"The Young and the Restless" isn't the only CBS show where Wise can currently be seen. He also portrays Robin Scherbatsky's (Cobie Smulders) dad on "How I Met Your Mother," which is in its ninth and final season.
March 31 marks the series finale, and you can be assured Robin's Canadian father will be there. Who else is going to give her away, right?
"It's going to be a lot of fun," Wise said. "It's going to be beautifully resolved. I think every fan of the show is going to love the way it ends up. And I can't say any more on that. I'm sworn to secrecy."
Wise says he's grateful to be part of such a great sitcom -- and one with an excellent cast.

Yup, definitely still convinced The Mother dying is a red herring.
ReplyDeleteI really hope this is true and it'll be a finale that we will all like I would hate for it to not end on a good note. I want everyone to be happy and have their happy endings.
ReplyDeleteI think that too, it would be just horrible if it was true, and Ray Wise would be lying if he said it's an ending everyone would enjoy, because a lot of people certainly wouldn't if The Mother was in fact dead in 2030

ReplyDeleteI think the Mother dying thing could be a Red Herring too because if it wasn't, it was too easy a give away so many episodes before the finale. Or maybe they were giving the audience time to deal with the idea. Either way, I think if the Mother dies, I have no problems with that ending.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, Wise could just be talking about the ending to the Barney/Robin wedding storyline. He may not even know how the entire series ends. I'm guessing the only people who know how it all ends are the people who need to know.
