POLL : Who do you think will die in The Walking Dead season 4 finale?
30 Mar 2014
CD Polls The Walking DeadNot that we're expecting anyone to die in the final, because that never happens [clears throat], but just in case ...
Tell us what you voted for and why in the comments!
It's funny how there are only three options. I don't think everyone will die but it will certainly be a bloodbath, in true walking Dead fashion.
ReplyDeleteI'm an optimist. ;)
ReplyDeleteEveryone in Joes group including Joe will die. Beth will most likely die and also either Maggie or Glenn.
ReplyDeleteEveryone always presumes Carol will die but i mean she has made it this far hasn't she? also i think her and Tyreese are the furthest away from terminus and will miss whatever is going to happen their.
Surely she won't miss it and she's too far gone to come back from things she's done. Carol will sacrifice her live for someone.
ReplyDeleteJoe, his redshirts and Denise Crosby... wait, she's not on the list... ok, Beth.
ReplyDeleteThe only person i could see her sacrificing her life for would be Tyreese or maybe rick. Also the reason why i say she will miss it is because she has Judith and i doubt their will be time for a happy reunion when they get fired upon (if you have seen the NZ promo)
ReplyDeleteWho says that the reunion will be "happy"?
ReplyDeleteDenise Crosby won't die. The Enterprise C took her already into another time line.
ReplyDeletevery true.
ReplyDeleteI just hope it's not Carol. She is the character that has evolved the most in this show and it would be a shame to see her go after that.
ReplyDeleteMaggie, Glenn and because it made me laugh "no one, those who arrive, survive"
ReplyDeleteShe'll come back as a blond Romulan
ReplyDeleteAgree she's a great character and actress, there's more story there...I hope the show knows that.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little surprised that 8 people have voted for no one. I don't know if they're in denial, or being ironic.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about anyone else that just made me laugh so I picked it for fun. I fully expect The Merles will die as well but I don't really care about them
ReplyDeleteBob's not on the TOP! WHAT!?!? I voted, Bob, Beth, and Tara seems to be the most expendable cast.
ReplyDeleteAnd YEAH, Carl is in the last place. Carl is immortal, he can't not DIE!!!
With the most rad hairstyle in the history of that decade, lol
ReplyDeleteThey can't kill Lauren Cohan. She's too hot, thus untouchable.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely one of Maggie or Glenn, I'm thinking (and hoping more so than the alternative) it's Glenn. My other 2 guesses are the redshirts with Joe and Carol.
ReplyDeleteThe whole burning the her picture amd telling Glenn he didn't need it anymore just screamed Death! to me
ReplyDeleteI think Glenn, Bob, and Joe et al. I really hope we don't lose Rick, Daryl, Carl, or Michonne.
ReplyDeleteMy husband just said, in total seriousness, "Maybe they won't end up killing anyone -- maybe there will just be some kind of standoff." Everyone in the room looked at him like he was insane. Whatever honey, maybe there will also be some kind of musical number. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope I'm totally wrong, but it seems like the writers keep trying to top themselves so I'm expecting something especially painful. That makes me think we'll lose at least one character who's been around since Season 2. I'm thinking Glenn and/or Maggie (at least let them go together...??), but I'm actually wondering about (OUCH) Daryl too. I can't think of a more poignant way for him to live up to Beth's words, then to go down protecting the good guys, his true "family." Dang it, I almost choked up just typing that. Now I need chocolate.
I didn't vote because I have no idea. I don't think it's likely that we'll be lucky enough to escape the loss of at least one favorite character, just in the way RK has said the finale will be "shocking." Definition of shocking: Someone you really like will die.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised people think Beth will die, I just assume she's either been kidnapped by the people from Terminus (I too get cannibal vibes) or she'll reappear next season.
ReplyDeleteI think tyrese carol & judith are already @ terminus. They were the first ones to find the signs and we havnt seens them since the jr psycho got took out by carol. Hard scene to watch but when a dog goes rabid... well you all remember old yeller? She already said she was gonna kill judith next. It had to be done. Promo says rick receives another brutal beating. Id say thats hillbilly joe but ole trusty daryl who dont even like that group is gonna open a can of... well you get the picture? . As for beth? The mortician from the funeral home, that she & daryl were holed up in & got overrun... he or she has her. My guess... last scene cliffhanger. Beth bound, gaagged & abused the the creepy, walker enbalming wierdo got lonely. Ive been collectin comics sincevthe 60s. Got the walking dead series gonna send #1-12 in to be profesdionally graded. My #1 oncevgraded s worth between 35 & 50,000 dollars. Anyone interested? Plan on payin off my mortgage. Absolute survivors.... Carl, glen, maggie, and Daryl.
ReplyDeleteCant wait til sunday. Hope its as good as it looks! Hate thst rick is on talkin dead. Bein on the couch is never a good.sign. 2 things in his favor. Carl has more to learn from dad, & he's proven he can take a hellova beating & keep gettin up. Tara is a weak link & is gonna be a problem even though shes tryin to be strong.
i think:
ReplyDelete- maggie because she made glenn burn the picture...
- tara will get eaten by the cannibals first because of her wounded leg--if it's anything like the walking dead game...
- redshirts and maybe someone we wouldn't expect...like rick or michonne.
Is it possible it could be Michonne? Her extremely positive attitude last few eps seems like something that can't last long on the show.
ReplyDeleteMichonne was one of my picks too. We've had more focus on her backstory this season, and it seems her character has come around to where's she's letting people in again. She and Carl are being too cute lately.
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to think that maybe we won't get too far into Terminus yet, and the question what's wrong with it might be the cliffhanger we're left with to be explored next season. We still have a few groups to make it to Terminus, and the action might come from their struggle to get to Terminus alive.
ReplyDeleteIn your husband's defense, I don't think the previous season enders have been as bloody as people are expecting here. Correct me if I missed anyone, but in season 1 we just had Jacqui and the CDC guy. In season 2 we had Patricia and Jimmy (Shane and Dale came earlier). In season 3 we had Andrea, Milton and the Woodbury redshirts.
That's a good point to remember, Chris. I think that I (and everyone else in my living room last night, with the exception of my super-optimistic husband!) just have this sense that the penultimate episode this season had a real "calm before the storm" feel. This makes some sense, considering that "The Grove" was so intense. But the showrunners this season (RK in particular) seem to be fueling this idea that we're in for something extra-upsetting. Plus, there are elements like Daryl's scenes with Beth and Maggie's burning snapshot that hint at some ominous character set-up and foreshadowing.
ReplyDeleteCertainly everything I just mentioned could just be a case of deliberate misdirection. In fairness, things may not go down as badly as I'm anticipating (because as all writers -- especially TWD writers -- know, what we imagine can be worse than what we actually see). But if I had to bet money, I'd say we're going to lose at least one very beloved and long-standing character Sunday. All this time spent in character development was both necessary and appreciated, but to me it also feels like fattening up the sacrifice before the slaughter.
Don't get me wrong, I'm expecting the death of at least one major character and one or more minor characters (eyeing Joe's group), but I'm speculating that the real destruction might be spread out over the first few episodes of next season as the Terminus storyline plays out. I'm even wondering if we'll get resolution on Beth before next season. There's only so much they can pack into one episode. I'm expecting a lot of the focus to be on the confrontation between Rick's group and Joe's group in this one.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, I so totally agree. The pattern I'm expecting is beloved character death(s) + ballistic Rick, anxiety-provoking cliffhanger, looooooong speculation-filled break between seasons, RK stirring the pot with hints-that-aren't-really, then continued mayhem in the fall. I'm actually not expecting to see certain stories (like Beth's) wrapped up until Season 5. You're right -- one hour is just not enough time to address everything. We'd need a two-hour Very Special Episode, at least. :)
ReplyDeleteI have NO idea ... could be anyone.
ReplyDeleteI went for Maggie, and then just to be awkward, I went all and none ;)
ReplyDeleteGlad you put Abraham instead of Andrew ;) (I was tired)
Covering all bases?
ReplyDeletehaha ... it sounded like a tired mistake. ;)
More that the show is insane, and it's something they could probably find a way of doing.
ReplyDeleteYeah. I'm now trying to figure out if I actually typed Andrew or tried to type Abraham, failed, and my phone spell-checked it.
The million dollar question until Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI think Rick,Carl,Daryl and the baby are okay for now,but everyone else is fair game,in my opinion.
Joe and the redshirts are the obvious choice.Bob,Sasha and/or Tara could easily go as well.Abraham,Rosita and Eugene are still fairly new to the show so the writers will probably keep them around a little longer.
Beth is an interesting case. It's quite possible that she won't survive the season but I'm leaning towards her being already dead and not dying during the finale.
From the remaining major characters,I think Tyreese is probably the safest right now.Michonne as well. It's not impossible, but I would really be shocked.Which leaves Maggie,Carol and Glenn.Out of these three Maggie and Carol are the most likely candidates for me.Maggie's whole photo thing, while romantic, screamed foreshadowing. And Carol has played a huge role in this season and the storyline we saw can easily end with her dying.
I will be upset by the end of the episode, that's for sure!
Probably Joe and his redshirts friends. Beth is on the bubble too.
ReplyDeleteIts going to be Carol and Maggie, which makes me very sad, because they are two of my favourites. Beths already dead, and I'm sure they have been setting up some kind of Daryl death for a while. (again that would suck) The golden trio won't go, which is a shame cause Michonne is the only one who is in any way interesting.
ReplyDeleteIf it's not Maggie, it's Glenn, I like the hope that this show injects at times so I'm hoping not.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, (excluding Rick) the longer the character has been in the show, the more upset I will be if they die.
I honestly think Rick will die. He is the special guest on Talking Dead next week and he's barely been in this half of the season. I think that they are foreshadowing a show without him and slowly making you realize that he doesn't matter to the story anymore.
ReplyDeleteI think that either Maggie or Glenn will die - not sure which one of them it will be though. I also think the red shirts with Joe will probably bite it.
ReplyDeletedon't think she is too far gone, her strength and compassion are an asset
ReplyDeleteshe is the best actor on the show. I don't she should die. her character is evolving and is so much stronger. she needs to work thru her guilt and keep her compassion
ReplyDeleteI read ty and carol were the last too arrive, makes sense-keeping Judith safe would slow them down
ReplyDeleteThe writers said it'll be the most painful wait between seasons and I am thinking of maybe we don't really who's dying in season finale but instead will be served with several cliffhanger scenes that will leave us wondering who's dead and who's not. That sounds really plausible since we have too many storylines in this season that are just impossible to wrap up by one episode (Beth's kidnapping, Daryl and Joe's group, The 8 survivors at Terminus, Carol and Tyreese, Rick's party, the mystery at Terminus and many more).
ReplyDeleteIf somebody dies, then I think it's probably either Tyreese, Sasha/Bob, Glenn/Maggie or Daryl. Rick and Carl definitely get immunity while I seriously feel like Carol has dodged the bullet too many times to succumb to this one. Michonne's full story has not yet been told and I believe she will be one of our important characters soon (she's like Rick's sidekick now that Daryl's gone). If Beth dies then it's just too cliche (you know, event leading to her death and the fact that she's not important), Judith may die but I think that's unlikely as Carol and Tyreese will definitely protect her (and the fact that we already have too many children dying this season). One of Tyreese/Sasha/Bob dying is very likely while Daryl, his
popularity makes killing him the hardest (which may fit what the writers
wanted) but they may lose half of the viewers after that lol. You can't have both Glenn and Maggie dead since TWD doesn't work that way. New characters like Tara, Rosita, Eugene and Abraham will probably survive (If Maggie dies, Tara can be Glenn's new love interest, I know she's les but who knows lol or maybe MaggiexTara? lol). That's my take but alternatively, one can just reverse whatever happens in the comic since TWD show likes to reverse things from the comics.
I hope it isn't Daryl or Beth..They are my favorite characters.
ReplyDeleteI really like Rick, Daryl, Carol and Michonne and I'm pretty sure one of them will die. Maybe Tyrese is using Carol to arrive safe to the Terminus and he will kill her in the end. But I think it will be Michonne, I don't know why... Just a hunch !
ReplyDeleteIf they kill Rick, I stop watching the show. He has the best story-line ever and he's essential to the story ! (and I'm in love with Andrew)
"maybe we don't really know who's dying in season finale but instead will be served with several cliffhanger scenes that will leave us wondering who's dead and who's not."
ReplyDeleteI like the idea ! But imagine... we'll have to wait until fall to know ! So cruel....
Joe, his redshirts and, if they take the Lori ending in the GN and translate that into Terminus, Carol but in a twist, not Judith.
ReplyDeleteThen she'd still be dead because she sure as hell isn't taking Rick's place as leader or protagonist, lmao
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately i think sasha will die and obviously the redshirts with joe will die.
ReplyDeleteSPOILER
ReplyDeleteDaryl will die
Confirmed
SPOILER
ReplyDeleteDaryl becomes president of the United States.
Confirmed.
Pretty sure for Beth,
ReplyDeleteSasha or Tyreese and let's say... Carl or Tara due to her leg.
I think Beth because it will rip Daryl's heart out and Tyreese will go out sacrificing himself for Judith. He's turned into quite the Daddy lugging that fat bsby around, who else could carry her? I think Beth because it will rip Daryl's heart out and Tyreese will go out sacrificing himself for Judith.
ReplyDeleteMorgan Jones comes back either alive or in the after life?? Who knows?
ReplyDeleteFor me (Beth, Carol, Joe)
ReplyDeleteBeth: due to being meat mary cooking.
Carol: dies saving Rick or Carl or Judith from being killed.
Joe: Killed by Daryl to saved Rick Carl Michonne from being Killed.
