  1. Great episode!

Woah at Olivia stabbing the Priest with his own crucifix. I wonder what she means by "The Darkness".

LOL at Henry having sex by the window with the Archduke’s sister. and then all of a sudden, she fell out the window and onto the balcony. This show never ceases to suprise me!

My favorite moments from the episode were definitely Henry and Catherine trying to move Cecilia's body through the castle and then lying to the Archduke by saying that she had sex with the Priest. I was laughing so damn hard during their scenes together. These two are something else! Brilliant.

Yay at Bash getting a love interest! His character deserves to have his own love story and shouldn't be neglected because of the love triangle. Can't wait to see where this goes.

  2. Francis seemed honestly surprised when Catherine told him about Bash, though. As for Catherine, I honestly don't get why people consider her the number 2 suspect, Especially with Francis and Mary safely married. I still think it was Henry.

  3. Right, I thought that was the point of that conversation between Catherine and Francis?? To show it was neither of them that did it.
Matter of a fact, I don't think anyone was actually trying to kill Bash. I think it was his paranoia. While, the guard did pull his blade a bit, it was really ambiguous about the intentions.

  4. Interesting point. I can see how Bash would have felt he was in danger under the circumstances and acted rashly, imagining provocation when there wasn't any. At the same time, it would be hard to clear his name if that was the case since the theories Catherine stated are that either Bash killed the guards and went on the lam or they were all attacked and Bash escaped and went into hiding; and there are no witnesses.

  5. It might just me wanting Francis to be more ruthless than he is or like the previous episodes it would be better if it was Bash purposely going after the throne. Though future episode descriptions might suggest that it was Henry somewhat.

  6. True. I initially thought it was Marie de Guise that did it. But I don't think she will be mentioned for a while, and then I think it would be a bit of a cop out. Then after watching this episode I sorta feel like he wasn't in danger. Because I think if they wanted us to believe that then the scene would have been done differently. And then I think it would have been a bigger plot point with uncovering who did it. Because realistically Bash has to come back to court at some point, would he really want to if it is revealed that one of the main characters wants him dead? Idk. Just a thought.

  7. I hear you on that. I really thought he was faking them out when Mary passed him over for Bash and he stepped aside, and that he was going to make a move, but then he vanished and I was soooo pissed because I wanted to see him play the game, so to speak. At THAT point I wouldn't have put it passed him to do something regrettable in a flash of anger like order Bash killed. Even then I think he would have tried to stop it, though.

  8. I think the biggest cop out would be revealing some nobody Medici line supporter in court did it. The episode where Little Henry and Charles safety was at issue was kind of a reminder that there are plenty of threats to the royal family's safety besides the infighting.

Catherine tried to have Bash killed before and he wasn't even spooked because he had his bodyguard (where'd HE go?) and the king's protection. Granted, she was in a dungeon, but still... I think if he were guaranteed either Francis' or the king's protection again, he'd be fine with returning no matter who did it... as long as he was sure it wasn't one of them.

  9. I agree on some nobody as well, which is why I feel the same about Marie de Guise bc unless she will be back on the show nothing would come of it.

I don't mean that he would be scared to come back, but would he want to be around if someone like Francis/Henry/Catherine tried to have him killed. Which is why I don't think realistically speaking that it would be one of those 3. Someone also mentioned Clarissa, like how she paid someone to get that girl to sing. That's a definite possibility.

  10. I didn't even think of Clarissa lurking around desiring vengeance. The reason I consider Henry a viable option is, as much as I would seriously miss his and Catherine's interactions, I don't think he'll survive the end of the season. I hope I'm wrong, but...yeah. I'd MUCH rather it be Clarissa.

  11. I do think Henry will die the end of the season and Francis will be crowned king. I'm however hoping I'm wrong because the sooner Francis is king, the sooner his impending death happens and I'm just not ready to think about that.
But yea, the more I think about it, I think it will be Clarissa. I think we'll find out in the episode where Bash has to save Francis' life.

  12. Catherine and Henry were hilarious this episode! Didn't care for the Lola pregnancy but thought Mary handled it pretty well. Glad Bash found a love interest.

  13. LOL, the minute the window opened, I knew that was going to end badly. Way to go,Henry.

Ugh, I wish Mary had let Lola go through with the abortion. And I still don't believe Francis had anything to do with the attempt on Bash's life.

  15. For me the best episode of the series so far. I knew Lola was going to be pregnant wit Francis's child, likely the only child Francis will ever have if he does indeed die as predicted and it seems like Mary is going to have trouble getting pregnant.
