Today at the Walt Disney Company’s annual shareholders meeting, Disney CEO Bob Iger ran through their upcoming slate of movies for the next few years. After barreling through live-action films, Iger turned to Pixar making some surprising announcements.
New sequels to “Cars” and “The Incredibles” are in the works at Pixar. No further details were given, other than to say director Brad Bird is back for “The Incredibles 2″ and “Cars 3″ is also in development.

Yes! I love both these movies (first Cars was better than the second, though) and can't wait for the sequels.
ReplyDeleteNot surprised about Cars 3.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm excited beyond belief about Incredibles 2, I thought that one would never happen
Finally an sequel to The Incredible!
ReplyDeleteit been ten year since the first incredible come out and I guessing it will need 2 more years to release the film so 2016 is my guess
ReplyDeleteI am really looking forward to the Incredibles sequel!!!
ReplyDeleteNever watched Cars though even though I wanted to, there was always something that I wanted to watch even more :)
HELL YES to The Incredibles 2! I have been waiting forever for a sequel since it's one of my all time favorite Disney movie. So excited!
ReplyDeleteCouldn't care less about the Cars sequel. Can't WAIT for 'The Incredibles 2!' Easily one of my favorite animated films!
ReplyDeleteGuess Pixar ran out of original ideas. Don't care for Cars, and don't really feel that The Incredibles needs a sequel, the original is amazing as is.
ReplyDeleteAnd we have Finding Dory, so excited now!
ReplyDeleteWhy so many sequels?...what happened to originality?
ReplyDeleteWhat the heck are you talking about? Originality? They already have six other original projects in development. And that's excluding Finding Dory, The Incredibles 2, and Cars 3.
ReplyDeleteLoved The Incredibles, one of my favorite animated films. Can't wait to hear more about the plot of the sequel. I wonder the kids will be all grown up or not.
ReplyDeleteI think at least 3 more years.
ReplyDeleteGeesh...Relax a little. Anyway, I know of 3 original projects and 3 sequels (with the chance of a 4th Toy story). Also, judging from Monsters Inc. 2 and Cars 2, sequels aren't particularly original. Only the Toy Story has remained original as it follows the stages of childhood and how children grow up. Please feel free to give details about the other THREE original projects though, as I am interested to know :P
