Could have been better. Could have allowed the nanites to die. I would love to see how civilization would rebuild with the return of electricity. I also was hoping to see more of Miles and Bass in this AU. And more than just a mention of Ben. The little look at Nora was nice though. Especially in your face, take no crap Nora, how I missed her the second half of last season.
Hi!! I love when he calls him that too, but he's saying Stay Puft. It's a reference to Ghost Busters - that huge marshmallow man. But I loved it too :)
the episode was decent... a nice change of pace, with the modern garb and fancy makeup. The show was more interesting when Aaron's relationship with the nano was good and he wasn't always making them angry! Now it seems like the story has changed from human vs. human to human vs. machine .. the nano should not play an antagonistic role.. will the protagonists eventually join up with the patriots to collectively fight the nano enemy?? that would be lame..
So silly. Wtf with Aaron not knowing Rachel in the past?! I thought they knew each other, which was why she recognized him in the S1 midseason finale. Otherwise, how did they know each other? Hadn't she left Miles's brother when Charlie was still a kid and later ben and the kids formed the community in which Aaron was at the start of the show?
Aaron was traveling along with Ben and Rachel before Rachel left to go turn herself into Miles and Monroe. We know this because in the second half of season 1, when Rachel and Aaron are in the Plains Nation heading to the Tower, Rachel tells Aaron that he's critically important to the mission. She shows him a newspaper clipping of him from his MIT days, and then she says something along the lines of "We wandered around a lot, but no matter where we went, Ben would always take you with us. I don't think he met you by accident."
Here's what Rachel tells Aaron near the beginning of the Season 1 episode "The Longest Day": "I think Ben knew something. As soon as we met you, he kept you close. No matter where we moved, what we did, you were with him. He could have given that pendant to anyone, and he chose you."
And here's Aaron and Grace talking the Season 1 Finale: "Grace: I'm saying you wrote The Tower's operating system. Why do you think Ben found you in the first place? Aaron: Found me? No, no! We just stumbled across each other in the woods, and I mean, if anything, I found him. Grace: Sure you did."
Hi Kirstie! I seem to remember ( or at least i thought i did) Bass calling him that in season one. For what ever reason it was priceless just to see the look on his face. Aaron sure did have a bad day in that episode! :)
VERY well done!!!! Charlie SPOILER, being shot was cray! I also loved the apartment scene, otheir alter egos.... SO great. I think too is it focused on the most interesting of cast, instead of as a whole. :)
Love alternate reality comparative stories, kind of sad that it was only for an episode and seemingly virtual, but it does open the doors on what nanites can do! (and who knows maybe "The Matrix" will be seen again?)
Have no idea where anything is going, but they definitely got me on the "double" dreamscape! I'll be interested to see if anything in the virtual reality foreshadows anything coming, as perhaps the relationship between the nanites and The Patriots will become aligned at some point (Peter could still be a problem)
Love this Matrix-ish episode. Ben Edlund killed it like always. I really love alternative reality. Remind me the Desmond centric episodes on Lost or the multiple universe on Fringe.
Best episode!! I was laughing so hard in the scene were Aaron is trying to get Miles, Rachel, & Monroe to remember lol!! That scene was just brilliant. Awesome episode.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I LOVED this episode,it was Awesome!
