Happy for The Following, I love that show :)
ReplyDeleteYes!
ReplyDeleteOMG YAAAAAAS BROOKLYN NINE-NINE AND MINDY!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYay for The Following and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, I will probably start watching that show soon now that I know it will be sticking around.
ReplyDeleteHELL YES! So happy to hear about The Mindy Project, it's my favorite FOX comedy for sure. And a little surprised at The Following getting renewed this early with the ratings decline but I recall Kevin Williamson saying the show was mapped out for about three seasons anyway.
ReplyDeleteI hope Almost Human makes it. And Enlisted. :/
Yay Mindy, B99 and New Girl.
ReplyDeleteYay for Brooklyn Nine-Nine! The best new comedy this season.
ReplyDeleteSuper happy for New Girl first off, absolutely in love with that show. Also good to hear that B99 got another season perhaps I'll binge the first season this weekend. No real opinion on Mindy Project, I don't watch it but I do like Mindy Kaling so good for her. I'm sick of the Following, but I'm not going to say anything bad about it here. Let's all just be happy our shows got renewed :D
ReplyDeleteI am sincerely shocked but extremely happy that B99 was renewed.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more! So happy it got its second season :D
ReplyDeleteSo now Mindy will have a 4th season for sure, hope Brooklyn 99 gets there too!
ReplyDeleteAlso happy for New Girl, stopped watching The Following, but good for the fans. Now, if FOX could just renew Almost Human as well!
Come on Almost Human! You can do it!!
ReplyDeleteIf fox cancels almost human i will be mad , but im glad the following got renewed.
ReplyDeleteSo happy for The Mindy Project!
ReplyDeleteCan we all just take a minute and talk about Kevin Reilly!! My god has that man stuck to his guns!! Hey may have started with a bumpy ride, but man oh days, bravo to that man.
ReplyDeleteFirst he brings back Fringe for an unbelievable fifth season. Then Sleepy Hollow gets an almost record renewal. Now, The Following, which even though it's ratings have slightly fell, still gets renewed for its cult status and star power. B99, New Girl, and The Mindy Project, all with lackluster ratings but passionate fan-bases get renewed. If this isn't sticking to your guns and delivering exactly what your fans want, I don't know what is!!
I'm so happy for The Mindy Project, it's my favorite FOX comedy and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, my new favorite FOX comedy, I really hope Almost Human gets a second season, it such a awesome show, better than The Following. And also happy Sleepy Hollow is renewed even though that was a while ago :)
ReplyDeleteI know right, it's awesome
ReplyDeleteSome might say that FOX is a bit desperate this season..
ReplyDeleteGreat for Brooklyn Nine-Nine, love it. You can't cancel the Golden Globe winner for best comedy series and best actor in a comedy series, no way FOX was pulling the plug. The day after the Golden Globes they sort of admitted Brooklyn 99 was bound to have a second season, but it's good that it's official.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I will be very pissed if Enlisted is getting cancelled while The Mindy Project just landed a renewal. You switch them both (= putting Enlisted after New Girl ; Mindy was there before being pulled) and I guarantee Enlisted gets better ratings. Instead of that, or putting the show after American Idol instead of Rake and soon Hell's Kitchen (WTF?), it will die on Fridays without a lead-in.
Raising Hope is amazing, but the FOX people didn't give enough of a shit about the show (it doesn't display a rich family, and advertisers don't like that) to let it go past the point of syndication. So I'm happy it got 88 episodes. I have coped with the fact that FOX started the burial of Raising Hope last November, and they will end the funeral in a few weeks. That's a damn good show going away, and I'm enjoying it while it lasts. I hope the writers didn't get cocky and actually plan for episode 4.22 to be a season finale that truly works as a series finale.
Yay, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Following.
ReplyDeleteNow all The Follwing fans can breathe for one more season. Great for Broklyn and for New Girl
ReplyDeleteAlmost Human needs a second season!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't buy that fully. Partially, yes. However, I don't feel that desperation fully went into the decision of Fringe, Sleepy Hollow, or The Following.
ReplyDeleteYEAH!!! IM SO HAPPY FOR THE FOLLOWING, MINDY & NEW GIRL
ReplyDeleteHey, they kept Til Death for a long time. There's always hope. But while I love Enlisted I take The Mindy Project over any other FOX comedy.
ReplyDeleteDesperate? How about just trying to be a decent network? FOX has easily become the most well-behaved broadcast network in terms of not pulling the plug too quickly and airing all the episodes (in most cases) of shows they intend to cancel. If they can get a reputation for being patient with good shows and if they manage to make money with lower ratings, it will be highly beneficial to them in the long run as people won't be so worried about getting into a new series. The FOX execs of the late 90s and early 00s did a lot of damage with ordering shows that were usually excellent, but offbeat and not giving them a chance.
ReplyDeleteFOX is quickly becoming my favorite network. Cable included.
Happy for Nine-Nine.
ReplyDeleteIts not looking good for Almost Human right now.... :(
ReplyDeleteI hope something good happens, but after the season finale ended up being "just another episode", I'm not holding my breath.
ReplyDeleteWhy The Mindy Project? The ratings for that have been horrible. They should've renewed Dads instead. That had more viewers then The Mindy Project. Dads was the funniest new comedy of the fall season and the funniest comedy on all of Fox this season. Bad decision by Fox there.
ReplyDeleteSweet!!! New Girl and The Following renewed!! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteAlmost human has to get RENEWED!!!!!!
ReplyDeletePlease fox
How about Almost Human...........come on
ReplyDeleteYay for B99 and New Girl!!
ReplyDeleteDesperate in the sense that Glee is going down with a wimper, American Idol isn't really a force nowadays, and The Following ratings decreasing a good amount.
ReplyDeleteAs I'm somewhat a fan of Sleepy Hollow, I'm hoping the series doesn't do a "Following" with it's ratings in the 2nd series.
You have to thank Sony for Til Death renewals.

For those questioning the renewal of The Mindy Project, remember that it's profit that matters, not ratings.
Obviously NBC Universal is willing to produce the show at a loss so it can reach syndication, therefore FOX can demand a license fee low enough where they'll still be able to make money off of the show even with low ratings.
How much money? Probably more than they're getting from sitcom repeats, which are basically non-existant on FOX Tuesdays (excluding December obviously).
The logic ends up being that it's better to cram the equivalent of six full season half-hour shows into their comedy block than to air the same four all year long with repeats.
Good news if you like original content, bad news if you don't like FOX scheduling puzzles! ;)
Interesting...
Well they did jump the shark with renewing for two seasons in advance in a time where it's ratings weren't that good but didn't completely suck.
ReplyDeletePretty much. It's the new little show that could and I have to praise Kaling's writing because the ones she writes are some of my fave episodes
ReplyDeleteEither way this basically almost assures me Mindy will be around for at least 2 more seasons after this season so yay
ReplyDeleteYes to b99 im so happy :)
ReplyDeleteFrom twitter:
ReplyDelete"Maybe the development cycle is not turning out as good as expected. Go figure."
Part of the reason for the renewals for this season?
Brooklyn99 and New Girl were a lock. I was hoping for an Almost Human renewal but they surprised me by renewing the Following first. Almost Human was pulling sightly better numbers than the Following - there's still hope left.
ReplyDeleteThe most pleasant surprise (for me) is the renewal of The Mindy Project. S1 had it's ups and downs bit S2 really found it's groove and I was liking it more than New Girl.
New Girl has become so stale, I honestly just want them to close the show out.
ReplyDeleteSo relieved that The Mindy Project is renewed..the second season has been so good, but the ratings made me think it was a goner!
ReplyDeleteExpected B99 & New Girl to get renewed too..so yay!
Agreed the show has really started to drag and I used to really look forward to it Tuesday but now? Not so much. I hope the writers either improve it again by bringing the consistent funny back or considered writing a good closing season for the show to end on. Please fox don't drag this show out for so long that is just becomes completely unbearable and resembles nothing of the show audiences first looked forward to. Its already headed there now lets try to end the show on a higher note.
ReplyDeleteThe first season of Raising Hope I didn't like that much but it was fantastic in seasons 2 and 3. It seems like they're just going through the motions to get to syndication this season. The only other new network comedies I've really liked this season are Trophy Wife and Mom.
ReplyDeleteso odd, I'm a part of the FOX Viewer Panel and they asked me a bunch of questions about Almost Human. They've cancelled shows early on before so if they don't want it I would rather they say now instead of dragging it out. Tbh the show just needs to be on any night other than Monday and it should be fine. I wonder if it will be another Hannibal where we have to wait last minute whether FOX is keeping it or not.
ReplyDeleteVery happy about B99.:)
Well that was unexpected.
ReplyDeleteExactly my thoughts when I first heard about it!
ReplyDeleteIt's not even been half a year since they started bypassing pilot season. People should at least wait one full year, maybe even two, before guessing whether it was a good or bad decision by FOX. Also, these renewals do technically make some sense. New Girl into syndication, Brooklyn Nine-Nine will have some more time to gain an audience after all that publicity. The Mindy Project gets much closer to the attractive syndication package, and The Following... well, OK, The Following may not have made total sense. I would've thought Almost Human would've been renewed since Following has declined a whole lot since the 2nd season premiere, so I'm surprised at that one.
ReplyDeleteYay for B99! Best new comedy! Really happy about that!
ReplyDeleteReally didn't expect The Following to be renewed.
ReplyDeleteHell yes for Brooklyn Nine Nine! Don't care for the other shows but along with Enlisted its the best new comedy of the season. Figured it was a lock after the GG win.
ReplyDeleteHappy about all four renewal, especially about The Mindy Project.
ReplyDeleteyay B99! I love this show!
ReplyDeleteBrooklyn 99 yay!!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad, it's a cool comedy, sometimes they hit and miss but mostly their episodes are hilarious.
happy for Mindy and the Following, both have been excellent this season for me
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for Mindy! I didn't take notice of Messina before either but have noticed him in a few things recently.
ReplyDeleteOh wow. I can honestly say I don't personally know one person who likes Dad's.
ReplyDeleteShe is a genius! Mindy is by far my favorite comedy and I am so happy to get another season.
ReplyDeleteI do like Enlisted very much but I would give it up if I had to choose between that and Mindy.
ReplyDeleteMindy, Mindy, Mindy!!! Also The Following has been better this year after the idiot police work in season one. I still don't understand the allure of New Girl though.
ReplyDeleteI know quite a few.
ReplyDeleteExtremely happy for The Mindy Project!
ReplyDeleteYay for Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Mindy Project! I love both of those shows so much!:-)
