OK I'm not trying to be difficult, but with 6/7 episodes left to the season.......What was the point of the whole season in general. Feels like mini story's that just don't relate.
It looks like now that Nadia is out of commission, someone will find and use the dagger Katherine used to kill Gregor. We know it won't damage Elena's body. The trick is putting Elena back in her body. Since Katherine killed the traveler that sealed Elena inside the corpse, it's hard to say whether or not that spell was broken. If it wasn't, Liv might not be able to bring Elena's spirit back. That might be why Bonnie has another conversation with Katherine after Katherine is on the other side. It looks like that will be when Bonnie finds out some "terrifying secret," which probably has something to do with the war between travelers and witches. I love that Damon said, "She's brilliant!" about Katherine's latest scheme. Classic Damon. Unless he wasn't talking about Katherine. Anything edited can be deceiving.
So waiting to put an end to this. The reveal! Personally. I'm gonna take this to crazy town in the fandom universe. And call THIS Episode, MYYYY episode. Why? B/c I've made my feelings about this storyline so clear. I've ran it into the ground. To the point where i'm getting sick of me. And that's BAD! So, it's finally coming to what SEEMS like an end. And this is ep. 15. Of season 5. So it's 5.15. WHICH is also my birthday. AND when it IS my birthday this year, TVD will have it's season finale. So with that said, i'm just going to take this episode as a peace offering to me. And the promos are saying, "Here Shannon. We're sorry. Please don't die." And i'm be all, "Thank you. Yes it was a close one. Please don't let it happen again. All is forgiven. Not really. But this is a start." Hahahahaahaha
I said this in the beginning of the season. LOL I completely forgot what the theme of this season was suppose to be. Like we're all just watching, but seriously?? What was the plot of the first half??? Completely lost on it. smh.
Its just that nothing adds up, there are no proper ties. No actions that link one incident to another. the stories just appear with the actors feeding us updates. I mean with few episodes left in the season. They are going to have to do a rush job linking it all for the finale. Then can you imagine who S6 will churn out!
It really doesn't. I'm totally confused on what this season was suppose to be. If i remember right. Before the season began they were promoting it back to, "We're starting over from square one, kinda touching back to season 1" I remember that specifically, b/c everyone was all "Great Old Damon, old Damon, we want the season 1 Damon back" (Smh, rolls eyes). So with that in mind. The whole Amara/Silas, Elena/Stefan/Katherine. Written in the stars, crossed lovers The universe yada yada yada, crap came about. And i think telling us more of Damon's story. That gave us more insight of why he turned off his humanity in the first place. It wasn't just Katherine, it was Enzo too. And that could also lead to the answer of how come Damon and Stefan hadn't seen each other in 15 years. Now that that's over! I have no idea what the second half is supposed to be.
I think you're right. They will have to fast forward to tie everything together. I'm just hoping that they start NOW by next week. No later than that, and not give us an extremely fast season finale where there's so many plot holes, that we won't be able to figure anything out.
Its not just the random plots being dropped one after another. This show stated to get inconsistent during S3, and I thought S4 was a complete meteorite to the show....but S5 they have completely disregarded the little mythology they had, they have not answered questions from S4 before giving us more to ask, with the constant promise that they will be answered in time. Nothing makes sense. I don't see relationships or even basic friendship.....I see a bunch of toxic people co-dependent on each other. All the protagonists want to bed hop or be in a relationship without tasting independence.....an all the villains want to die for their true love, who turn out to be nothing but pert inexperienced teenagers. I have grown out of this show. Not even my darling Stefan can keep me tuned.
The character has been under-utilised both as Katherine's daughter and Matt's love interest, bad the scene where Katherine reveals she searched for her and, hopefully, her death scene for both characters. As beautiful as Olga Fonda is I've found her to be a little too stiff in the role to really warm to her. This show is in desperate need of new main characters, they really could've done with having Bonnie or Jeremy staying dead permanently and not coming back. I'm hoping that Liv (the witch Bonnie tutors to do a locator spell) and the upcoming character Luke are both being brought in to stick around long term, I'm losing count of the endless collateral damage and generic love interests. At least with both of these we know they're serving a different purpose to the plot.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
If they kill Katherine does that mean Elena is gone as well?
ReplyDeleteSounds epic!

ReplyDeleteLooks like Nadia will be dying.

ReplyDeleteTHANK. YOU! This season has been terrible in terms of having any type of direction or point.
ReplyDeleteThat would be awesome. Her character is pointless, pathetic and poorly developed.
ReplyDeleteI highly doubt CD Knews the first thing about Chess or how to play it.
