Banshee - Episode 2.10 - Bullets and Tears - Finale Preview & Teasers [UPDATE]
12 Mar 2014
Banshee Reviews SSUPDATE 12th March: Correct guesses on who said what have been filled in
I don’t think that anyone reading this is unaware by now that there is going to be the odd death or two in the finale...well make that the odd one or two dozen in total, give or take. But what you might not have guessed until you saw the promo is, thanks to the nonlinear unfolding of this final instalment of the season, we also have quite a few people back from the grave making an appearance. In fact almost as many deceased characters show up as significant ones die, albeit fleetingly in some cases. They are all people that we have met before or know about already, and they are all important to the past and future of Hood and/or Carrie. History, whether it be secret, personal, shared or plain made up is an important theme in Bullets and Tears, as is where do the characters go from now, how do they shape their own future?
Tropper, Yaitanes and the cast have obviously worked hard on this episode, you’ll be glad to know that it comes in at a full hour in length so has plenty of time to set up and execute the main stories without rushing over any of the details. As to be expected much of the action takes place in New York where we have two plots playing out over two different time periods, both mirroring each other in many ways with similar themes and emotions at play. Then there is the activities that take place on home turf; some loose ends are tied up in Banshee town and a few Season 3 ones are blown open, both of which are sure to get fans talking. Then there are two other locations that appear which I'm not going to say too much about, except that we don’t visit either for too long and neither are particularly pleasant places to be.
But to end on a lighter note, as it’s not all doom and gloom this week, Hoon Lee is highly likely to be my pick for Scene of the Week again next weekend, but at present I just can’t make my mind up between two of his best moments. One is Job being more fabulous than you have ever seen him before, but in a very different kind of audacious action sequence to last week during a flashback where Ana gets taken to meet him for the very first time. The other is heroic, and perhaps includes some hints of a past life we may get further into next season between himself, Lucas and a new character.
Many thanks for reading my previews & teasers this season, it's been a great one and I hope you enjoy the finale as much as we have here on the site. Hopefully we will see you over the hiatus with filming news and maybe an interview or two.
Bullets and Tears airs Friday March 14th at 10pm on Cinemax, below are some teasers to see you through until then. Don’t forget to come back and vote in our poll after the episode and let us know what you thought of the finale and what you are looking forward to next season.
“So I ask myself how many Ukrainians do I know who could report a robbery in progress before that robbery was actually in progress. Then I thought, Rabbit’s Ukrainian, maybe he can point me in the right direction” Racine
“This is Chayton” Chayton
“Well, the good news is we’re going to see Fat Au” Hood
“Tell me, how did you get your false credentials for that job, a background check should have taken six months?”
“You have her face, almost exactly, I hoped to meet you in friendly circumstances” Priest
“No, no, no, this is a place we all can come to express ourselves freely, lord knows I do. These gentlemen here have bit as much right to express themselves as any of us”
“How many lives have you lived?”
“You almost made it through the whole song, you’re getting better” Hood
“Well, where would we be without women to fuck us up, hmm?”
“You look at me and remember, somewhere in the future there is a bench just like this waiting for you” Rabbit

Thanks for preview, I truly can't wait for Friday. I think it will be the best episode of Banshee. Any little tease about Rebecca? I know she will not die, but her storyline is one of my favourite:)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for Friday, your previews are awesome. About Job scenes as long none of them were about him being dead, I will be ok, he is my favourite, and I really really don't care if Rebecca will die or not, neither Siobnan.
ReplyDelete1. Racine 2. Chayton 3. Job 4. Fat Au? 5. The Priest 6.? 7.? Lucas 8. Job 9. ?
ReplyDeleteShe's fab, I have really enjoyed her journey this season. I just hope Kai doesn't regret what he has taught her ;)
ReplyDeleteAww thanks :) Job is my favourite too, he's so versatile, and has the wit & balls I wish I had! lol.
ReplyDeleteSome good guesses, is Lucas meant to be 8, and Job 9 and then a ? for 10, I'm just a lil confused there? If there are a few people guessing I will update the post with all correct guesses later in the week :)
ReplyDeleteI am thinking that he will be secretly proud of her. :) Here's hoping for more twisted Proctor/Rebecca shenanigans in S3.
ReplyDeleteIs Chayton back? - If so, nothing good will come of it.
Thanks for the preview. Friday can't come fast enough. The references to some things that will leave us wanting S3 have me the most intrigued. Any small hint on which characters these events revolve around?
You're welcome :) Hmm, it's hard to say too much without spoiling it really, but history does play an important part in how I see season 3 starting, especially secret histories being exposed and explored.
ReplyDeleteHistories? Plural? Hmm.
ReplyDeleteDeva and Hood? The secret is out completely? Biological father/daughter bonding in S3? - If so, wonder what that will do to Gordon- He has loved Deva like his own. He's a good man, I would hate to see him suffer any more (emotionally or physically)
I love the twisted characters on Banshee, but the good ones (like Gordon, Emmett, Brock, Siobhan) are also quite likeable and can be related with.
Hood's secret - Someone finds out? Worst possible person to find out would be Proctor. But that would mean awesome and thrilling drama.
Not necessarily just history that other people find out about or are trying to hide, but there are smaller things too, there are odd seemingly throw away lines or camera shots for the audience that hint at things from the past that could be explored more in S3.
ReplyDeleteAlso I'm wonder if these Greg words about Rebecca doing "something unexpected later this season" is referring to something we will see in finale or maybe it was in last ep, when she saved Juliette?
ReplyDeleteWow, that sounds great. Thank You again!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure, it could be either or a combination of both, I think her journey still has a long way to go.
ReplyDeleteYes whoops lol
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandi. Hope to see more of her in S3 (and same for Job and Burton). I would love to see Rebecca becoming some kind of crime lord in later seasons, although from the other hand and despite that she's now walking on dark path, I wanted for her to not became that evil like Kai.
ReplyDeleteSandi please update the post!!! I'm dying here!
ReplyDeleteI will later this evening :)
ReplyDeleteNumber 9 it's not Job, so who is gonna say that Rabbit or Hood ???
ReplyDeleteWell my money are on Hood or Alex.
ReplyDelete'Fraid not, it is a tough one maybe though
ReplyDeleteNot them either I'm afraid, someone in Banshee though.
ReplyDeleteWell tomorrow we all gonna know, but if is someone in Banshee could be the indian that want to be the leader of Kinaho tribe?
ReplyDeleteMy bets: Siobhan, Sugar, Rabbit, Alex and Chayton all dead on Friday.
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm not guessing any more. I will find out in something about 35h. Is it Sugar?
ReplyDeleteVisitorQ has it correct, it's Sugar :)
ReplyDeleteI just saw his answer after posted. By now who said number six?
ReplyDeleteWho likes to express themself freely? ;)
ReplyDeleteJob was the first name that came to mind, by now I don't have idea of is this person I'm confused.
ReplyDeleteYep, it's Job :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandi! Job is my fav.
ReplyDeleteMe too!
