Oh come on, you know this poll is invalid from the get-go: Most people will probably vote for their favorite actress (which will definitely be influenced by a show's popularity, among other things) and in the end, the appearance of an actress will be no factor on this poll. And you know, what? It shouldn't. Why do we have to evaluate an actress' attractiveness instead of talent, or general personality?

ReplyDeleteI'm partial to Caroline Dhavernas. Have been ever since Wonderfalls. She doesn't look quite as good now as she did back then, but it's a barely noticeable difference (and may have something to do with Hannibal's lighting, because she still looks great in interviews).

ReplyDeleteI'm going to get downvoted for this but (sigh), here goes: It is not shallow to make note of the attractiveness of TV actors. They are chosen by TPTB of casting for their attractiveness, because viewers respond to a pretty face. A pretty face sells. After all, we are staring at those faces for the better part of an hour or so each week, and staring at a screen is different than interacting personally with people.

1) Daniela Ruha (NCIS LA) - is my husbands and my no 1 in generall (if you just go by looks)
2) Anna Silk (Lost Girl) - really sexy without too vampy and she has the skinny model figure.
3) Kirstin KreuK (BaTB) - and I don't even watch the show and only a few episodes smallville.
[4] Maggie Q (Nikita) - ok, she doesn't count so I'll pick a fifth on my list

ReplyDeleteI'm also surprised that Taraji Henson from Person of Interest isn't on the list. She is a gorgeous woman, and even though her character is now deceased on the show--she will likely be back in flashbacks, and she is stunningly beautiful.

ReplyDeleteNot really, I love Tatiana Maslany, I think she's an amazing and really talented actress, if the poll had been for best actress she would've been my first pick, but in this one she's not, because in my opinion there are prettier actrecess than her. And yes this polls will allways be subjective because we all have different views on beauty, on a lot of things actually, but that doesn't make the poll less fun, and people who don't like them they can just do some other things they enjoy.

true the question could be phrased more honest. but from the posts I read I have the impression they are all Aware of the superficiality and HOW subjective these answers are. Some bring up what they define as beauty and that is what makes polls like these interesting.

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but that belief that "I do it, so generally people must do it", is not just naive, it's a child's notion. Those polls always turn to favorability (not even the "subjective type of beauty" that you mentioned, just who people like most). Arguing this is like arguing if the earth is round with you.
