So... Isabel is allied with Slade?
ReplyDeleteIsabel part of Slades plan perhaps
ReplyDeleteYeah, I would say this mostly confirms it. Now I wish she actually did more this season. I feel like if I was a casual viewer, I would have forgotten she even existed.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a casual viewer and I almost did forget about her.
ReplyDeleteI wondered when Isabel would be back.
ReplyDeleteIt must be Roy who questions Oliver's decisions. I think he will have a problem with not warning Thea. I am glad Isabel is back. When Oliver liquidated his 800000 shares in Time of Death I knew he is going to loose QC or almost loose at least.
ReplyDeleteRoy is a solid guess. I'd have a problem if anyone else on the team started losing faith in Oliver but the ever-volatile and attitude challenged Roy makes the most sense.
ReplyDeleteOr Diggle depending on what happens with the Suicide Squad.
ReplyDeleteMaybe. But after teaming up with the Suicide Squad, Diggle wouldn't be one to talk about questionable decisions... unless Amanda Waller somehow forced Diggle to do a mission with the squad.
ReplyDeleteThat's kinda what I mean. If Waller forces Diggle to go against Oliver... I agree Roy is the first choice but I wouldn't place my bet until after next week's episode.
ReplyDeleteI gotcha. I sure as hell don't trust Waller. That's for certain.
ReplyDeleteNever trust anyone from a government agency ;-)
ReplyDeletehow will Isabel try to take QC from Oilver? has to slade plan to destroy Queen family..
ReplyDeleteNot a lot to go on here. Not even the other stars are mentioned - series regular death??
ReplyDeleteSo now Isabel wants to take over the company?
Aha, Isabel is back at last. I'm eager to find out more about her agenda.
ReplyDeleteI have not seen the slightest hint in previous episode that could lead us to think that Isabel and Slade are allies. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that they are not allies, just that we don't know that. Isabel's arc has been completely separated from the Slade or Green Arrow arcs so far.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing we know about Isabel is that she was raised in Russia but was adopted by Americans, that her name is on Oliver's father list and that she has an history with Moira.
This is precisely how Summer Glau's character Isabel Rochev was introduced in the season 2 premiere: "Isabel Rochev, the beautiful and dangerous Vice President of Aquisitions for Stellmoor International, a company looking to take over Queen Consolidated."
ReplyDeleteThanks to Walter, Isabel's hostile takeover failed and Isabel and Oliver became de facto business partners (and more than that in episode 2.06 "Keep Your Enemies Closer" :-)
"Yeah, I would say this pretty much confirms it."
ReplyDeleteNot necessarily (see my detailed answer in this thread).
"Now I wish she actually did more this season. I feel like if I was a casual viewer, I would have forgotten she even existed."
I agree with that.
What, you forget about the Glauddess? This is a Glausphemy!
ReplyDeleteYou need a Glau-fix, quick!
Side note: yes, hard-core Summer Glau fans can joke about themselves and not be taken too literally ;-)
Yeah, I know she always wanted to take over Queen Consolidated. But I thought that after her hook-up with Oliver, she would be more friendly. Guess I am wrong.
ReplyDeleteI'm still hoping that hook-up will turn out to actually mean something in terms of plot, especially since that episode was titled "Keep Your Enemies Closer". Perhaps Isabel planted a hidden camera in the room and will use a video of their little tryst to turn the QC board against Oliver or something. Of course, how she can do that without completely trashing her own professionalism is a good question...
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Summer Glau was busy with other projects, because a recurring character with somewhat of an arc disappearing for THAT long is pretty odd. She will have missed 9 consecutive episodes by the time we get to 2x18.
ReplyDeleteHopefully Merlyn returns soon.
