Muse Watson again? Oh my God, they never should have killed Mike off if they were just going to keep bringing him back.
ReplyDeleteBut yay for Fornell! I can't wait to see what NCIS: New Orleans is like. Hopefully it's good.
This will be the episode that set up NCIS spinoff New Orleans!
ReplyDeletemy guess it will be flashbacks.....
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to this!
ReplyDeleteOf course it's flashbacks, but that's beside the point.
ReplyDeleteHey, at least Fornell and Mike Franks are back. And Paige Turco guests. Other than that... this really doesn't sound interesting. Maybe it will be good. But I doubt NCIS New Orleans will get picked up.
ReplyDeleteNCIS has crossed over to TWD and Fornell is back as a zombie ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL. That would actually be pretty awesome.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope it's better than Red and gets picked up!
ReplyDeleteKilling Mike off then having him return as a thought/flashbacks has actually worked quite well. Guarantee he wouldn't have appeared/had as big an impact in the episodes he's appeared in since his death had he been kept alive.
ReplyDeleteit has a better chance of getting pickup than that CSI spinoff.
ReplyDeleteSeriously another Mike Franks appearance? I agree - they should have never killed him off.
ReplyDeleteAnd always good to see Fornell back! I am excited for this!
Doubt it. Thing is, NCIS works because it's NCIS - federal agents in an office etc. NCIS LA works because it's undercover, secretive (although they flash their badges so much. I'm beginning to think everyone knows their identities), so it's a different concept of NCIS. Red was a different concept but not a great one. NCIS New Orleans seems like a new NCIS in terms of there's nothing more than federal agents in an office. Won't work.
ReplyDeleteThat CSI spin-off is possibly the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
ReplyDeleteIndeed thy shouldn't have killed him of if they keep bringing him back!
ReplyDeleteI think the location, New Orelans will be fresh and different..the cases might be different.......maybe like CSI: Miami
ReplyDeletePossibly.
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping, Franks appears in a flashback (with Gibbs and Pride), rather than his ghostly, "inner conscience" of Gibbs. I liked him best while he was alive thou :P
ReplyDeleteThing is, with NCIS headed into it's 12th Season (if renewed), I have a feeling that "NCIS: New Orleans" might eventually replace NCIS entirely. I'd love to see both shows succeed (as well as NCIS:LA), but i'm not certain if 3 NCIS shows could survive concurrently.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for this 2 parter! Love Fornell! but really, why did they have to kill off Mike Franks? He is on the show so often,it would have been better if was alive then at least he could take part in the episode....
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see Scott Bakula,CCH and Paige Turco!
CSI went well for a while with all 3 for 6 years of all of them running. Then two went in two seasons. Tbh, I'd rather we just get NCIS for more seasons than a new NCIS.
ReplyDeleteThere's also the matter of shows becoming more expensive with each passing year. I'd love to see NCIS continue for another 10+ years, but that doesn't seem likely.
ReplyDeleteNCIS is guarantee renew and I think it will be around for a few more season...at least until season 15 but I think Gibbis will be past his mandatory retirement date for agents
ReplyDeleteNCIS can have another 10 years if it does law and order style and have a new cast completely....not sure how know David McCallum can stick around as he getting older, and Mark HArmon will be his mid 60s. I think NCIS goal is to get that 300 episode which would require two season more
ReplyDeleteNo, they should never have killed Mike Franks, however, ANY time they bring Muse Watson back I'm all for it, I couldn't care less HOW they do it! Fornell has nothing on Mike and never will. Whenever Mike is on the show, you KNOW it's gonna be a good one, he actually brings something to the show, Fornell pretty much brings comedy and not much else. His character is fine, I like him and all, but he doesn't actually add to the show, Mike Franks does. They need to find a way to fix the screw up of killing Mike and/or find another way to bring Muse Watson on the show permanently.
ReplyDeleteI really don't think NCIS is on its way out. It's still the most watched TV show and it does not show any signs of slowing down. If you look at CSI, it took quite a while to reach its current ratings level, and it's still not in danger of being canceled. Ratings wise, NCIS could go on for years. And even if Mark Harmon would want out at a certain point (which I doubt he will), also look at CSI who replaced its lead character when the lead actor left.
ReplyDeleteAnd creatively, I could think of tons of storylines they could still do. Too bad I'm not a writer.
These are also the three charactes/actors I am looking forward to the most! I don't really care about the other characters/actors (yet).
ReplyDeleteI like 'yet'! :)
ReplyDeleteI think you can forget about them bringing Franks back to life, and Fornell does bring somthing to the show.It might not be the way you want or like it but he does. Aside from bringing another agency into the show he has a personal as well as a professional relationship with Gibbs.
ReplyDeleteI agree. The original NCIS is the best.
ReplyDeleteI love him in flashbacks or 'new' conversations. I say bring him back as Mike's brother?
ReplyDeleteMuse said he will not be in maybe a picture or something like that.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.usatoday.com/story/life/tv/2014/03/13/ncis-new-orleans-sneak-peek-feature/6367499/
ReplyDeleteAccording the the USA Today Article: There was a Group called the Fed 5 in NIS which involved Dan McLane, Mike Franks, Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Dwayne Cassius Pride and one other person.
Forgoodness sakes, dead is dead. Franks is doing just fine as Gibbs' mind mentor.
ReplyDeleteyeah pull the old "twin brother" Mark Franks.
ReplyDeletethe truck thing was stupid.
ReplyDeleteMike's being used in the flashback to show he and the victim were part of a group where Gibbs and Pride were both probies.
ReplyDeletelol, i actually liked the truck thing, it's essentially what they've been doing with Kensi. my main beef is them re-using actors in the same universe as different characters, specially key characters, why the new show i don't like them re-using JAG.
