Whoa!! Damnnn... I have a bad feeling some big casuality is coming up. Either Sara or Moira :( I love every one in this show. I don't want any one to die.
I dont think Sara will die and I honestly dont think that Laurel will become Black Canary in this version even IF Sara dies (or just goes away). People seem pretty adamant that Laurel has to become Black Canary, but just because its a comic book thing dosnt mean the show has to replicate it.
I actually hope the show steps back a bit from its comic book roots and comes up with some original storytelling that dosnt involve the standards of the DC universe. Give it some space like what occured in season 1.
Just because she is not much in the promos doesn't mean she will not be a part in Slade's plan for revenge. I think it was deliberate that they showed every other character in the show during that monologue of Slade except Felicity. It was done either to make fans discuss more or they have some thing important planned. I'd like to think of latter as who her father is might be revealed soon.
Slade is bound to stick around at least until the finale dince Kreisberg confirmed he's *the* Big Bad of Season 2. Dude is scary! And they better not touch Sara or I'll start a riot.
These scenes looks like they are until episode 18 deathstroke. What are they going to do for the next five episodes? Sara is not going to die. She is at least there in episode 19. If they They better not kill Sara this season.
As much as I love Sara and kind of love Helena does these two actresses actually have the acting ability to carry a show on their shoulders? I don't think so,
They could may be... If they keep the script tight it could work too with another great actress as Oracle. I would really like to see a live action woman oriented super hero show on tv.
The first part will, but thankfully this trailer also includes at least two sequels, "Suicide Squad" and "Birds of Prey". It's developing into quite the franchise!
The only other TV trailers on this scale that I've seen were of the woefully underrated (mostly in its first 2 seasons) Nikita. My favorite being this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-x2c2lMdrI
Breaks suck, don't they? On the other hand, the list of shows I want to catch up on/try out is so long that it comes in handy in that regard.
Nikita is a tricky issue... I think it depends on how emotionally attached you get to shows. The show spanned 3 seasons and a mini fourth season (6 episodes) that was basically a gift from The CW to allow closure, since ratings at that point were beyond terrible. The show starts off so-and-so, but steadily gets better until it becomes downright awesome around the mid-point of Season 1. The second half of that season and Season 2 are among the best TV I've ever watched. It's a fine thrill ride of action (as good as Arrow's), plot twists, breathlessly fast-paced storytelling, awesome characters, witty dialogue, deep themes you wouldn't expect on a CW show, fine acting and all around epicness. In the third season... well... you've still got the great cast, the fight scenes, the compelling plots, the twists and turns and all that. The production values are still impressive, too. But the level of writing takes a nosedive, in my opinion. Way more plot holes, half of the characters become much less likable, a lot of storylines are poorly developed and have disappointing conclusions, etc. It remains fun and addictive but whereas in the first 2 seasons, the more you think about an episode the more you realize the subtle nuances and depth, in Seasons 3-4 further analysis only reveals how ridiculous everything is. The fact that Season 4 is so short after the killer cliffhanger that ended Season 3 doesn't help matters, either - it's extremely rushed and cuts everything to its bare essentials. They do manage to get their act together in the final two episodes of the series and go out with a largely satisfying finale, though, so I'll give them that. Enough shows have disappointing finales that this shouldn't be taken for granted.
Well, sorry for turning this into such an essay. I can't stop writing when I get into it. :) I guess my advice is to watch, because there's so much awesomeness in the first 2 seasons that it's a pity to miss no matter what, but if you like it and get as far as Season 3 - adjust (read: lower) your expectations and try not to be too invested. I think most fans agree that the show hit its peak in the Season 2 finale and never managed to reach the same heights again.
Idk, it's tough. The network already tried and it didn't work. Idt the network would attempt it again. If they wanted to try again with a Birds Of Prey series, it would probably be better if another network did it. JMO
THIS TRAILER IS AMAZING!!!! I rather have Moira die then Sara but whatever they do its fine maybe they could just have Sara go away for Laurel to be the BC. I do wish to see the Flash again but this makes up for my wishes seeing a good battle. I love the part in this trailer where Roy punches Slade in the face it makes me wonder what is he gonna do it is going to be crazy
I know, this is the first time I'm seeing something like this. Very intriguing. It's on Stephen Amell's facebook page (for replay purposes). He describes it as a movie promo and it seems every bit like one! :)
I don't think I have ever seen a promo for any tv show like this. I am annoyed spoiler tv don't have a proper replay button. I am going to go find this on youtube.
Felicity may not know Ivo's her dad, or Ivo may have changed his name after leaving Felicity and her mother. I doubt Oliver did a background check on Ivo since he probably thinks Ivo is either dead or far away from Starling City.
I am not sure if she will be directly involved in Slade's revenge plan but I am sure Felicity will have some important role to play in the coming episodes. They won't simply side line her. Mark G tweeted there is a lot of Felicity coming up. I don't put much value into his words but still her part might be too spoilery to put in the trailer.
I also think they deliberately did not put her in that monologue part of the trailer so that her fans would freak out and more internet discussions will happen. Its kind of their MO nowadays.
I really, REALLY hope it doesn't end with both Sara and Slade dying. I feel like they might wrap the story up with Slade and kill Sara to start Laurel's transformation into Black Canary.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
GOD DAAAMN !!!
ReplyDeleteThat is one hell of a way to close out a trailer. Damn.
ReplyDeleteOMG
ReplyDeleteWow, just wow. I just wonder with the Huntress will help Oliver at some point. I guess that he will need all the help in the world.
ReplyDeleteOne of the best trailer...WOW!
ReplyDeleteAWESOME trailer..... wow
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight or focus much tomorrow until 8 pm. So ready for this episode.
ReplyDeleteWOW, that was amazing
ReplyDeleteThis looks freaking amazing!
ReplyDeletewow the rest of season 2 looks awesome. Arrow does not fail to dissapoint
ReplyDeleteI cant wait to see how he pulls out that arrow at the end. this episodes looks greata nd it's not even the season finale yet.
ReplyDeleteExciting. Great trailer.
ReplyDeleteBut it makes me sad how Felicity has completely disappeared from 'those he cares about' and almost entirely from the show.
Best trailer ever!
ReplyDeleteJESUS CHRIST this promo was all kinds of awesome! I have chills all over my body!
ReplyDeleteAfter seeing this trailer, think Sara is going to die by the end of this season :(
ReplyDeleteWhoa!! Damnnn... I have a bad feeling some big casuality is coming up. Either Sara or Moira :( I love every one in this show. I don't want any one to die.
ReplyDeleteYeah, hopefully just Sara dies and not Slade. :p
ReplyDeleteI dont think Sara will die and I honestly dont think that Laurel will become Black Canary in this version even IF Sara dies (or just goes away). ReplyDeleteThat's so cool, they're making a $200 million dollar budget Arrow movie, coming soon to a theater near us!
ReplyDelete... wait, no?
Slade is bound to stick around at least until the finale dince Kreisberg confirmed he's *the* Big Bad of Season 2. Dude is scary! And they better not touch Sara or I'll start a riot.
ReplyDeletesilly rabbit. ; )
ReplyDeleteThese scenes looks like they are until episode 18 deathstroke. What are they going to do for the next five episodes? Sara is not going to die. She is at least there in episode 19. If they They better not kill Sara this season.
ReplyDeleteFace it, that's what you like about me. :-P
ReplyDeleteOk. that was cool.
ReplyDeleteA Spin-off with Black Canary and The Huntress, please. It would be so awesome *-*
ReplyDeleteIf a spin-off is what saves Sara from being thrown under a bus so her sister can assume the BC persona, count me in.
ReplyDeleteI cannot stop watching this. I've been replaying it again and again AND again for the past half hour. This is not even funny!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love Sara and kind of love Helena does these two actresses actually have the acting ability to carry a show on their shoulders? I don't think so,
ReplyDeleteI think they could improve, like Stephen Amell did :)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I wish this spin-off was more than a fan's dream.
Tis true. ; )
ReplyDeleteThey could may be... If they keep the script tight it could work too with another great actress as Oracle. I would really like to see a live action woman oriented super hero show on tv.
ReplyDeleteThey already did a Birds of Prey series and it failed horribly. I don't see the network trying that again.
ReplyDeleteDo you think her dad is the one who put fyers(?) to whatever he was up to on the island?
ReplyDeleteI'm speechless!!!
ReplyDeleteIf the alternative to Sara dying so Laurel can become BC, count me in.
ReplyDeleteYup, it's titled The Promise and will be coming to US TV screens at 8pm tonight.
ReplyDeleteOh come on Arrow. You CANNOT give us a promo like that. How in the hell are we meant to sleep after seeing this?!
ReplyDeleteYea yrs ago. I liked it. It was Ok. But then it started to suck badly. It didn't even make a whole season if I remember correctly.
ReplyDeleteThat promo was out of this world!
ReplyDeleteThe first part will, but thankfully this trailer also includes at least two sequels, "Suicide Squad" and "Birds of Prey". It's developing into quite the franchise!

ReplyDeletereally miss Nikita. They had some nice (to watch) fights.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen Nikita. Would you recommend it. I want some shows to binge watch during season break without Arrow :(
ReplyDeleteBreaks suck, don't they? On the other hand, the list of shows I want to catch up on/try out is so long that it comes in handy in that regard.

OMGGGG this is intense and I can't wait for the rest of season 2 it's going to be epic!!

They did. Was it any good? Female super heroes are hard to sell on their own as much as I hate admitting that.
ReplyDeleteIf Ivo's her dad could Oliver have known about it all along? After all he did a background check on her before going to her.
ReplyDeleteWith another strong actress like Katrina Law (Nyssa), plus some back-up characters, I think it could work well.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to think that it's because they have something important planned for her, but I'm afraid it's because they don't.
ReplyDeleteSlade's got Sara, Moira, Thea, Royn Laurel, Quentin and maybe Diggle in the spotlight for revenge, he doesn't need Felicity.
I think her dad will be Ivo so they can make that about Sara too.
ReplyDeleteI really, REALLY hope it doesn't end with both Sara and Slade dying. I feel like they might wrap the story up with Slade and kill Sara to start Laurel's transformation into Black Canary.
ReplyDeleteWOW!! I am speechless.
ReplyDeleteWhat a utter beast of a promo! I thought this season couldn't get any better ... this is INTENSE
ReplyDeleteSlade was scary before but damn! So excited about this season, they raised the bar!
ReplyDeleteOMG!!!! EPIC!!! Arrow orgasm!!!
