A future? (Sorry. Couldn't help myself.) I like the show but, if I'm being honest, when you take away the quality and chemistry of the two leads everything that's left is rather mediocre.
You mean, a better writing. I started to like the show specially because of the chemistry of the crew, they really jell. The thing is... All cases are so... cold. There are little involvement with the affected. Even last one, we should feel like there is a toxin to be released and make some horror. But we didn't see the effect of the toxin, like, if they would have made some test before. And the target being a pharmaceutical felt very... been there, done that. Specially cause we didn't know much about the "villain of the week" util the last minute, and the suspense didn't pay off. The parts that worked were the mother-daughter bond, basically. But it didn't feel like there was a credible threat. Never feels that way.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I really wanna really like this show and love it but its still missing something.

Agreed. They need to find the right balance between Fringe and Chuck.
