  4. It's been confirmed that Claire Holt has left the series. There goes my reason for watching.

  6. Hahahaha!!! I'm giddy over the promo for next week that played!! Omg! Ok Well, for me the MVP goes to REBEKAH "BEX" MIKAELSON!!! I mean out of this LONG 40 MIN FAMILY GROUP THERAPY! She was the one who i loved the most. I loved her speeches tonight. Out of all of them, i'd have to say, when she was defining herself, Klaus, and Elijah to Klaus, i thought wow, she is DEAD ON! She hit the nail right in the coffin (pun intended lol). The scene with her and Klaus was very touching. (With both of them speaking their minds, laying it all on the table, and both tearing at the same time). But i swear, If i had a dollar for every time Klaus shed a tear. I'd be freaking rich right now, starting my own damn tv show. I mean JC!! I seriously think he's broken the record for Most "Badass villain who cries his eyes out, every time someone touches a nerve" Category (rolls eyes).

Secondly Elijah had me cracking up in this episode, especially the last 10 min. He threw Marcel (Gerard! Thank you Bex) aside like a raggeddy Ann Doll, and said, "Good evening" (Buttons his blazer so casually) Lmao I swear man, Elijah is just too sexy for words. That's a smooth Badass right there. He sure is. Mhmm!! I would loveee some of that. Sorry moving on....

Loved the flashbacks, yes i even appreciated seeing Finn and Kol, i thought it was bittersweet. All of them playing, being completely unaware of the fact, that they would die horrible deaths by a teenage girl and boy, and a martyr vampire, and those who didn't meet death, would suffer the curse of their horrible past forever, sinking them in the deep abyss, devouring 99.9% of their humanity leaving them to turn against each other as long as they lived. (Yes dark humor ensued). Sweet right??

Father K. Love you. was it me or did he actually seem...normal? LOL I gotta say, i liked seeing him this way. Dressed Down, harshly honest. It was a nice change of pace from his "regular attire." He looked like a regular Joe, like a keeper, and not much like a dispensable character. I liked his attitude this episode. Davina. I have nothing to say about her, except i REALLY don't want to see her trust those witches. ESPECIALLY Gen!! I want her to RUN!! She's powerful, she can build her own damn home, "BEWITCH" the hell out of it. LOL

Rebekah and Marcel...Zzzzzz.......Glad that's over with. And i loved the Hayley/Rebekah scene. I think it was my favorite scene of the night, no no, second favorite. My favorite scene, was Rebekah smiling. I just felt so happy for her. Found myself smiling along with her, i couldn't help it. See you when i see you Bex. I will miss you! Bring back good stories of your adventures.

All in all, not as bad as i thought it would be. Tonight i was left with a comforting sigh, and i think Rebekah was definitely the cause of that. Seriously excited for next week though.

  7. Okay...I'm sticking to TVD for the rest of the season. I'll decide later if I want to start watching TO again in the Fall. The writers were so busy trying to make the episode shocking that they didn't stop to think how ridiculous the whole thing was. Now they're dangling the humanity in Klaus like a carrot. It's just bad storytelling. He never forced Rebekah to stay in New Orleans, so he didn't need to free her. Elijah manipulated both of them, and Rebekah only needed to take a stand and leave on her own. Halfway through the episode, I waited for someone to kill Klaus. Then I waited for someone to kill Rebekah. A character might be gone, but nothing else has changed. Three men are still going to struggle for control over a city. I'm sure the show is about to be on its last legs. I can't be the only person who has come to the decision to stop watching. I've never had a completely unique opinion. The only part of the episode that I liked was when Klaus recognized that there's a legacy of abuse going on, but the only way that he tried to break it was to let Rebekah go. He's still too interested in power, and what Mikael did to him was probably all about power and domination. I definitely need to take a six-month break from this show. The thematic material might be too much for me.

  8. LIES!!! I will chose not to believe that!! That makes no sense whatsoever! I'm going to chuck that up to Rumorville.

  9. Rebekah said way back in like episode 7 that she wanted to leave - but she just wouldn't. Klaus (nor Elijah) tried to prevent her from leaving and living her own life. In fact Klaus never even asked her to come in the first place (that was Elijah) - Rebekah had been off with Matt for the summer and then came to undagger Elijah but then once he was undaggered she really had no reason to stay.

I don't think Klaus is that interested in power though at this point - I think Elijah is the one who really wants to be in control of the city (and he was the one who talked Klaus into reclaiming the city back in the pilot to begin with). But I do think he wants to live in his own house (Marcel stole it from them in the first place when he ran out of the city so they just moved back into their own home).

  10. Beyond the Rebekkah departure....

They're totaling gonna resurrect Mikael, aren't they?

  12. I cant believe i cried, damn and when she went to Hayley and told her to say to her niece that despite all, she loves her very much, damn

  13. OMG! I can't believe that just happened! I don't understand why Claire Holt decided to leave! I hope someone addresses it in an interview or something later! But, my God, this episode literally had me crying! Good episode, but terrible news! D':

  14. I can't believe the cw show actually went as far as showing a grown man beat up and even kick in the ribs a little boy. Wow just wow. I don't know how i feel about such a serious issue as child's abuse on an entertainment show about vampires. Truth be told i watch for klaus and elijah smouldering stares. I just want to relax and unwind but how can I, when they keep shoving the ugly reality in our faces.

  15. Episode was awesome, but Rebekah way did you leave!!!!!????? Seriously did not see that one coming at all!!!!! Loved the last conversation between Klaus and her, when he told her she's free!!!

  16. I enjoyed the emotional ups and downs of this episode, more than I thought I would. This episode, and actually the show as a whole, is sometimes so Shakespearean, or Greek tragedy, in its expositions, character introspection, drama, complicated family dynamics, etc. In this episode, I thought they did it well. Although, I'm not happy that Rebekah is apparently gone from the series now.

"The Originals" should have more "originals", and no, Marcel (the almost/adopted son) isn't going to cut it. Plus, the show has so many male main characters, it really couldn't afford to lose the one living original vampire that's a female. I'm less looking forward to the series now, to be honest, and I am not even a particularly strong Rebekah fan either.

  17. Other thoughts:
    - Glad Davina's back, but I don't like that she's a basketcase. I figured that the afterlife witches would be just as evil as some of the alive ones, and would torment her in death. Hope they fix her situation, so that Davina will be safe from the witches, dead or alive, and still be a powerful witch. Davina's less fun if she's not as powerful, or not using magic.
    - Kinda sad that the priest's hex isn't reversible. Hope they institutionalize him before he murders people, like his nephew did. Or, better yet, a cure?
    - I'm ok with Cami, as a character, actually. I like her logical, psychoanalytical sense of caring, present in previous episodes, and in this one.
    - Glad that Hayley and Rebekah got a farewell scene too. It was sweet.

  18. *"We are the definition of cursed, Always and Forever"*
AWESOME does not cover this episode i mean for real... They need to do something to bring her back by season two.
Rebekah got hat she always wanted, be free to have a life outside their disfunctional family, since TVD she always had wanted that, but for a show that has always talked about being together as a family and letting her go liked it was kind of unfair.
When she was saying Goodbye to everyone was really bittersweet and even more when she went to Haileys's. amazin episode really

When she was talking about the things she always wanted, and she mentioned family, and Klaus set her free, I expected her to stop for a moment and realize something like:
"But if I just leave... I'll lose my family. And I don't want this. I want to be free and still have you by my side."
That would be the cherry on the top for me!!!
