Sorry. But haven't you heard? Shows take a hiatus. After all, there are 35 weeks in the season. And they only make 22 to 24 episodes. So you'll inevitably will get weeks where there aren't episodes. I suggest seeking professional help for your OCD (Obsessive Castle Disorder) before you both hurt yourselves.
The episode looks about as interesting as doing my taxes. Only difference is, I get refund. I'm sure this episode will kill a few brain cells. And I'm a Castle fan, so don't anyone call me a troll.
I wouldn't mind it if it were a flashback ep or something along the lines of The Blue Butterfly (enought though I wasn't a fan of that ep). But they are consciously recreating the 70s in present time. WTF?!
I read it somewhere dont remember where. Havent seen it anywhere else so i dont think it's true. But u never know weirder things have happend before....
I wouldn´t say the ratings are "really well", actually they are down from last season, altough I think ABC has bigger problems than Castle:) And the renewal was just for season 6, it wasn´t 2 years (that was a rumour that didn´t came true)...
It hasn't ordered yet officially, but none of the ABC shows have. (All the other network has announced at least part of the renewed shows). However it is 99,9% that it will get a renew order. The 0,1% is the case if one of the leads (namely Nathan Fillion) would like to do it - in the past two years he had told multiple times that he wants to quit the show while it is on top. However, I don't think it a real threat today, though it has a chance that S7 will really be the last season.
Fillion and Katic are under contract for 7 seasons. It's not a matter of if Nathan wants to do it or not. AFTER Season 7 (if ordered by ABC), you are absolutely correct, does a lead character want to step away or not...
LEt it be clear that I love Castle. Very, very much. But, as much as I love the show... I would like Fillion to move on, or even have a little free time. Imagine a Dr. Horrible part 2 now that NPH is free, or a Firefly reunion...
For this season. Beyond that I wouldn't bet the farm. While the show isn't doing bad, it's not doing great either. ABC knows the show isn't going to move up, so at some point money versus cost versus profit comes into play. And unlike Grey 's Anatomy which is higher in that all important demo, Castle has dropped considerably in the last few thus making ad revenue lower. The further you are on the plus two the more you can take in.
Well any show can be canceled. Networks have pulled the rug out from under shows when they least expect it. NBC's Las Vegas comes to mind. Everyone thought it was going to come back. But at the last hour, NBC canceled the show. The show had decent enough ratings to push forward to sweeten the syndication package.
More recently you had CBS axe Unforgettable. I think it was the top rated freshman drama for the network but fell victim to a busy schedule. CBS didn't see growth for the show. But they uncanceled it a few months later.
Castle is safe for one more year. Beyond that depends on contracts, ratings and other factors.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
70s? Yay! Disco? Boo!
ReplyDelete4 week hiatus!!! Are you kidding me?
ReplyDelete1 month? what the hell is happening with abc?
ReplyDeleteLooks great and should be pretty funny, but I guess with only 4 episodes left, they have to take this break. Still it sucks!
ReplyDeleteOh please. it's not the end of the world. And this isn't so unusual: http://www.castleseries.net/2014/03/23/the-castle-hiatus-is-not-so-unusual/
ReplyDeleteArgh. This looks really stupid and unnecessary. I was really hoping they learnt their lesson from last year and not rush the end of season arc.
ReplyDeleteI'm laughing my butt off already. Looking forward to this :D

ReplyDeleteApril 21st????!!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG Ryan and Espo look so ridiculous I had to pause the video because I couldn't see anything from laughing LOL
Hahahahha good one
ReplyDeleteHAHA looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteJust heard that Castle might be cancelled, some one else heard the same?
Do you really think Abc would cancel one of its highest rating shows ? Where did you hear that it may be cancelled.
ReplyDeleteWhy? The ratings are doing really well, and weren't they renewed for two season like a year back?
ReplyDeleteI read it somewhere dont remember where.

ReplyDeleteThat said, dreaming is free...
There is no way it's getting cancelled, to the contrary it's definitely getting renewed.

ReplyDeleteNetwork PR spin says it's doing well. However, it has struggled in the second half.
