    I still can't believe they haven't told Wu yet, although maybe they should wait until he's a little more stable. But it's their fault he was in that position in the first place. And glad he's out of the mental hospital. This is going to bite them in their asses soon.



    I loved seeing Anne Dudek again and the Egyptian gods plotline was awesome! Plus, there was an Anubis mention! I don't know all that much about him, but he's the one I hear about the most.


    I hope we find out Adalind's baby's name soon. She's creepy, though.

    I'm going to have a very hard time liking Grimm until they tell Wu the truth. This feels unnecessarily cruel.

    Anubis was the AE guardian of the dead, often shown standing over an embalming table helping to create a mummy. He was shown as a jackal-headed human male, or wholly as a jackal. Scores of dogs were mummified and buried in huge animal necropoli as votive offerings to Him. He is often associated with another jackal-headed God, Wepwawet, "The Opener of the Ways" who was a psychopomp, conducting the deceased's spirit to the next world.

    Loved the episode and I am fine that they didn't tell Wu what's going on I mean come on every human on this show doesn't need to know what's really going on they have already told hank and now Juliette knows so I think that is more than enough that knows what is really going on!

    I loved how the Wessen Council and Nick are conspiring to keep the knowledge of Wessens away from the general public. I find that distasteful. I think the GP should learn the real history.

    It seems Wu already knows the truth. Juliette told him that, even it what he saw was real, it doesn't matter, and that sentence stayed with him. When he left the facility with Nick and Hank, he told them "it was all in my head," but we don't think he meant that. I really believe he knows what he saw was real.

    What do you think of Adalind's baby, huh? She can send her twin into the woods so Meisner will find her, and then make that baby disappear. I really like Meisner. He's so nice and caring. Adalind is nicer lately, too.

    I don't like Denisof in that beard, and when Juliette saw that picture of someone who looks like Nick, and told him to never grow a full beard like that, I said amen to that. And while I'm being shallow, can they please keep Rosalee out of those plaid lumberjack shirts?

    Before this, it was fine Wu didn't know. But he's personally involved now that he saw a Wesen and shouldn't be kept in the dark - especially after he had himself institutionalized.

    Going against the grain yet again, I'm fine with the valid reasons given for Wu remaining in the dark. A solid argument can be made for both sides of this (and were) and there's nothing wrong with deciding to err on the side of caution.


    On a personal note, I think it's better creatively if they don't tell him. Reggie Lee has been doing great with the heavier material of the past two episodes and a good way to continue that would be if Wu were to become suspicious of the people around him and set out to solve this for himself. Wu's pursuit of the truth could lead to meatier subplots and more screen time for him. Grimm has already went the "sit 'em down and have the talk" route with both Juliette and Hank. I think it's better to go a different way this time. Have Wu find all this stuff out the hard way. I liked "serious Wu" and this direction would bring him out more often.

    Reggie Lee has been really great lately especially the last episode! I am glad his character is out of the mental hospital. I just hope he gets better. Overall, a wonderful episode. In fact, the last 3 episodes have been the best so far this season!

    I wasn't looking forward to this episode. But, thanks to my best friend, I finally watched on Saturday. (Grimm is usually on my watch ASAP list). I really liked the MOW story. Though during the opening break in I got to laughing because it looked like the screenwriter, knowing that the thieves were going to run into trouble, forgot to have them show up with a plan to get the mummy out of the room. That had no equipment to lower it back out of that window. I liked the Wesen cultural touches and the fact that Nick respected their culture.


    Adalind's baby is super creepy. I'm fairly sure they're using a mechanical baby at least some times. It's enhancing the shiver factor. :-) Really good thing she's decided to trust Meisner(?) looking forward to the next ep....and to hopefully finding out what that stuff Adalind rubbed over her belly actually did to the baby.


    That said...on to Wu. Wow they sure tried to calm the angry fans with that discussion at the table. But it just didn't work for me. I think I figured out why...By the time we got to the end it occurred to me that maybe the story question the writers were going for was 'How to they decide what the right thing to do in this situation?' or 'Nick If that's the case then what would have gotten me through this subplot was some uncertainty from Nick. As it stands I still feel like they made Nick act out of character and in an unheroic way. I'm hoping that the theory that he's behaving out of character because of the zombie poison turns out to be true.

    I think you're right. I think the more interesting story is going to be Wu finding out the truth for himself. (fits with something I heard after Comic Con last year -- or was it Paley Festival.) The big sticking point - and it seems like most other's people's problem with this - is how callous and cruel Nick has been in making the decision NOT to tell Wu; to let him languish in a mental hospital. I mentioned in my previous post that I think what would have made this all work for me was if Nick was *struggling* with the decision. Or if Nick wanted to spare his friend and was being convinced that rushing to tell him was the right decision to make.

    I think actually what the baby is doing is more than astral projection. He was certain he'd picked her up and carried her. I don't think a projected self isi touchable is it?

    Rewatched the episode before tonight's new one. I really enjoyed this episode. I loved the whole backstory of the Egyptian gods being wesen, and the Anubis wesen, and that "new" group (Beati Paoli), and the wesen council stuff. I also enjoyed each of the main characters in this episode, and was glad to see Anne Dudek again (loved her as Cut-Throat Bitch on House).
