The humble city of Modesto is far inland from San Francisco, surrounded by farmland. Parts are pastoral, while others are grittier with rising crime due to gangs, drug trafficking and addiction.
All over the news are reports about a young couple who were attacked in their home. Matt Skokie, a war vet, was killed and his wife, Lily, was raped and beaten unconscious. This tragedy sends shock waves into the community, stirring up tensions across racial lines, and connecting victims, suspects, and their families.
Matt’s father Chuck (Timothy Hutton) has flown in from Arizona for the grim job of identifying his son’s body. He and his ex-wife Barb (Felicity Huffman) haven’t seen each other in a long time and she is still angry with Chuck for his gambling addiction that destroyed their family. Barb became a struggling single mom and regrets having to raise Matt and his brother in public housing – as the only white kids there, they were badly treated. Chuck got the help he needed to overcome his addiction, but it took a lot of time to repair his relationship with his sons.
They are at the hospital with Lily’s parents, Tom and a tearful Eve, watching over their unconscious daughter. They still believe there is life in her, but doctors tell them that they are pessimistic that she will ever recover, even if she wakes up.
The two couples have to decide whether they talk to the press. Tom and Eve are not ready, but Barb wants to keep the story front page so the people who did this to their children are arrested. It’s been several days and no arrests. But that will soon change. The police are about to arrest four suspects.
There’s teenager Tony Gutiérrez raised by single father, Alonzo. He insisted that Tony and his daughter, Jenny, steer clear of gangs and trouble. But, Tony rented out a car from his father’s garage to a thug named Hector Tontz… mainly because he was too scared to refuse. Because that car was at the scene of the crime, Tony is arrested. Later, Hector is arrested with force after he was caught using victim Matt’s credit card.
Police get Hector, who proclaims his innocence, to give up petty crook Carter. He and his 20-year-old white girlfriend, Aubry, are methheads and always looking to buy. They are broke and desperate, and have a knack for finding trouble, like at a club when black girls beat up Aubrey for being with a ‘brother.’
Cops burst into their apartment and arrest the couple. Is it possible they knew the victims?
The investigation takes a turn when a search of the couple’s home reveals a disturbing secret. The case has just gotten bigger and the players will have their lives torn apart. A racially charged drama, from the point of view of the victims, the accused, and their families – written and produced by Oscar winner John Ridley (12 Years A Slave).

With test scores hurting at this San Diego school, they are fighting for state funds, and Gomez convinces the administration to replace music classes with a mandatory test prep class, drafting Alfie to teach it. Alfie springs into action to save the endangered music program — and his free period. Secretly, he has another agenda: to impress the beautiful and altruistic chemistry teacher, Sarah (Brittany Snow).
Using begging, cajoling, and hopelessly inept flirting, Alfie gets Vice Principal Gomez to allow him to put on a talent-show-slash-fundraiser to keep music in the school. She secretly hopes his incompetence will get him fired. Alfie’s group of barely talented performers will need a miracle to keep their music program – and save Alfie’s job – in this fast-talking comedy based on the award-winning British hit show Bad Education.

It’s 1976. After 19 years of marriage and 6 kids, Teddy and Cathleen’s (Molly Shannon) lives are in a rut. But that was before a detour on their road trip brought them to the lakeside Bambi Cottages. Now, the Burkes are the proud owners of these 6 funky vacation cottages in New Hampshire.
Overworked and dangerously optimistic Teddy believes that this is his chance for happiness and quits his big city job without telling Cathleen. But running a business with family is anything but a vacation.
The ‘staff’ includes 7 year-old Phyllis who never speaks, 9 year-old Elliot who’s gay but too young to know it, 12 year-old Wally who likes lighting matches a little too much, 14 year-old lazy Russell, 15 year-old Nathan who is way too agreeable, and 17 year-old Veronica, who’s a pretty teenage girl with the personality of a cranky, middle aged woman.

Andre ‘Dre’ Johnson (Anthony Anderson) is about to be promoted to Vice President of Relevant Advertising. He and his physician wife, Rainbow (Tracee Ellis Ross), are living the American dream: great careers, four beautiful kids, and a Colonial home in an upper middle class neighborhood. However, Dre starts to see his perfect life differently when he discovers that he’s being promoted to “Urban” VP at his firm and in the same week, his son announces that he wants to have a Bar Mitzvah. All of a sudden it hits Dre: Has success brought too much assimilation? Is his family of out of touch with their own identity?
Dre’s opinionated, old school father, Pops (Laurence Fishburne), and his liberal wife have very different opinions about how Dre should handle the promotion and Dre Jr.’s birthday request. But Dre has it all under control. In order to prove that he hasn’t lost touch with his roots, he presents an extreme version of an “Urban” marketing campaign at work that raises more than a few eyebrows. He also decides to throw an African Rites of Passage ceremony for his mortified son.
Ultimately, Dre’s family helps him realize that the best way to live is by embracing the new while honoring the past. He decides to throw his son a hip hop Bro Mitzvah and the successful event inspires him to create a multicultural ad campaign that wows everyone at the office.
Living the American dream isn’t easy, but Dre is determined to find a way to hold onto his cultural identity while embracing a new future in this comedy that is written and loosely based on the life of Kenya Barris (The Game), and executive produced by Larry Wilmore (Bernie Mac).

Clementine (Sarah Snook) has psychic powers that are both a gift and a curse. And these days, mostly a curse. She is in prison for illegal gambling. And her young daughter, who lives with her ex, thinks Clementine is her aunt.
Her darkest chapter began at age 8 when her mother, also a psychic, identified a murderer to the police. But they couldn’t protect her from the killer’s brother. Her mother was shot in front of her, exactly as Clementine had drawn it ten minutes prior. She has kept her psychic powers under wraps ever since.
About to be paroled, Clementine realizes she needs to stop running from the past and start over. But old habits die hard, and she is back to illegal gambling for her daughter’s school tuition. She wins big, but luck isn’t with her; the police raid the place.
While being questioned by Detective Ray Allison (Mykleti Williamson), she has a psychic moment. She warns him of a massacre and he is able to avert disaster moments later. The shooter, Terence Mehl, is arrested; he is the same man who killed her mother. In the confusion, she escapes and takes refuge with her estranged father (David Strathairn).
Detective Ray is intrigued by Clementine’s correct prediction and investigates her background. He comes to her rescue when Mehl escapes a police transport and tries to kill her.
Now that the cops and criminals know about her psychic gifts, she will have to rely on them to survive in this drama from Mark Gordon (Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds).

Can she really be with a man who doesn’t want her to succeed? We’ll see.

Based on the Annika Bengtzon series of books from the New York Times #1 best-selling author Liza Marklund.

What starts as an investigation into the death of a foreign-born high school student, leads to deeply troubling truths about local police and underage coerced drug informants. Anna follows the story to Fresno, where she is tracked down by a fugitive whistle blower, alias “Stoya,” who hints at a government surveillance conspiracy so big and so deep, it’s beyond science fiction.
Anna uses Stoya’s information to unravel the mystery in Fresno, but it becomes clear that the real story is Stoya himself, and the secrets he holds in his head. As her relationship with Stoya shifts from professional to personal, our heroine must question whether his exposure is for the greater good, and at what cost. Her brother, who runs a high tech security firm, warns her that pursuing this story is too dangerous. Whistleblowers are silenced by very ordinary accidents. It’s the 90s and 12-year-old hip-hop loving Eddie just moved to suburban Orlando with his family. Before this, his immigrant family settled easily into Washington DC’s Chinatown. But here, it is pure culture shock for them. Orlando doesn’t have a Chinatown… unless you count the Huang house.
The popular kids at Eddie’s junior high school are impressed by his love of hip-hop, but banish him from their table when he opens up his ‘fragrant’ traditional Chinese lunch in the middle of the crowded cafeteria. It is almost as bad for his immigrant mother, Jessica (Constance Wu), who has never seen the inside of a traditional American supermarket and can’t understand the fast-talking, rollerblading neighbor moms. Plus, the Florida humidity is a disaster for her hair.
His immigrant dad, Louis (Randall Park) is the complete opposite. He loves all things American and proudly embraces his patriotism with his Old West themed American steakhouse complete with wagon wheel tables. He’s determined to bring in more customers and make his restaurant a success so his family can prosper and be happy in this country.
His Grandma Huang is in her own world, cracking up while she watches the shopping networks with her new credit card in hand. Although she speaks no English, she is inexplicably tickled to death by Joan Rivers.
Eddie has to watch out for his 9-year-old brother Gary, the suck-up of the family, who is always ready to tell on his brothers every chance he gets. It is Eddie’s 11-year-old brother, Freddy, who is fitting in best. He scored a girlfriend the first day of school while Eddie, trying to maintain some street cred, ended up in the Principal’s office for fighting the school’s other least popular kid.
Through it all, they have each other’s backs and their American Dream. Based on chef Eddie Huang’s memoir Fresh Off the Boat.
Galavant - Half Hour
Comedy
CAST LISTING - Joshua Sasse, Karen David, Timothy Omundson, Vinnie Jones, Mallory Jansen, Luke Youngblood
CREDITS LISTING - PRODUCTION COMPANY: ABC Studios; WRITER: Dan Fogelman; EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS: Dan Fogelman, Alan Menken, Glenn Slater
Dan Fogelman (Crazy, Stupid, Love; Tangled; Cars) teams up with Broadway and Hollywood’s award-winning musical team — composer Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid; Beauty and the Beast) and lyricist Glenn Slater (The Little Mermaid; Tangled) — for a musical comedy fairytale of epic proportions.
Once upon a time, the dashing hero Galavant (Joshua Sasse) was a slayer of dragons, protector of the innocent, and defender of the less fortunate. But one day, the evil King Richard (Timothy Omundson) fell for Galavant’s ladylove Madalena and kidnapped her. On Madalena and King Richard’s wedding day, Galavant courageously fought his way back to the palace to rescue his love. And while this is where most fairytales end happily ever after, it’s where the tale of GALAVANT truly begins. Madalena stuns Galavant when she announces that she chooses fame, fortune, and the crown over Galavant and breaks his heart.
Five years later we rejoin Galavant, heartbroken and drowning his sorrows in drink. Having given up on heroics, he’s a bit out of shape and flat broke. But his faithful squire Sid sees a momentous opportunity when Princess Isabella of Valencia arrives in search of “The Great Galavant.” She asks him to save her kingdom from its evil invader… none other than King Richard himself. Galavant must get back in the saddle, literally and figuratively, to take revenge on his nemesis, win back Madalena, and restore his “happily ever after.” But our fallen hero doesn’t realize that Isabella might not be revealing the whole story…
Our hero’s quest for redemption will have many twists and turns along the way. And as one of the songs from Menken and Slater proclaims: “Huzzah And Tally-Ho! Sit Back And Here We Go!”

They compete against each other at all costs for the attention of brilliant, charismatic, and seductive Professor Annalise DeWitt in Criminal Law 101 aka HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER.
Professor DeWitt (Viola Davis) is a master litigator and invites all four of these students who want to work on a high profile murder case. She manipulates them into doing dirty legal legwork like seducing someone to gain insight in the prosecution’s case, or digging up dirt to discredit the star witness. Wes even witnesses Annalise having an affair, and soon learns her lover is actually an unwitting pawn on the witness stand. She wins her case with ease and the students question just how far they are willing to go to earn a seat next to her in a courtroom on the next case.
Although they know this formidable professor is dangerous, they will need her help, four months later, when they find themselves arguing out in the woods standing over a dead body. Now they are all entangled in a masterful, sexy, suspense-driven legal thriller from Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers, executive producers of Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal.

Andy (David Schwimmer) and Sarah (Jessica Knappett) deal with all of the challenges of a middle class family, without accepting the fact that they ARE middle class. As far as they’re concerned Andy is a novelist on the verge of becoming the next Philip Roth, only “more blunt,” and Sarah, a morning show host on a second rate channel, is on the path to becoming the next Diane Sawyer — “only prettier.”
Andy will never be Philip Roth. The closest Sarah will ever get to Sawyer is living in the same city as her…
They live in New York and struggle with the usual trials and tribulations of a young family (only they’re not so young). We could describe them as extremely eccentric, somewhat spoiled, highly selfish, and pretty manipulative.
They have excellent values and are quick to defend them with confidence — often exposing their worst traits and biggest insecurities. Despite all of these qualities, they are exceptionally good people — in their own eyes, of course. In reality, they’re a couple just trying to make it as parents, professionals and grown-ups.
IRREVERSIBLE is a semi-scripted comedy based on the hit Israeli series Bilti Hafich, and is written and directed by the original Israeli co-creator, Segahl Avin.

Have you ever wondered what your date was really thinking?
This romantic comedy explores the differences between men and women by highlighting the disparities between what they say and what they really think throughout the course of a relationship, by exposing their unfiltered thoughts.
Southern girl, Dana (Analeigh Tipton), is new to the city and ready to make it big in the New York publishing world. On the outside, she is full of ambition, passion, and confidence. Inside her head, she doubts her outfit, hates her ankles, and is sure she’s said and done exactly the wrong thing in every situation.
In contrast to Dana’s unsettled life, she is temporarily staying with her college friend Amy (Jade Catta-Preta) and her husband David (Nicolas Wright), a seemingly perfect couple who set Dana up on a date with David’s brother, Peter (Jake McDorman).
Like with Dana, we are privy to all of Peter’s inner thoughts. We know how charming and suave he thinks he is on his first date with Dana…and how he is sure it is not his fault when she runs out of the restaurant crying after five minutes.
But with a little encouragement from their friends and family, Peter and Dana will try again. And again. And we will hear exactly what they are thinking every step of the way in this romantic comedy from Jeff Lowell (Drew Carey Show and Spin City).

Since his father died, he’s been taking care of his mother and picking up the slack for his single siblings, Tommy and Heather, who don’t share his work ethic. 29 year-old Heather, usually the slightly more responsible of the two siblings, announces she is pregnant. Francis hits the roof; he doesn’t want Heather condemned for eternity and is determined to get her married before his mother finds out.

Thanks to the magic of laser hair removal, push-up bras and filters on photos—she is Instafamous with 143,000 followers. She shamelessly tweets about being pushed in a wheelchair through the airport because her 5-inch Louboutin shoes ‘are a kind of disability.’ Her nonstop selfies and posts raise her profile and rack up the ‘likes.’
But one lonely day, she has a revelation: being friended is not the same as having friends. She enlists the help of marketing guru and buttoned up co-worker, Henry, to ‘rebrand’ herself and her reputation. In return, Eliza flirtatiously offers to do “almost anything” but Henry just blushes and insists their relationship is strictly business.
Eliza fails her first test when Henry catches her playing Candy Crush on her phone during a wedding ceremony—with the sound on. Listening to the vows “gave her the feels” and she just needed an escape. Her disregard for his rules pushes Henry to quit, but Eliza charms him into giving her another chance. Besides, people are beginning to notice the sparks between them.

Welcome to THE CLUB… it is Connecticut’s most exclusive with stunning vistas, rolling fairways, impeccable courts. Money and connections will get you in, but the beautiful people and their scandals will keep you coming back.
At its center of things are the descendants of THE CLUB’s founding family: the powerful and wealthy Holbrooke family. Flawless blond Mickey is the queen bee and a force to be reckoned with. This tightly wound tennis champ is never far from a glass of wine or anti-anxiety pills.
Her father is 79-year-old Winston Holbrooke III. The old man has still ‘got it,’ but that didn’t stop his trophy wife from leaving him – for his eldest son, Win. Before the two ran off together, Win left the finances of the club in the hands of a Wall Street scammer. Now, the club is millions in debt and may not survive.
Mickey’s husband Randy is considered a pushy jerk, but is keeping the place afloat with lots of cash. The SEC is after him and agents want Mickey to testify against Randy. She wants to be loyal to her husband, at least in these matters, but something is making her doubt his loyalty to her.
The members at the club have their alliances, rivalries, and affairs on and off the courts and fairways. And sometimes they cross the lines with the people who indulge their every desire. Towel boy, Jesse, is the target of Mickey and Randy’s gold card carrying 17-year-old triplets who make bets on who can seduce him first. They aren’t the only ones lusting after him. And pursuing Ana, who also works at the club, is Mickey’s 23 year-old brother, Forty, just back from rehab. Definitely against the employee rules, like accepting tips. Ana’s mother and head of staff, Hilda, wouldn’t hesitate to fire her own daughter if she finds out. But she’s cleaned up lots of dirty laundry in this place… and we’re not talking towels.
A decadent and seductive drama from Oscar nominee Susannah Grant (Erin Brockovich, Ever After, Party of Five).

Parents have a soft spot for their children. In THE WHISPERS, an unseen alien force has figured this human weakness out. They have invaded earth and are using our most unlikely resource to achieve world domination – our children.
In the country’s center of political power, Washington DC, several kids have been talking about their imaginary friend, Drill. What the parents don’t know is this friend is not as imaginary as they assume. Drill is able to entice the kids to play very dangerous games with very real consequences.
FBI agent Claire Bennigan has been called in to investigate the case of a 6-year-old girl who almost killed her mother playing a game with her imaginary friend. She wonders if this girl is disturbed or is there something bigger at play.
Meanwhile, halfway across the world, the defense department just sent Wes Lawrence to the Sahara Desert, where he witnesses what looks like an alien spaceship and something else even more inexplicable. Someone needs to start putting the pieces together to save humanity. As the game clock counts down, and the children unwittingly help the aliens, it’s a suspenseful race against an unseen enemy. Amblin TV is co-producing with Dawn Olmstead’s Grady Girl.
The Winklers - Half Hour
Comedy
CAST LISTING - Henry Winkler, Domenick Lombardozzi, Eva Amurri Martino, Judith Light, Josh Sussman
CREDITS LISTING - PRODUCTION COMPANY: 20th Century Fox; WRITER: Phil Rosenthal; EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS: Phil Rosenthal, Max Winkler
There’s no one more loveable and caring than the famous Henry Winkler–played by Henry Winkler himself. He worries about his wife, Tita, and his children, Emily and Jonah, and his koi fish, especially Moishe. When his elderly chef is tired, Henry whips up lunch for the family. He even hides Easter eggs filled with money and candy for the construction workers who are renovating his house. Everyone is happier with a hug from Henry, except his son-in-law Jack.
Jack (Domenick Lombardozzi) and Emily (Eva Amurri Martino), the princess of the Winkler family, are an unlikely match. They met when Jack was the construction foreman for the Winkler renovation and stood up to Emily’s demands to stop all work because it was too noisy. Henry fell in love with him and knew his daughter would too. Now, Jack and Emily are married with a baby on the way.
Being part of the Winkler Family is not easy for blue-collar Jack who shies away from open displays of emotion and the Beverly Hills lifestyle. He wants to earn everything he has, so the couple is living in a 1-room dump on her pre-school teacher’s salary and his construction jobs.
When Henry and Tita need to be in New York for a year, it only makes sense for Jack and Emily to housesit. But, after a change in plan, the Winkler parents are back a lot earlier than expected, and they have their daughter and son-in-law right where they want them… at home! Now, a culture clash between Jack’s world and Henry’s will come to a head in this comedy from Phil Rosenthal (Everybody Loves Raymond).
Untitled Kevin Hart Project - Half Hour
Comedy
CAST LISTING - Romany Malco, Bresha Webb, Jeff Ross, Amber Stevens, Corinne Massiah, Bryant Tardy, Jayson Blair
CREDITS LISTING - PRODUCTION COMPANY: 20th Century Fox; WRITERS: Neil Goldman, Garret Donovan; EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS: Kevin Hart, Neil Goldman, Garret Donovan, Dave Becky
Based on the family life, marriage and divorce of actor/comedian Kevin Hart, writers Neil Goldman and Garrett Donovan (Community, Scrubs, Family Guy) explore the question: “Can a man and woman ever truly be friends… after they’re divorced?”
Derek (Romany Malco) and Lorraine (Bresha Webb) were high school sweethearts who married and started a family right away (they literally got married at their graduation party). Like any good divorced couple, they know how to push each other’s buttons, especially as they start dating other people. Their two kids, 6-year-old Ruben and 11-year-old Nicole, are adjusting just fine to joint custody and to Derek’s new girlfriend, Mircea (Amber Stevens). She’s an exotic beauty who is smart enough to go with the flow when it comes to Lorraine… at least most of the time.
But when Mircea teaches Derek’s daughter how to braid her own hair, Lorraine is furious about losing a precious “mommy moment.” In retaliation, she has her new boyfriend teach their son how to ride a bike. Derek can’t believe that Lorraine manufactured a special “daddy moment” specifically so that he would miss it. He’s all set for a confrontation with her new young boyfriend Chip (Jayson Blair), only to discover that he actually likes the guy. Not only does he like Chip, but he provides Derek with some thoughtful insights about having a healthy relationship with Lorraine that’s based on friendship.
Can Derek and Lorraine put their volatile past behind them and forge a friendship for the sake of their kids and their new significant others? They will certainly try.
Untitled Tom Donaghy Project - 1 Hour
Drama
CAST LISTING - Bojana Novakovic, Clancy Brown, Aaron Ashmore, Erik Palladino, Daniel Henney, Jee Young Han, Meta Golding, Christian Keyes
CREDITS LISTING - PRODUCTION COMPANY: ABC Studios; WRITER: Tom Donaghy; EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS: Tom Donaghy, Mark Gordon, Nick Pepper, Michael McDonald
Designer-clad big city criminologist Dr. Agatha McAuliffe, started life on the wrong side of the law. It’s hard to believe she went to prison for robbery, but that only makes her better at solving cases. She has an instinct for people and an eye for the smallest detail.
Like when the FBI was trying to take credit for her work, she outed the agent’s predilection for online porn and gambling… all because of his twitching pinky and inexpensive watch. Set. Game. Match. Impeccably dressed Agatha.
She even knows her boyfriend, Rey Cordoba, is about to propose because he is wearing a new shirt, uncharacteristically, and wants to go on a picnic in Central Park. She gets a glimpse at the beautiful rock, but the perfect proposal has to be postponed… she’s just gotten an urgent call from her policeman brother, Jimmy, to go to Philly. She packs her Louis Vuitton bag with the precision of a bento box and heads to her hometown.
It’s a missing girl case and the police welcome her with her old rap sheet inside the case file. She takes it in stride… and reads it out loud to them. She may have her PhD from Stanford, but she has the street smarts to play ball with them.
The case is headed by her father, Detective Hank McAuliffe. Estranged for years, the tension between them is still there, but Jimmy urges them to put aside their differences and find the girl before it is too late. Against her father’s wishes, Agatha reconnects with shady characters from her former life in hopes of uncovering information.
This perplexing case will unleash the ghosts of her family’s past in this character driven police procedural from Mark Gordon (Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds).
Warriors - 1Hour
Drama
CAST LISTING - Morena Baccarin, Don Hany, Greg Grunberg, Eloise Mumford, Courtney B. Vance, Justina Machado, Steve Kazee, Hampton Fluker
CREDITS LISTING - PRODUCTION COMPANY: ABC Studios; WRITER: Chris Keyser; EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS: Chris Keyser, Todd Lieberman, David Hoberman, Laurie Zaks
Back from a tour of duty in Afghanistan, Dr. Tory Hampton (Morena Baccarin) returns to work at Bethesda National Military Medical Center, just outside of Washington D.C. It is a city unto itself whose patients include Washington’s elite, military families and critically injured soldiers returning from war, some of whom may stay at Bethesda for a year or more. It is a place where doctors, military heroes themselves, treat our nation’s heroes with trailblazing medicine.
Recovering from the physical injuries is only part of the healing process; many soldiers need to learn how to live again after the brutality of war, and that’s when they turn to Dr. Hampton, an outstanding psychiatrist. As it turns out, like many of her patients, Tory is healing from PTSD herself.
Her colleagues include Dr. Hennessy Fiske, an orthopedic surgeon and a genius in prosthetic design; wheelchair bound OB/GYN Leonard Meaney, whose injuries are a source of mystery and keep him from operating; Stacey Weebling, a young surgical resident who is challenged by the pressures of treating the critically injured soldiers; and Anna Stonecifer, an OR nurse, whose secret lover, fellow nurse, Tess Ong, is about to be shipped off to war.
And there is Dr. George Morgan, a remarkable surgeon, who served with Tory in Afghanistan. In the fog of war, the two had a brief affair that they are trying to put behind them, but it isn’t easy. George wants to rekindle things with Tory, and for now, has been ignoring the increasing advances of Stacey who has fallen hard for him. Tory is trying to settle back into family life with her young daughter Jo who she adores, and her husband Clay, who is being patient with the distance between them.
This dedicated team of doctors and nurses care for the wounded warriors and their families like Marlon Pruitt, a double amputee, who will struggle both with his life changing injuries and his fragile marriage to Sienna, the woman he met and married a month before shipping off; Victor Tibor, whose PTSD won’t let him sleep; and Darla Olney, a war widow and soon to be a mom.
Bethesda National Military Medical Center is a place of hope where heroes take care of heroes and the passion for healing is as intense as the friendships and affairs that are ignited inside its walls – in this drama from Chris Keyser (Party of Five). Martin Campbell (Casino Royale, Last Resort) is directing with Mandeville Films (The Fighter, The Proposal, Detroit 187) and Scripted World (Hostages, Betrayal) attached to produce.

Thanks for compiling.
ReplyDeleteSea of Fire and The Whispers sound interesting
Eh...nothing really grips me.
ReplyDeleteForever, Sea of Fire and The Whispers sound like they could hold potential.
Selfie sounds like a reverse of MTV's Awkward.
I Will Be Giving All Of Them A Try Like I Do With Any New Tv Series, But The Ones That Really Stand Out For Me Are Forever, Sea Of Fire, The Whispers, Galavant and How To Get Away With Murder.
ReplyDeleteABC is gonna make dozens of new shows and then cancell most of them without resolution to the story...So many propositions and nothing special, they should make 1/3 of those series but make them really top-notch.
ReplyDeleteForever- another example that tv channels ran out of ideas for medical dramas so they add special abilities to the main character of the shows, just like they've been doing to the characters from many crime dramas, we had blind detective, very intelligent one, cop who remembered every single detail, etc, etc...The saddest part is people still watch this crap...
May be interesting based on the premise or the cast:
ReplyDeleteAmerican Crime, Exposed, Fresh Off the Boat, Sea of Fire, Secret and Lies, Selfie.
But nothing really grabs me.
American Crime sounds good but they need to change the title. D. liasons will get picked up just because of the cast.
ReplyDeleteClementine The Whispers Selfie Untitled Tom Donaghy Project Galavant sounds interesting to me
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome. I would be lying if I said that it was fun, lol.
ReplyDeleteThe Whispers sounds good (it seems ABC realized that the original "Visitors" title/reference should have been confusing).
ReplyDeleteI think i'd be more compelled to watch these shows if there were not so many of them... kind of a too much at once thing.
ReplyDeleteI think it's clever to have a bunch of shows lined up but when you take into account what is already on everyones personal TV Guides they might struggle to get an audience. Few of these grab me... even the ones that do I doubt I'll stick with for more than 3 episodes.
Gotta admit the batch is quite good for ABC. So far I'm interested in Clementine (seems a lot like Believe but grittier), Forever (Hadn't even heard about this but it certainly sounds interesting), Galavant (a musical comedy show with Tim Omoundson as the bad guy? sign me up), Sea of Fire (seems like a less weird Twin Peaks and has Jennifer Carpenter so sign me up for that as well.), and The Whispers. Also going to have to watch Selfie because it's Karen Gillan and John Cho and I love them both.
ReplyDeleteI will watch The Whispers for sure.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping for "Forever" and "Exposed", and if it goes to series I'll check out "Dangerous Liaisons".
ReplyDeleteI was excited about "Secrets & Lies" but I'm on the fence... firstly because it was downgraded from series to pilot (that can't be good!) and secondly: I'm two episodes in the Australian version and I'm pretty sure I already know who the killer is...
Not read all of them but Forever sound's interesting
ReplyDeleteHow to Get Away With Murder. The Whispers, Secrets and Lies. So far for me. If ABC has all these shows is store. What will happen to the old ones? So scared for Revenge and SHIELD.
ReplyDeleteWho says Secrets & Lies was downgraded? As far as I know, ABC has ordered 10 episodes of the series.
ReplyDeleteThis is a nice crop of pilots. If they make it to series, I will watch Bambi Cottages, Clementine, How To Get Away With Murder, Selfie, Sea Of Fire, Fresh Off The Boat, Warriors and The Whispers.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't "downgraded". It is a pilot with a 10-episode penalty. So it will film a traditional pilot.
ReplyDeleteThese are just pilots, only a handful will get series orders.
ReplyDeleteThese are just pilots, only a handful will be ordered to series.
ReplyDeleteSo out of 24, we'll get only 5 or so? That's, I don't know what to say.
ReplyDeleteDepends on ABC's needs. Last year they ordered 10 series to order put of 27 pilots.
ReplyDeleteBut yeah, that's what happens during pilot season. Networks order quite a few pilots and only some make it to series.
Wow, ABC finally has some really interesting pilots! I'm most interested in Forever, Clementine, Sea of Fire, Exposed, Secrets & Lies, The Whispers, How to Get Away With Murder, Fresh Off the Boat, Selfie, and Damaged Goods. They all sound great and I'll be happy if any (or all) of these get picked up.
ReplyDeleteSea of Fire sounds like a modern take on Twin Peeks to me. I never cared for the original because of the supernatural element, but I'm game for an all human version. I definitely hope this one gets picked up because I love Jennifer Carpenter. I'm also loving the premise of How to Get Away With Murder. It has a brilliant cast, so I'm rooting for it.
ReplyDeleteWhat is it with Timothy Hutton playing a father with a dead son?
ReplyDeleteSeeing Shonda's track record on ABC, I think ABC will pick up HTGAWM no questions asked.
ReplyDeleteSecret's and Lies has a series penalty, which means they have to pick it up.
ReplyDeleteThey ordered it to pilot with a 10-episode penalty.
ReplyDeleteNothing here interests me (but then, I'm not surprised - I don't usually watch ABC shows). There's a nice array of actors that I know of here though. Also, I think on the Tom Donaghy one, it should be Game. Set. Match instead of Set. Game. Match.
ReplyDeleteI want Sea of fire, Secrets & Lies and How to get away with murder to be picked up for series!
ReplyDeleteDramas I'm hoping to see make the cut:
ReplyDeleteClementine - Not very original but the cast is good so it could work.
Forever - I've been calling this "New Amsterdam 2" since it was announced because that's exactly what it is... and I still want to see how it turns out anyway.
Sea of Fire - I'm not sure I'll even like this but it has a Twin Peaks vibe to it so I'd like to check out the finished product.
Untitled Tom Donaghy Project - An interesting idea for a procedural and a solid cast.
Comedies I'm hoping to see make the cut:
Blackish - I like Anthony Anderson and I'm hoping this is the right project for him.
Galavant - A bizarre idea with Timothy Omundson as a lead? I'd be willing to try it.
Saint Francis - Stale idea with an amazing cast so it could work anyway. Definitely writing dependent.
Selfie - They had me at Karen Gillan.
Projects I want to go away:
Bambi Cottages - Retro comedies seem to be a popular idea right now. I haven't liked a single one of them. Pass.
Dangerous Liaisons - I have no desire to watch a show about rich people being scumbags.
Fresh Off the Boat - Comedies like this almost always turn out to be unfunny and racially insensitive. Another pass.
Secrets & Lies - Ryan Phillipe is a deal-breaker for me.
The Club - Seems like a Revenge clone to me and one is enough.
Warriors - ABC already tried something like this with Combat Hospital and that show was the TV version of Ambien.
Where's The Visitors?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteThe Club and Secrets & Lies both have a series commitment, BTW.
ReplyDeleteYep, the renamed it.
ReplyDeleteSame here, none of it really interests me. I'm more of a CW/Syfy watcher.
ReplyDeleteOh swell. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. ABC has been making some terrible drama choices over the last few seasons.
ReplyDeleteI'd give Selfie a shot because Karen Gillan and John Cho... Otherwise meh....

LMAO at "Galavant" i would like to see how will that play out,
ReplyDeleteDangerous Liaisons sounds like a good one also Whispers soudns interesting.
Just because a show is "top notch", doesn't mean people will watch, lol.
ReplyDeleteSomeone mentioned that Forever is ABC's successor to Castle :)

I think most of these have the potential to be good. How good they are is another matter. But Selfie for Karen G, The Whispers for the plot and Lily Rabe, Clementine, and Galavant are all shows I hope get a series pickup.

Not really liked..
Thanks for the info. I appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteWhere is Agent Carter?
ReplyDeleteWasn't ordered to pilot.
ReplyDeletemost of those shows looks down right awful...
ReplyDeleteOnly interested in Warriors
ReplyDeleteThanks to Babar Suhail for compiling and putting together this list. Since character is such an important element for me in determining what shows are good, hold potential, or are a pass I found this format a bit of a challenge. Forever is one that is so familiar to me on a story level that I would need to either watch the pilot or read the script to decide. (I miss the days when I had the connections to get copies of pilot scripts)
ReplyDeleteThe shows I'm most interested in are Clementine, Sea of Fire, The Whispers and Warriors.
While I don't think I'd watch it I think Bambi Cottages could be a success for the network. Something about Galavant appealed to me. Blackish, eh, I can empathize with the main character's POV, but I'm not sure that makes a series.
I'd check out Forever, Untitled Tom Donaghy Project, How to Get Away with Murder (liked the twist of the last paragraph, but is it a feature rather than a series?), Warriors.
Misses i felt the need to mention....The Club (doesn't sound like there are any characters to like, let alone root for, in this show), Secrets & Lies (feels more like movie and a series. It's hard to tell why I would want to tune in repeatedly)
You are welcome.
