Symbolism
Hannibal's person suit is getting dirty, even though he still thinks he's on top of the game. Not only did Bedelia Du Maurier finally manage to draw a line, but others inevitably felt drawn to Will's side as well. I really enjoyed this week's episode and the symbolic nature of the conversations between the characters was a personal highlight of mine.

First of all, Will is already setting the terms of the new game without Hannibal's awareness. His blatant weakness in front of Doctor Lecter and Alana Bloom was but a first step to him. His ability to empathize with the killer and the color palette just gave him more clues. He knows Hannibal says things without actually thinking like that, which was also shown in another scene. Hannibal's statement about admiring the killer's work added to the creepy factor.

Another very important observation is Will's ability to know instinctively that Hannibal was the one to finish off the serial killer. Remember Will's session with Lecter in season one, in which God's relationship to mankind was further explored? We're basically picking up on the fact that Hannibal sees himself as God looking down at his work of art but also hungering for his "children" to look back at him. Will does precisely that. He looked back at Hannibal and challenged God.

Allies
As mentioned before, Bedelia insisted on having more agency and was no longer willing to play a game she feels she can no longer control. Her meeting with Will invoked a sense of camaraderie and true equality. But we already do know that Will won't simply step down. However, it must feel good to know that there is someone who voices support for him in such an open manner. Bedelia might be a support system in ways that others haven't managed yet. Alana is probably a close second.

Another important scene is Jack's own session and his very poignant statement how the world feels darker after everything that happened with/to Will Graham. Perhaps it is his subconsciousness telling him that someone who could be so good can be so bad, which automatically makes his entire understanding of good and evil more twisted. Right now he feels like he can't trust anyone because of that.
Beverly Katz is more practical in that sense. She trust Will's abilities and his willingness to help people. It is certainly a good step in the right direction. The last thing Will needs is for others to exploit his abilities, which was something that brought Jack to the situation he's currently in.

Minus points: I'm nitpicking here, but Hannibal should wear some sort of helmet or mask to cover his entire head. Anybody could've found Hannibal's hair on the crime scene or on the killer's body. Sloppy, Dr. Lecter.
