Wow, I knew this season was going to be amazing and these past episodes and this upcoming one proved just that. And really, I know everyone is complaining about micheal rapaport's country accent but to be honest, i dont care for how he sounds. I care about how much of an antagonist he is and well, it seems like he became that in these past few episodes (him beating down wendy, setting up kendall to take the fall for him though i dont believe either of them to be the shooter, and the list goes on)...
Now I am stoked for this episode and the season finale!
Maybe it's both. They're allowed to improv ... some. He's mispronouncing the soft a in 'man' as a long a (as a dialect). That's why it's such an assault to my Southern ears ... over and over again. Rapaport may be written as one of the best Justified villains of all time by the critics if he hadn't taken the dialect misstep. It's cost him.
I will say that I loved that 'blood brothers' scene he did with Kendel. Chilling to the bone. And so was that scene between Daryl and Raylan at the elevator last Tuesday.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
YES!!!!!!! Just what this season needs Raylan seeing Ava and Boyd working with Raylan! Hallelujah.
ReplyDeleteYour savior has arrived! That scene <3
ReplyDeleteSeriously the look on everyone's face! I can't wait to see it.
ReplyDelete"Housekeeping". Man, what a great antagonist Darryl Crowe Jr. turned out to be. Michael Rapaport has been amazing in the last three or four episodes.

Yeah, he has certainly given Danny a run for his money, right?
ReplyDeleteYou better not hurt Mikey! Wynn will be livid!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHe has improved, but if he says 'Man' (he does it adnauseum) one more time with that lousy accent, I may shoot my TV.
ReplyDeleteYup, I also noticed that. I wonder if it comes from the script or if it is Rapaport's improvization. But yeah, it can get a little tiresome.
