AMC‘s foray into sci-fi is being put on hold. The cable network has passed on drama pilot Line Of Sight, from Brotherhood creator Blake Masters. Co-produced by Fox TV Studios and AMC Studios, it centered on Lewis Bernt (David Morrissey), a National Transportation Safety Board investigator who survives a mysterious plane crash, bringing him on an emotionally disorienting quest to discover the accident’s cause. Line Of Sight, which emerged out of AMC’s 2013 annual script showcase, was the first sci-fi project to get a green light at AMC. It co-starred Sarah Clarke, Kai Lennox, Olafur Darri Olafsson, Omar Metwally, Samantha Mathis and Chinasa Ogbuagu. FtvS plans to shop the pilot elsewhere.

Ah, that's a shame. I was quite intrigued by the premise.
ReplyDeleteHope another net takes a look at it.
Hopefully for AMC this doesn't come back to haunt them. I remember seeing somewhere that HBO once passed on TWD, Breaking Bad and Mad Men. Someone lost a job over that...
ReplyDeleteTo bad, hopefully another network will pick it up...
