John Cusack to Guest on his Wall Street Drama Pilot
John Cusack will guest star in his untitled CBS untitled Wall Street drama pilot. Set in the world of Wall Street power and money, the project centers on Jackson (Charlie Cox), a smart, sophisticated hedge fund trader. Cusack will play Ted, a cynical former Wall Street trader who left the business. The pilot will be directed by Niels Arden Oplev from a script by Taylor Elmore and Ben Cavell based on a story the two co-wrote with Cusack and Kevin McCabe. CBS TV Studios is producing.

Dorian Brown (Wilfred) and Mouzam Makkar (Communicators) have landed female leads in Fox comedy pilot Sober Companion. Written/exec produced by David S. Rosenthal & Jennie Snyder Urman, Sober Companion centers on Robert (Nick Frost), a charming but self-destructive attorney who finds his world turned upside down when a court-appointed sober companion (Justin Long) takes control of his life. Brown, repped by Domain and McKeon/Myones, will play Cate, Robert’s ex-wife and probably still the love of his life. Makkar, repped by Gray Talent Group and Principato Young, will play Alex, Robert’s competitive, self-confident sister. Mallory Mahoney also has joined the cast as JoanJett, Robert and Cate’s young daughter.

Ana Nogueira (The Michael J. Fox Show) has booked a series regular role on CBS’ single-camera comedy pilot Good Session. Written by John Hamburg and Matt Miller and directed by Hamburg, the project revolves around a happy couple, Joel (James Roday) and Lindsay, who go to a therapist (Tracey Ullman) to help them decide if they should have a baby but quickly discover they have more to discuss. Nogueira, repped by Innovative Artists, Gartner/Green Entertainment and attorney Mitch Smelkinson, will play Abby, a lovable mess who is always changing herself to suit the personality of her latest male suitor.

Toks Olagundoye, one of the leads of sophomore comedy The Neighbors, has been cast as a regular in NBC’s single-camera comedy pilot Feed Me in second position to the ABC series. Feed Me, from Witt-Thomas and Universal TV, stars Mary-Louise Parker and centers on a dysfunctional family bound by love and the restaurant they run together. Nigeria-born Olagundoye plays Meryl, the live-in girlfriend-turned-fiancee of John (Ed Wuinn), one of three grown-up children of restaurateur parents and brother of Emma (Parker).

Kelly Brook has been tapped as one of the leads in NBC‘s multi-camera pilot One Big Happy, marking the first U.S. series regular role for the popular British actress/TV personality. Written by Liz Feldman and directed by Scott Ellis, One Big Happy centers on two platonic friends since childhood — a lesbian, Lizzy (Elisha Cuthbert), and her straight male best friend, Luke (Nick Zano) — who have been living together and trying to have a baby via artificial insemination for some time. They finally get pregnant — just as Luke meets and impulsively marries the love of his life, pretty young British woman Prudence (Brook). Kind of a sexy Mary Poppins, Prudence is a free spirit with a refreshingly skewed perspective that Luke finds wholly enchanting. About to be deported, Prudence marries Luke in a whirlwind and soon becomes a part of an unusual family unit. Warner Bros TV produces with Ellen DeGeneres’ A Very Good Production.

Survivor’s Remorse - Mike Epps joins as Regular
Mike Epps is adding a seasoned presence to Starz’s scripted comedy series Survivor’s Remorse, joining a cast of mostly 20-something up-and-comers as a regular. Survivor’s Remorse, executive produced by NBA star LeBron James and Mike O’Malley, is set in the world of professional basketball. It follows Cam Calloway (Jessie T. Usher), a basketball phenom in his early 20s who is thrust into the limelight after signing a multimillion-dollar contract with a pro team. Cam, along with his cousin and confidant Reggie Vaughn (RonReaco Lee), move to Georgia to start Cam’s journey to success. Epps plays Cam’s uncle Julius, who moves from the Dorchester projects to an Atlanta mansion with his family after Cam gets a big pro contract. Although Uncle Julius loves the perks of success, he still tries to keep the family on point with his guidance and wisdom.
