Ohhh, I think I just found myself a new favorite. His name is Lucus!! He was funny. "Is it my turn?" "Yea." "Ok, I want that one." "Why that one?"...."I like dogs." HA!! It's as simple as that. And the way he killed for Tilda. Wow! That was pretty awesome. And who is that guy? I feel like iI've seen him before. He's kinda hot.
The beginning with the flashback of Claire's story. I gotta say, that broke my heart. I teared for her, for Ryan, for Mike. All in 2 min. And I feel Claire is being really stupid right now. And I feel like I'm about to get really upset with her. If she goes through with this. It's going to effect her, Ryan, Mike, Max, Joey, Joe, Emma, Mandy. Oh boy, this is no good. One tiny mistake and the whole thing comes down. It's like Jenga!
I really liked Mandy trying to put Emma in her place. I thought that was really funny. Not in a Ha ha sit down little girl, sort of way. More of an oh oh shit! Emma's got some competition, and her name is Mandy. And wtf?? Did she get taller in the last few weeks? It looks like she went from 14 to 16 in the Past three weeks. But i liked her feistiness and i feel b/c of that Emma just got impressed with her. (Like Klaus with Father K). Emma liked that. And just when i thought they were getting along, they go and have that scene.
Mike Mike Mike...and Max. Lol well I think some shippers are happy with that little scene. I swear I could feel the smiles from the M&M fan base. Hahahaha. I don't ship em, as I said I'd have to see it first, but I thought that was cute. He says, "wait, you were worried about me?" Then she smiles, tries not to blush, and gestures to her file. And he just stares with this, wow, does she like me, look. LOL I swear men are blind. But I can't believe she called his Mother!! His mother!! Really??? I felt that was a little extreme. Regardless if she's a cop or not.Idk for me, that just felt a little too personal too fast.
Lastly, Ryan and Joe Phone conversation..I loved it. Felt like old times. And i loved Joe's reaction after the call. That whole scene was well done. Really looking forward to next week. My Twins are back in the game!! I've missed them, Lily not so much. Psycho bitch. Lmao
It was too cult-centric for me to rate it as awesome. Carrie Cooke is annoying so of course she'll stick around like all the other annoying characters (ahem, Emma). While I'm glad Claire is back I'm still confused as to exactly how she'll fit in to this season...
Oh yeah they definitely did. I just didn't like it. And i have no doubt they will kiss before this season is over. But i wanna see more interest from Mike's side first. I mean it's pretty clear now that Max has an attraction towards him. I want the writers to even that out, if they're going with the M&M train.
To me, the addition of Jessica Stroup is the only good thing in this season. Joe has become really ridiculous imo. I'm way more interested in seeing Lily and her family seeking for revenge.
The Claire thing is ridiculous. She and Joey needed protection from Joe's cult (as they believed Joe himself was dead), not from Ryan. Why wouldn't either all three of them go into witsec or just them two with Ryan actually saying goodbye? They could have had Ryan say proper goodbye to them but not tell him where they'd be relocated to. Pretty stupid and forced.
Don't tell me there's another animal violence scene in this episode like there was in the awful pilot episode. Killing off an animal for the sake of shocking the audience and manipulating emotions from them is bad writing 101.
Ummm, no? lol you'd have to see the episode. It had nothing to do with what. But there was a tiny scene with a cat. But they didn't show it. And it wasn't Lucus. Actually idt that as bad writing, i think of it as factual writing. B/c a lot of seriel killers/doctors/surgeons/morticians, practice on animals before they move onto their bodies/cadavers. So the animal violence on the show doesn't bother me. Plus we haven't seen it in a long time through the series, so it really doesn't bother me. B/c it's not repetitive. But that's just me.
I think it's cliche, for writers to use that every time there's some new drama series. Like we don't already know what the deal is?? (rolls eyes). But as for "shock value" I don't see it that way. Maybe b/c i see it too much? I just shrug it off, like ok i'm used to this already. I don't really see the big deal. But to others, you know, "the muggles" (Hahaha) the non tv/movie people of the world. They get pretty squeamish. Me personally, i love it. If it's written right. TV/Movie wise, i don't mind it when they use facts for their projects, just as long as it's not TOO much, where it's to the point that i think, ok this is too much non fiction, and i wanted fiction. You know?
Then again it also depends on the cast. Like what can the actors and actresses bring to the table, that makes this different from everybody else. How believable can they make their characters, to the point where it's not too much "TV". You know what i mean? I mean for us to be TRULY entertained it has to do with the acting.
For example: I just watched the movie Dallas Buyers Club...amazing. Well, not amazing, but what they did with it was. Low budget film. Shot in 20 days, no time to rehearse they just had to read the script, get into character and do it. Now even though the PLOT is based on an actual person. Most of the characters were fictional to add dramatic effect.
The day after i finished watching it. I re-thunk it. The movie. It's been done. Numerous times. However, the way Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto played their roles. Unbelievable. During this film, i just kept thinking...Matthew is a F***ing Genius! He automatically pulled me in. He did it to an extent where it was believable. And he didn't go over the top. Basically what i'm saying is, you can have a terrible script, or a cliche script, but it's what the actors choose to do with their roles, that makes it entertaining and not "vile garbage." IMO.
By the looks of comments here we dont have any Walking Dead fans lol. if we did ppl would be talking bout how nice was to see Emily Kinney out of her Walking Dead element and placed in a cult world.
Nothing about DBY was vile garbage. It has unusual subject matter, but nothing was forced in for shock value. Animal deaths however seem to be something the writers of this show have to fall back on anytime they don't know how to create genuine tension. That and other such scenes of shock value. Compare the writing of this show to the writing of Breaking Bad and True Detective. It's embarrassing how much better the writers of those shows are.
I know. I loved DBY. Well let me ask you this, IF they don't show the animal being killed, would that do for you? Would that suffice? And ohh, sorry sweetie, ya lost me, can't get on board with you with that analogy. I've never took one peek at BB or TD. So I can't agree.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I am done with this show no wonder it's ratings have plunge
ReplyDeletewhy would Mike lie to Ryan about Claire........their relationship would be halted and go backwards

pretty sure the writer did it on purpose to keep Max/Mike relationship even closer.....they likely have a kiss or something at some point

ReplyDeleteDid you watch the promo for next week's episode?
ReplyDeleteI did, in fact, right after writing that comment but I was too lazy to edit it out and just left it there.
