This wasn't my favorite episode but I did like the Adalind and Meisner connection. They were my favorite part of the episode. I am really looking forward to Mama Grimm's return though. She always makes thigns interesting.
Monroe asking Nick to be his best man. Delivered beautifully by the actors. My first thought, though, was how will the families take to having a Grimm there, and I was relieved when that thought came to Nick as well. So my second favorite scene would be the nightmare, and the decision to bring this up with Monroe. I was so, so, sad when Sebastien died. Oh, and this was one of the few times I did not feel bad about the victims. Dumb girls.
I liked the scene where Monroe and Rosalee asked Nick and Juliette to be in their wedding. Very sweet scene and I liked the "pay for the wedding" joke. The other stand out scene for me was Adalind showing concern for one of the men who sacrificed his life to save her and her child. It was something we've never seen from her.
I thought the "cosplay" was a weird scene. Didn't Rosalee spend a good part of the episode talking about how unnecessary "woging" is harmful. Wasn't that the whole point of the carnival story? It was odd that she would do exactly what they were trying to prevent as the closing scene.
"Didn't Rosalee spend a good part of the episode talking about how unnecessary "woging" is harmful."
The Blutbad and the others in the carnival were transforming several times a day, everyday for years. That's what causes the problem. What Rosalee did was nothing.
I'll admit I liked the Rosalee bit at the end. It's not really an aspect of these peoples' lives that Grimm entertains very often. It was a cute scene. Other than that, I appreciated seeing Adalind starting to show concern and even (gasp!) affection for other people than herself. I think this may be a precursor to a larger change for the character. Or it may be a red herring. I dunno yet.
crossing my fingers that you're right. Unfortunately after tarnishing Nick's character with regard to how handled the Wu situation, I don't have a lot of trust in the writers.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteI'm going to miss Castle Spy. He was such a great character. At least he went out a hero. So many characters dying on TV this week.
ReplyDeleteI think motherhood is agreeing with Adalind. She has become a better person so far.
ReplyDeleteShe has become a better person. You would think that getting her powers back would make her nastier, but so far, so good.

ReplyDeleteI'm waiting on it to all disappear.

ReplyDeleteWe disagree here. I don't think Nick's character is tarnished and I don't think he made a wrong decision regarding Wu.
ReplyDeleteI got swayed around to agreeing with you regarding the outcome. I just would have been happier if the process had been more difficult for him.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think they should have shown it to be a little more difficult as well. There seemed to almost be some emotional detachment in the decision.
