This is probably pointless, but to anyone, who has scrolled down to the comments before reading the synopsis: DON'T. READ. IT. It spoils an awesome twist. Seriously, do yourself a favor, and don't read the synopsis.

Abigail never dies in the book, also FBI never found her body. So you can make your own theories from here
ReplyDeleteShe's only mentioned briefly in passing in RD (so Fuller could change that aspect considering he used her to back shadow Mischa and foreshadow Starling), but between the "veal" conversation and some of Fuller's comments in post season 1 interviews, many believe that she is dead. I actually gave a spoiler TV poll about her death and I was told several times that Fuller confirmed her death, --but the "quotes" those people gave me from interviews seemed playful and IMO not a direct confirmation. So I don't really know what to believe, but this spoiler gives me some hope about that.

ReplyDeleteThe only possible evidence which would *exonerate* will is Abigail Hobbs alive, since he is charged with her murder based on evidence which cannot be easily countered by explanation with better evidence.
ReplyDeleteBut that may not keep will out of jail, after all Hannibal is getting too close to being caught, so he has to make sure to get rid of things that would implicate him.
All Hannibal would need to do is simply show Abigail him removing a piece of Miriams brain and feeding it to Miriam so that Miriam does not remember anything about Hannibal or the fbi and does not recognize hannibal. Then Hannibal can instruct her to tell the fbi that will gram and an accomplice did this to her.
Will has been sending people who annoys him to Hannibal to kill, whether consciously or not, such as Miriam and Dr. Chilton in the hopes that he will be exonerated, but he is mistaken. The justice department is eager to let Will take the fall for their and the fbis mistakes and any evidence to exonerated him will probably be suppressed, lost, or be moot.
Why do I think this? The promo for the next episode shows someone claiming to be the person who killed the judge and Will asking him to kill Hannibal. But if it turns out that this person is not the person who killed the judge, but instead a undercover justice department agent (the justice department would want to find out if will has an accomplice that he used to kill the judge, if this is the case he would say nothing expecting the tactic from the agent, but telling the agent to kill Hannibal would suggest either he does not know who killed the judge or that Hannibal is the accomplice), or if Dr. Chilton is recording Wills conversation (which he would use to keep will locked up if Jack ever seriously thinks Will is innocent), either would be evidence, whether or not it is admissible is irrelevant, that Will has attempted to do something unlawful, and hiring someone to murder someone else, whether they are successful or not, is a crime. This would suggest that Will is turning into a loss as an asset to the fbi both in consulting and in the press if he is found to be innocent by the court since the embarrassment and damage to the fbi and justice department would be even greater than the story of will as the murder.
When did Abigail die?
ReplyDeleteI don't think I saw anything that would imply Abigail Hobbs (or Beverly, Miriam, ...) is dead. Hannibal could be just feeding their limbs to their colleges and keeping them alive and healthy for them to watch it on video.
