ReplyDeleteI think they may be referring to the poor ratings for Hannibal at present. Unless it picks up, I doubt we'll see any of the other four seasons that are planned.
ReplyDeleteQuite a large portion of Hannibals financing is given by a large multicontinent cable company called AXN. NBC provides a small amount of financing and gets to air the show in North America. Last year the same thing came up and several cable companies were reportedly ready to deal with AXN to take NBCs place. If NBC cancels it, it would still exist, perhaps not on American network tv, because it is a hit for AXN
