Banshee - Episode 2.09 - Homecoming - Preview & Teasers [UPDATED]
Mar 5, 2014
Banshee Reviews SSUPDATE: 5th March - Correct guesses on who said what filled in :)
Seems like Job didn't take much notice of Hood being annoyed at him and Carrie for not keeping the gang together when doing dangerous jobs in Evil for Evil because he’s at it again this week, but the stakes are much higher this time. Firstly, he’s completely on his own with no back up at all and secondly, he’s chosen to drop in unannounced on the priest in the New York church that he knows has ties to Rabbit. Unsurprisingly it isn't long before he’s in the firing line of some pretty pissed off Ukrainian gangsters and is fighting harder than we have ever seen him fight before.
Kai is a popular man now he’s behind bars, two surprise visitors come calling hoping to make peace, the first is sent away with harsh words and an ominous warning thrown in their face. The other is very unexpected, more tenderly welcomed yet just as honest in its exchange, and possibly just as portent a moment in Proctor’s future. I don’t recall ever having seen his emotions this naked and vulnerable before, it’s a very different side to the man we usually see. Hopefully it won’t blind side him to whatever scheming Alex and Rebecca are up to in this episode; with his niece in particular the scales of power could be starting to tip in the other direction.
We started the episode with a shoot-out in a church and it ends with a showdown in just as an unlikely a building, but one filled with many potential innocent victims, as Hood and Carrie try to track down a seriously injured Job before Rabbit’s cronies find him first. When the local cops show up at the crime scene they have no idea what they have stumbled upon, except for maybe their Captain who has ties to Hood and Racine's past. Rabbit’s superb closing monologue after all the confrontation could well be mirroring the thoughts of every character in the show in their own little way, and perfectly sets up what is next week’s thrilling finale.
Homecoming airs Friday March 7th at 10pm on Cinemax, below are some teasers to see you through until then. Don’t forget to come back and vote in our poll after the episode and let us know what you thought.

“There’s a point at which any one of us will do exactly what Emmett did, it’s just a question of what puts us in that situation where the circumstances outweigh the consequences” Hood
“You came to see me when I was inside, I'm just returning the favour, seeing if there’s anything you need?” Sugar
“You chose to speak to the authorities, as such Mr Proctor has asked me to inform you that your services will no longer be required” Burton

ReplyDeleteWow, great preview, thanks, can't freaking wait for this episode. I guess, the first visitor will be Alex, and second one Kai's father? I'm really wonder what's Rebecca is up to. I feel she have her own master plan.
ReplyDelete“Your crimes, whatever they may be, are my crimes” - someone to Kai?
“Yeah I found hum, now he’s gonna find me” - Job?
“You chose to speak to the authorities, as such Mr Proctor has asked me to inform you that your services will no longer be required” - Burton to Juliette?
After seeing sneak peek, the last one line, I think, will be from Burton to this first traitor not to Juliette.
ReplyDeleteWow, I guessed two, nice :)
ReplyDelete“You came to see me when I was inside, I'm just returning the favour, seeing if there’s anything you need?" So Sugar will be the second visitor. Wonder if Alex will the first one.
