That's where the "I'm sure it won't" part comes in.
As much as I enjoy Manu Bennett's performance and appreciate what a daunting villain Slade is, the established motivations for Slade turning villain and harassing Oliver annoy the hell out of me.
Lets do this! I think b/c of tonight, this may possibly be the episode where someone (i'm banking on Thea) find's out about Oliver's secret. I'm hoping the cliffhanger isn't too good, b/c after this is the hiatus. GULP! = (
Isablel fighting Oliver has a nice ring to it. Now THIS chick is kickass, Sara and Laurel: take notes. Slade capturing Thea ? Guess he'll choke on his aussie sandwich the moment he finds out she has a dark clothed guardian archer.
Yeah, either theCW promo departement had an extreme brainfart with that promo or Slade's not going to be taken down by this.
Didn't Berlanti say we'd end that episode on a bittersweet and sad note aka. someone's going to bite it ?
Guggenheim said it would end on a bittersweet note. There was also talk way back after 13 aired that 218 would be a place where all hope is lost (for Oliver).
Speculation on how a character (who has done absolutely nothing) may handle themselves in a physical altercation is a far cry from being able to credibly establish that character as superior to anyone else.
So far, the only thing that other characters are able to "take notes" on regarding Isabel Rochev is how to be an emotionally stunted boardroom bore.
agreed as it detracts from common sense as normal Slade would know that Oliver had an impossible choice and the blame is solely on Ivo... but I guess we're left to assume that the Mirakuru has made Slade "Mira-cuckoo"... ah the suspension of disbelief
So Isabel blackmails Oliver into turning over QC to her by using Thea? Isabel and Slade are clearly working together. I am glad to see her back. Initially I thought she was an independent enemy to Oliver. So my guess of Isabel being Robert Queen's mistress was wrong.
I'm willing to bet every dime I have that this isn't the end of Slade, even moreso considering that they actually showed it in the promo. More likely, he laughs it off as though Oliver just tickled him. Frankly, I don't think he'll die even in the season finale, but we'll see.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
"What are you going to do? Kill me?" Next scene shot, arrow in his neck, LOL.
ReplyDeleteI only wish that arrow would actually kill Slade but I'm sure it won't.
ReplyDeleteToo early, if he dies at all it will be in the finale

ReplyDeleteGotta love it! Haha that's the best part in the promo. Must see extended promo! = )
ReplyDeletePreaching to the Choir ;-)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe they went this route, so many better ways to get to the break/betrayal.

ReplyDeleteOh, please.
as if River Tam fighting anyone couldn't outbadass anyone
ReplyDeleteIsabel Rochev is not River Tam and all Rochev has done thus far is flap her gums and screw Oliver.
ReplyDeleteSlade better watch out Roy will be angry and he be the one to take down Slade.......I can't say how this episode will end but Slade won't die

ReplyDeleteIsabel looks like the kind of woman who can handle herself in a fight. She carries herself with way too much confidence.
ReplyDeleteAlso...this is Arrow. Most of the women on this show throw down eventually.

SO Isabiel must be working with Slade hence taking over QC and maybe that how Slade get his funding?
