This was a hard one to choose. I went with Root & Leona (apparently I'm the ONLY 1 who picked her). But I coulda went with Red, Mr. Gold or Regina & felt I made the right choice as well.
This was a tough one, but ultimately I went with Mellie from Scandal and Victoria Grayson from Revenge. These characters have both done terrible things, but I can't help but empathize with them. I also give a lot of credit to Bellamy Young and Madelaine Stowe, who portray their respective characters brilliantly.
Captain Renard. is another great character. I like the fact that he always supports NIck and Hank (even though it's probably to his own benefit). Red (The Blacklist) is an excellent character, but it's hard to like or empathize with a character with that has so many layers of hidden agendas and manipulates everyone to serve his needs. We really don't know him. As far as villains go, Even though I don't root for Henry Parish he gets my award for best villain. On the other hand, while I see Gold and Regina as essential to OUAT, I rarely empathize with either character, because the evil things that they have done are way too extreme to justify anything good that they've done. Gold is a little more self-aware and understands the consequences of what he does, but Regina is the worst kind of sociopath, because she has also has borderline tendencies: She has a warped view of the world, unreasonable expectations of others, and constantly sees herself as a victim.
John Noble got such an AWESOME role in Sleepy Hollow, I can't even begin to explain what a shock it was. His story is definitely one of great potential.
Huge Louis fan, I hated him during Suits' first season but he has become one of my favorites since the show developed him to something further than being an obstacle for Mike.
Root - She is deliciously good Red - depending on the moment he is kind, the next he is putting 4 bullets in ya! Henry Parish - Because its John Nobel. No other words needed!
Regina from OUAT and Cyrus from Scandal. Henry Parish came close. I also considered Monroe, but then I remember I don't really like the character that much
What a tough choice: I voted for Monroe (Revolution) Rendard (Grimm) but Gold (OUAT) and Red (The Blacklist) also ones I really enjoy to watch. Peter from Teen Wolf would have gotten my second vote if he would have been on the list.
Other: Boyd Crowder, on paper he is a villain, a real bad guy but Walton Goggins brings such empathy to the character and their is a complexity to his actions.
I'm way, way, WAY behind on PoI (you wouldn't even believe it if I told you, LOL), but I've seen enough to believe that Root is one of the most interesting and original villains on TV, very cruel sometimes but with a complex motivation that makes her quite an intriguing character. So she's my first pick. Second one goes to Victoria Grayson from Revenge, because as villainous as she can be, she's also human in a way Conrad isn't. Ice queen that she is, there's still a beating heart in there somewhere, and that's largely thanks to Madeleine Stowe's talent and subtlety. Honorable mention: Regina Mills.
The Red Queen, Captain Renard, Henry Parish, and Raymond Reddington are all good choices, but I decided to give the first vote to the Red Queen because she is sometimes literally the only thing I like in an episode and that's enough to keep me coming back. The second vote is harder so I went with Captain Renard for longevity. He's been on screen longer and therefore I ahve liked him longer.
Ive been rewatching the vampire diaries from the beginning and Damon has really become so dynamic over the years. He started out as the villain and the opposite of stefan's good nature, but over the years, he started feeling more and started caring, especially about Elena. At the end of the last episode when he went bad again, it made me feel almost heartbroken that he was pushed to that
LOL almost no comments from people who voted for Damon. They are probably too afraid to get a lot of minuses)) Yet he got the second place. Well I did. I also voted for Reddington.
Captain Renard. He's so bad he actually arranged to have Nick's Aunt Marie killed, but once he revealed his true self to Nick, they've been okay with working together. Nick even forgave Renard for schtupping his girlfriend, though of course there was a matter of a spell involved.
I went with Raymond Reddington for my obvious first vote because he's just the best imo. The second was a little more difficult and i had a hard time choosing between Reynard(Grimm), Monroe(Revolution), and Louis(Suits), but i finally ended up picking Reynard. His character has fascinated me since the beginning and i just LOVE him working with Nick and Hank. He may have his own agenda against our grimm at a later time, but for now, he is our teams MVP IMHO:)
Damon. Always...I would've voted Henry also but after that Sleepy Hollow season finale, i couldn't bring myself to do it. LOL he really pissed me off. (even though that was a helluva twist)
People that are afraid to comment on their favorite characters b/c of negative comments, are betrayers to their "Favorite" Characters. They should be ashamed of themselves! lol I voted for Damon and had nooo problem confessing about it.
Yes, I just finished rewatching season 1-3 and I know what you are saying. Him going bad again after all this time just tells us how bad he is hurting.
I don't usually bother voting on polls especially the ones where i have to register or that can be voted many times by one person. What fanbase are you talking about? Stefan fans? klaroline or QUAT fans? It's a real question, i really don't know)))
Regina on "OUAT", and Red on "Blacklist". Although, I haven't seen John Noble on "Sleepy Hollow" yet, and I loved him on Fringe, so my answer may change after seeing his episodes.
On the list: Regina Mills - OUAT Cyrus Beene -Scandal
but really. Emily Thorne - Revenge (shes done bad things but she only does it on guilty people, who really do deserve it. but there are innocent collateral damage., But she's not the one who hurts them (ok except Sara but she was in the way, and she got out fine anyway), the Graysons or the Initiative do. Not to mention her and her father's lives were destroyed, as well as the families of 247 people killed just on the plane, and those they've killed after that, their lives were ruined, and those responsible just walked off like nothing happened, and better off too. Sometimes it takes some collateral damage, to destroy the real bad guys so they wont kill people. which is pretty likely for the Graysons and the initiative.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeletePeter would have been a great option. I love how he is always two steps ahead, manipulating everyone no matter what situation comes up.

ReplyDeleteI like Amy Ackerson as Root. I've liked her since the Buffy days.
ReplyDeleteNot a single one of them and you left no opening for one I would choose.

ReplyDeleteActually, Damon was way ahead in first place until a certain fan base got wind of the poll. This happens every.single.time.
ReplyDeleteDamon! I don't watch a lot of the other shows in the poll. Plus I love Damon and I am not afraid to admit it!
ReplyDeleteYes, I just finished rewatching season 1-3 and I know what you are saying. Him going bad again after all this time just tells us how bad he is hurting.
