd.
ReplyDeletePLEASE don't eat it! You can take Parenthood instead! loll
