Grey's Anatomy - Tessa Ferrer and Gaius Charles to Depart

Mar 26, 2014

Grey’s Anatomy is bidding adieu to two recent cast additions. I’ve learned that series regulars Tessa Ferrer and Gaius Charles are not getting their contracts picked up for next season. It is unclear whether they could make guest appearances in the future.

  1. Yay! No more creepy Shane!

  2. ... and there was much rejoicing.

  3. Yes! Bye bye Shane.
A little sad about Murphy, I kinda like her.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Thank god! Good move

    ReplyDelete
  5. Murphy was great bit sad to see ehr go, Shane was a mess!

    ReplyDelete
  6. I won't miss them !

  7. i liked murphy a lot. shane not so much.

    ReplyDelete
  8. about time the writers realized they weren't fan favorites!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Prediction: Callie kills Murphy in a jealous rage, but Shane sees her, so she has to kill him too.

  10. Sorry I didn't credit you for this post Bruce. I saw your submission after I had posted this.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Prediction: Caterina Scorsone's guest arc will turn into a regular role next season.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I really hope so. Better her than another newbie.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Eh. No big deal. You were probably in the process of posting this when I submitted it anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I hope so ! I liked her in Private Practice.

    ReplyDelete
  15. OK. now bring back Lexi, i don't care what convoluted story they have to make up

    ReplyDelete
  16. Good, I won't really miss them. I wouldn't even mind if they vanished into thin air like the interns from earlier seasons.

  17. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  18. I was just thinking the other day how much I could live without the current crop of interns. This is a start.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Thank god!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. agreed! But that's the only addition I would be ok with, there was too many character this season!

    ReplyDelete
  21. And can they get rid of Stephanie and Jo as well??

    ReplyDelete
  22. Come to think of it, I'm a little surprised they decided to keep Jerrika Hinton over Tessa Ferrer but Camilla Luddington isn't going anywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Thanks Shonda !!!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I guess Stephanie had more of a storyline in the back half than Leah.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Won't miss them, especially Shane !
But still, Grey's is losing a lot of characters again this season. It's weird.

    ReplyDelete
  26. That would be surprising to me. The only storyline that Stephanie has been given (that I remember) since she showed up was dating Jackson.

    ReplyDelete
  27. best news ever, yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy

    ReplyDelete
  28. And Stephanie will stay? Damn it!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Agreed too. Meredith lost her sister and will lose her best friend (at least in daily working), so it would be nice for her to have one of her sisters-in-law around.

    ReplyDelete
  30. It's impossible to bring her back, but I really miss her.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Its possible Stephanie is pregnant with Jackson's lid.If Shonda is going that route that could be the reason she is staying on?

    ReplyDelete
  32. That could be something they choose to do but I sure hope it isn't.

    ReplyDelete
  33. So we are stuck with crappy Jo but Murphy is going? This show drives me mad.

    ReplyDelete
  34. If you think about it she should be the one leaving, her storyline was over the moment Jackson professed his love for April. But since they are keeping her around the only reason that makes any sense is her character will be pregnant... I hope I am wrong too. I love Jackson and April together, they have great chemistry on screen.

    ReplyDelete
  35. And here i thought i was the only one who didn't like Jo..

    ReplyDelete
  36. Yaaaaaaaay! Now all we gotta do is get rid of the other two and keep letting Sandra Oh do guest appearances. Lets get rid of these crappy interns! Woohoo!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Oh, I get what you're saying. Murphy was always more interesting and was given more to do than Stephanie. If they're keeping Steph around there's a good chance it has something to do with Jackson since he has been her primary source of screen time since she arrived. I'm just hoping that, since they've decided to keep her, they find a way to make her interesting that doesn't involve relying on other characters.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Nope, she is pretty unpopular online, particularly on IMDB.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Oh no! I cannot stand Jo! And the wannabe actress that's playing her as well :(

    ReplyDelete
  40. Nah. That award goes to Jesse Williams.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Definitely won't miss them, but wish Stephanie was going too!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I hope you're wrong!!! So much!!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. WTH. I could care less abt Shane but Leah was the ONLY intern that actually had some depth and the potential for some good story lines. I love Alex but I would rather see Jo pull and Izzie and run away so we don't have to hear the whining anymore. She doesn't have a story line w/o Justin Chambers and Stephanie never really had any storyline. SMH I never understood why they all became regulars anyway. Maybe they're getting rid of them so they can pay the actress that plays Amelia to come on as a regular next season.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I don't like Jo (or the actress that plays her) either but i don't how you can say she didn't have a storyline with Justin that was her storyline. They started a relationship, fell in love and had problems along the way. And ditto for Stephanie with Jackson.
As for why they became regulars i can only imagine Shonda hoped it would work out with them..

    ReplyDelete
  45. Oh yes,it would be dreadful.

    ReplyDelete
  46. In all fairness, she does a decent American accent. Didn't even know until i read it on IMDB. I've seen other British actors/actresses slip and slide all over the place with their American accents.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I had no idea Jesse Williams was an actress. :O

    ReplyDelete
  48. Take Alex out of the equation and then tell me what Jo's storyline is. There is none besides being a resident and we've seen that already. She has no storyline. Take Jackson out of Stephanie 's equation and tell me what her storyline is. Being Meredith's punching bag? They have no independent story lines.

    ReplyDelete
  49. No, neither actress had independent storyline. That was why i said Alex and Jackson was their storyline.

    ReplyDelete
  50. You got me there but his lack of skills transcends gender and puts him firmly at the bottom of the pile.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I liked Leah but I will not miss Shane

    ReplyDelete
  52. Yay! No more Shane!!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Kind of glad about this, never really took to Shane. Was a fan of Murphy at first, but I've really gone off her recently. Happy that Edwards is sticking around though. Since they killed off Heather, she's become my favorite. Of the newbies, at least.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I would kill someone if they did that, but I don't think they will: they sort of already had that SL with Calzona and Mark.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I'm neither here nor there about Jo, but I really like Camilla, she's lovely.

    ReplyDelete
  56. There are enough differences/circumstances between the parties involved that Shonda could do it without it coming off as a repeat.

    ReplyDelete
  57. ergh- she's worse than Shane...

    ReplyDelete
  58. Rolled over in my hotel room in Gold Coast, Australia and saw this news....JUMPED out of bed in excitment best news on Australia/ New Zealand holiday!!!! well tv wise lol

    ReplyDelete
  59. I think you miss read my original comment. I said they don't have a story line without (w/o) Alex and Jackson not with. We're both saying the same thing

    ReplyDelete
  60. Alexandra TsernantMarch 26, 2014 at 5:46 AM

Yeahright. These guys could actually bring something to the show, as I see it. But now the hope for some new stories and some new lines is gone and we'll have to watch Jackson and April's "Happily ever after" or some new shooting-plane-legcutting tragedy for MerDer? This is bull((((((

    ReplyDelete
  61. Thank god for this! The two worst new additions, maybe it's to keep Amelia on.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Thank God! Hated them both!

    ReplyDelete
  63. I don't really care about them, but I'm going to miss Christina

    ReplyDelete
  64. Wow, you rarely seen someone who likes the new interns.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Shane has to go. I'm a little sad for Leah, she wasn't bad, but she got all the hate, because of Arizona. lmao
Stephanie I don't know yet, besides Jackson and some funny lines, nothing to be seen here.
And Jo, oh Jo. A terrible character, oh so terrible. If Camilla doesn't do Lara Croft, because of this terrible character she has to play on Greys, that's the moment where I will go mad with rage. She is the best Lara Croft of all time, hands down. >.<

    ReplyDelete
  66. They brought back Denny.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I know it's not nice to be happy when someone loses their job...but THANK GOD! Shane was so annoying!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Two seasons too late in my opinion. And why can't all of the interns leave? *sigh*

    ReplyDelete
  69. I love her as Lara, the best so far, that's the only reason that I like Jo, because of Camilla.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I'd love to see Amelia and Catherine Avery as regulars.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Can they make Owen leave as well. He is soooo boring!

    ReplyDelete
  72. You're much more likely to see Jason George (Ben Warren) added as a regular next season than Debbie Allen (Catherine Avery).

    ReplyDelete
  73. Alexandra TsernantMarch 27, 2014 at 2:34 AM

its not that i like'em-like'em, i just think this show badly needs some new storylines, and new interns could actually bring new storylines, and it's a shame they wont... with Sandra leaving, I honestly don't know what'll be left to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  74. THANK YOU. Two characters that totally drug the show down.
