  1. This show is fantastic and is really coming together. The only part of the show that I personally dislike, is the Philip love story that gets entirely too much attention. Philip is not the love story. Ugh. Beyond that though, the fight scene was crazy, and how do you not appreciate Clay's double choke out. LOLOLOL

  2. ps--Still really love Jeremy and the sheriff. :)

  3. pretty good ep and I'm so glad that we finally got some action and that Logan finally became sort of interesting, and Phillip a little bit... the Elena fight sequence was cool, but you'd think that although it seems she can control her wolf to a degree that she'd make sure that the psycho guy was good and dead and/or make sure that Clay didn't need any help mopping up Santos before checking on Phillip - that was my only quibble with the ep. in any event, I enjoyed it

  4. It was the best episode of the series and I love Phillip so I love that Elena saved him and showed him her true self. I think Clay needs to go find another wolf and ya ya the books whatever but nobody wants a show that is predictable. Might as well read the book and call it a day. Its not historical facts. Its historical fiction and fiction can always be changed :)

  5. The show seems to follow the books pretty well. I do not think the writers are creative enough to step outside the box at this stage, sadly. - I wish they would have gone the Phillip route since that keeps Elena in the spotlight as a strong female lead which is where she shines as a character.

Plus without the extensive background from the books, Clay's torture habits, emotional abuse of Elena, and forced conversion which is a form of physical abuse make him as bad as any of the people sent by the Mutts. Elena deserves better as a character...

  6. I don't know what to make of Elena's emotions anymore. But if tthey follow the book *SPOLER SPOLER SPOILER it will be very strange to suddenly realise what she feels for Clay after these big I love yous to Philip. SPOILER ENDS*
So the point is, I'm really curious where are they going with this.

I loved that we saw some real fighting at last.

Jeremy and the sherrif are still too cute, I love them :D

  7. Gripping from start to finish!

  8. That's bugging me, too. In the book, she was nearly out of her mind freaking out that they took Clay. Clay was all she cared about. And they totally changed that with this ep. And I don't see how it's ever going to work at this point unless they turn Philip into a werewolf.

  9. Exactly. And now she saw the syringe and just was like: 'hmm, okay, Clay's got taken, whatevs. I'm going back to Philip to say I love him always'.

  10. I think it's very odd they are messing with the core fanbase. Especially if you want ratings for a new show that comes from already having that book fandom. I just don't get what they're doing.

  11. Me neither. BTW, I kinda like Philip, I just don't believe in triangles and can't see him as a werewolf, that's why I'm lost here.
Either way, I can't wait for next week till we see what's up in the writers' minds.

  12. I think this is the best episode of the season so far. that fight scene was awesome.

  13. TV show Elena is *really, really* pissing me off. Honestly, if this wasnt based on the books I would have turned off by now.

  14. Totally agree, I didnt watch the show to watch the Elena/Philip show,
Elena and Clay ARE the books, they are Romeo and Juliet, Allie and
Noah, Baby and Johnny FFS. This show is grating on my last nerve, I
LOVED it, would stay up late just to download it at 3am now its totally
unrecognizable from the books.. if they can't wrap the love triangle
shit up by the season final I won't be watching season two. THATS how
pissed I am at the direction the show is taking.

  15. I think Elena loves the life she has with Philip more than Philip himself, and I thought she was able to focus and stop the transformation a couple eps ago because she heard Clay's voice. Feel free to correct me if that's just a special Elena ability and Clay's presence was a coincidence; I haven't read the books. Anyway, she pretty much said goodbye to Philip at the end of the ep and I guess she's so desperate to save Clay next episode she defies Jeremy to do it.

  16. I tend to agree with you about loving the life that she has in Toronto more then loving Phillip. Not saying that she doesn't care about him but I get the impression that when she tells Phillip she loves him it is usually followed with her loving her life that she has.

  17. This was definitely one of my favorite episodes!

  18. "I just don't believe in triangles" This! I find it hard that this happens so often in books and fiction.

  19. Since episode 6 and all, I had to rely on Everyone else besides Elena to keep watching this show. Almost wish it get cancelled so I don't have to keep watching.

They need to fix this like next episode.

  20. Totally, totally agree. She is pretty cool in the books, she is a strong woman who can match up to a guy like Clay.. in the show she is coming across as a bitch who is only interested in Toronto.

I honestly think Philip will drag into season two (if there is one) since he knows she is a wolf. Ugh.

  21. I don't know where they're going with this. I do know there is yet another scene of Philip confronting Elena about what she is. So they aren't done yet. They need to either make him a werewolf so he becomes more interesting than watching paint dry, or they need to get rid of him and focus on Clay/Elena. If the writers want a triangle, they need to make it more equal.

I was actually praying Philip was bitten in this ep or that he was fatally wounded. At least if he was bitten, it would be interesting to see a whole story arc of him learning to be a werewolf.

I like the actors and will probably watch anything they throw at us, but I can see huge fan outrage from messing with the core characters. Clay/Elena should be the focus and should be endgame.

  22. I think that philip is the key for season 2, because he will be the reason of making human know about supernatural like werewolves, in season 2 human will be hunt all king of supernatural and elena will be kidnap as in book, so i think that in final ep elena will deal with the all history of her with clay and how they like when they were together and understanding what tore them apart and then decide to stay with clay and the pack and in the end of ep will be there cliffhanger like showing us that there are humans hunt werewolves or may be end with elena kidnapping

  23. AMEN. *Standing ovation*

  24. Canonly , you're absolutely right. She loves the 'idea' of the life she could have—the life she once dreamed of having with Clay before she was bitten. Hopefully the show follows the book and she realizes her feelings for Philip are platonic and the whole reason she is with him is because there are things about him that remind her of the only other man she fully trusts and looks up to, or else they are going to lose a lot of viewers and people who have been petitioning for a season two.

  25. Several non-readers have asked me if she is as much of a selfish bitch in the books as she is on the show. Sad that the writers are spinning such a strong, kick ass character as a self centered witch.

  26. Kelley Armstrong has already said that if season 2 is done it will not follow the second book—they will be doing their own original plots. None of the other supernaturals will be included.

  27. This is a new interview with Greyston Holt talking about season two.

  28. Just saw that. Exciting if it happens—might be a bit more canon script wise. I hope Kelley agrees, I know she made a post a while back on the issue. :o)

  29. Do you have a link where she says that season 2 will "not follow the second book—they will be doing their own original plots. None of the other supernaturals will be included."?

  30. It's a tumblr post she made a little over a month ago: http://kelleyarmstrong.tumblr.com/post/77701645525/after-the-specifically-7th-episode-what-do-you-think#disqus_thread
Look towards the end for this:

  31. I disliked Elena this episode. Can this woman go one episode without blaming Clay. Goodness even Philip has started the blame Clay game. Philip is so focused on how Clay feels about Elena, why? I wished Clay could move on. I don't see how this has been a triangle. Let Boring, and Borena stay together.
I liked Logan finally showing some umph. The fight scene's were awesome.
Daniel is as terrified of James Williams, as he is of Clay. James Williams wants the pack dead. Interesting. What did the pack do to him?

I like Jeremy's flirty interaction with the sheriff. I also liked Nick questioning Jeremy's giving Logan and Elena to much freedom. I knew Antonio probably told Nick something about his mom. I hope there is a season two, that deals with Bear Valley and Stone Haven mostly.

  32. I loved it. It does make me wonder exactly where are they going with this triangle. We only have two eps left.

I love seeing wolf Elena. Loved where she saves Philip.

I liked how they showed Logan can be tough, too.

The action was great. All of it. How can we only have two more eps? If they don't renew this show, I'm going to be so sad.
