Sadly, it's the teacher. This shows just gets more depressing every week. Watching what seemed like a fairly strong marriage not long ago just completely fall apart is agonizing, fiction or not. It appears both Joel and Julia have given up on saving their relationship and now lines are starting to be crossed that can never be un-crossed. I'm having an increasingly more difficult time sitting down to watch Parenthood and usually don't do so for several days after each episode first airs. And I'm not sure now if I'll ever watch tonight's episode or any after that, The show is just no longer entertaining to me.
Guess that little kiss with Ed is about to become pretty meaningless. Julia has decided to officially leave her marriage in the dust. Watching this show now makes me feel like some sort of masochist. While I have really frustrated with Joel's indecisiveness about whether he wants to save his marriage, Julia is taking things to a whole level a far as its dissolution. This show has always done a good job of giving its audience a reason to have hope that better days are coming, even in the darkest of times. This season, Jason Katims seems to have been mainly focused on making sure there is no reason to hope for anything good will happen to anybody.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
No Julai! Bad girl! :(
