  1. First of all, was this parent/child episode or what? Emma/Charming scene was too cute, and JMo looked amazing in that dress. And then Henry/Regina, their conversation was just too sweet (on a side note, can’t wait what does the SQ fans will do with this ep - so much material!)

Regarding Zelena, I guess JMo was right, you don’t know what to expect? why would she want Charming’s courage? And she’s got the dagger too, that’s bad - very bad. And seriously, again with the blood?

Did Rumple escape or did she let him go?

And that CS scene! It was too precious, although I’m glad Emma didn’t rush into a kiss, she did just get her heart broken - again.

Highlights of the ep: I see Charming got some bad habits from Hook. And Regina’s not-disappointed-at-all face when they realised Rumple was alive: Epic.

  2. I loved their take on Rapunzel! Hope we get to see her again soon.

LOL, that Charming and Emma dance was creepy. Looked like they were about to start making out any minute, especially when he picked her up.

Snow needs to stop trusting Zelena. And aww, poor David.

Go Rumple for going! Glad they know he's alive. And that was a great episode!

  3. Good episode - it was nice to see David's point of view. I can't wait to see more Rumple and Neal. I liked seeing Regina and Henry together - I hope we see more of that soon. Can't wait for the next one!

I was the only one who noticed the reference to "Hansel and Gretel"? JMO BORN TO BE A PRINCESS!
    Emma - Dorothy
    Hook - the tin man
    Charming - the lion
    Regina - scarecrow

  6. The Charming stuff was just okay for me, but Zelena is awesome! Her scenes are so much fun to watch.

  7. The Wizard of Oz comparison is epic :D specially David because he had to face his fears and Regina, instead of scaring crows, she turns flying monkeys into soft toys :P

  8. I was pretty bored with all the David scenes in this episode but the Henry/Regina talk and the Zelena/Rumple scene definitely made it up for me.

Loved seeing Rapunzel. She was beautiful.

I'm glad they finally know that Rumple is alive. I wonder where he went.

    Overall, a great episode.

  9. I love the episode Charming and Emma scene was so cute like their take on Rapunzel love Regina and Henry scene nice seeing them talk Snow needs to stop trusting Zelena now to me it confirm that Rumple isn't Zelena father which I still thinks it's going to be Snow father King Leopold and I like that Zelena is using different methods to get courage a heart a brain kinda disappointed that we didn't see Regina give Henry the book when I saw pictures of this episode of Regina giving the book to Henry overall good episode

  10. Such a great Charming centric episode...

I loved how the present day and flashback went back and forth and worked perfectly.

I'm thinking now Charming is the Lion from OZ. Zelena took his courage... I wonder who is next? Who's "brain" will she take (or has taken)? Who's heart will she take (or have taken)?

I caught the nod to the Oz movie when Emma and Hook was the farm house and they showed the bike with the basket.

I was happy to see Regina and Henry got to spend time together. But sucks it hurting Regina at the sametime.

The creators said we would get more Robin Hood this part of the season and we are.

This was a brand new Rapunzel story. Different from any version i have seen or read. I liked it.

I also loved the preview for next week.. Want to know why?

Neal isn't dead and alive in Storybrooke. happy dance.

Next week looks like a Belle/Neal centric episode based on the preview

  11. It was alright. It needed way more Rumplestiltskin though. It's interesting that Zelena has the dagger, I guess she will be in control of him for now; though he is on the run I suspect it was Zelena that let
him go, all part of her plan I'm assuming. I liked Rapunzel hope we see more of her. Everything else was kinda meh.

  12. The Charming scenes were great. I felt like his storyline in this episode properly addressed his feelings about his relationship with Emma and made him confront the painful understanding that he was never really her "father" and his reservations about the new baby. I enjoyed this side of Charming.
Did Zelena take Rumpel's blood for a spell or something? It seemed like that was the point of the shaving scene. It was pretty good and tense.

I had so many Charming family feels during the opening scene (Jennifer looked so gorgeous in her dress), but there was a lot of um... chemistry there. There was way more (uncomfortable) tension between father and daughter than Emma and Hook. Can anyone say "awkward"? lol
Aside from that, this episode was kind of boring. Nice to see Belle, though.

  13. I think the witch might have done something to hook he seemed very afraid and double thinking everything this episode. I wanna know how he got to emma there scene was beautiful i need another kiss ASAP!!!

  15. Great episode, the beggining was creepy and cute at the same time, i felt like it was an episode for the parents to share their frears of course Cjharming would be scares as Sh** he could raise Emma and this is a second chance and he wonders if he can do right..
Rapunzel on the episode was great i hope we can see more of her on the season.
Zelena/Rumple was great just one scene but they nailed it!

  16. Zelena needed his blood to get into the safe in his store. She pressed her thumb to the lock. Blood magic. Poor belle! I hope she's unstuck.

  17. Hook did seem rather lacking in bravado and quick comebacks this episode and you almost get a sense that to him time is running out. am also interested in how he got to Emma and what he was doing for that year and why he doesn't want Emma to know. my guess is he spent the year trying to find a way back to her and doesn't want to admit that.

  18. sorry, but David facing himself just smacked too much of Star Wars and has been done to death. a bit of some lazy and uncreative writing that was.

  19. I love how Regina smiled when she heard that her former teacher (from EF) is alive.

  20. Zelena could talk about man who raised her, not about biological father.

  21. Yeah she could be but if that the case she wouldn't have need Rumple blood to open his safe in the shop since blood magic can work if your related because when Nealfire went to Rumple castle he touch Rumple cane to open a secret cabin and he said his father put spells on things only people who are blood could use it

  22. I know. I just have an eye on various theories.

  23. There were some good scenes but what a let down after last weeks episode.

  24. I am still really enjoying this storyline arc. This episode was great.

    - CHARMING: I liked seeing Charming's story for a change. It's been a while.
    - RAPUNZEL: I also liked the show's take on the Rapunzel story. I thought she was a pretty Rapunzel. For a second there, I thought maybe Lancelot was her brother somehow. But, if not, I hope they put Lancelot and Rapunzel together, because they'd make good-looking couple.
    - EMMA/HOOK: Emma and Hook had a nice scene in the woods too.
    - HENRY: Also, it seems like memory-loss Henry is nicer to Regina than regular-memory Henry. He actually confided in her, they had a nice talk, and he didn't even try to ask about, or run off to find his "real" family, like before (ie, not asking "so, can I go hang out with my mom/Emma now?", or something similar). If the writers can write Henry like this when he gets his memory back, then I'd rather memory-loss Henry stays, because he's great right now.

  25. considering Cora killed Lancelot not real sure how that's going to happen.

  26. Loved this episode. My favourite so far from 3B

Poor Charming, that was one psycho nightmare....Emma looked really pretty though! I liked all his scenes, I always liked his character. I loved it when he pulled out his phone in the forest! Sword in one hand, cell in the other! He looked pretty great in this episode. I really liked the Fear version of him. Too bad about his sword though...

Hmmm can we assume Zelena isn't a blood relative of Rumple's ( I HOPE SO) since she needed his blood for the safe...Could be a different kind of spell though.

"There's something wicked in your town, what do you say we go find it" Haha! Love it. Hook and Regina always have the best lines. LOL at how Charming didn't want to leave Emma alone with Hook later on. I really enjoyed all the alone itme he got with Emma though ;) I never shipped CS in Season 2, but I'm so on board this season!!

Henry 3B is so sweet, I loved his scene with Regina.

Man this whole episode was like a horror movie...They did really well with the camera work to get that effect. First cage scene was pretty cool, especially the zoom-in on their eyes, and the silhouette shot. Rebecca Mader was delightfully creepy too...Plus the music throughout the episode was spot on. Yeeeesh, very scary. Bits in the forest sounded a bit like the smoke monster to me...Great camera work again when Zelena's making the tea. Really built up the suspense.

  27. Yeah, I know. I was saying, in case Lancelot's still alive somehow, since we only got Cora's word that he's dead. I'm ok with the show never revisiting Lancelot of Rapunel's stories again though, since Rapunzel pretty much ended happily with her reunion with her parents. Thanks for the reply. :)

  28. Sorry I must have missed something! Could you clarify for me - did they show us that Neal is alive and well in Storybrooke?

Am I the only one who didn't like the episode? There were a few scenes I enjoyed but as a whole, I find it useless. I know, I know, the thing at the end about Zelena collecting courage was the whole point of the episode, but I think I wasn't necessary to dedicate almost the entire hour to that end.
The sad part, for me anyways, is that I love charming's episodes, but I'd rather watch and episode about him, with more impact or meaning. Cause, we all know Charming is brave, and an episode of him defeating his fears is too redundant, he is brave, so it's obvious he was going to win in the end, which is why I don't think we needed an entire episode to watch something we already know.
