Wow, since when does TVD get sneak peeks in such good quality?^^

  2. The quality is so good you can actually see definable shapes! They even look human!

  3. Yeah...Tyler is WAY too good for Caroline. I mean, what great guy wouldn't openly try to take advantage of a "grieving" woman by getting her drunk? He's a real upstanding guy! Caroline is clearly worse off without him in her life. :D

...nope! I just can't do it. Sorry guys, I can't do that whole "explaining away shitty behavior" thing that the TVD fandoms are so widely known for. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I think I'm going over to the Tyler tumblr and see what they come up with. Maybe it takes a pro.

  4. I hope they find something for Tyler to do other than sit around and get drunk. What was the point of bringing him back if that's all he's going to do?

  5. ohh boy! Loss for words. smmfh

  6. No one is asking you to explain away shitty behavior. I will suggest that you come to terms with the fact that the entire series is based on and is fueled by shitty behavior and then adjust your expectations accordingly.

  7. They never should have made him come back.

  8. I'm so sick of Tyler, ugh. And he's usually gone for at least a part of the latest seasons, so that should say something. I'm even sicker of the love triangle with Klaus. Klaus is another pain in the ass, but at least he's gone from MF and I like TO because of the other characters, but Tyler is just annoying. His MAN PAIN is getting close to Damon levels, which is alarming.

  9. If I adjust them accordingly my expectations will no longer exist.

  10. Now you're gettin' it.

  11. Tyler can't even freaking breathe without people b*tching about. JFC!

  12. Tyler is ridiculously dull. Big finale death please.

  13. Not sure why the writers brought back Tyler at all.

  14. it's embarrassing....but while I would go to bat for Tyler any day of the week because of the terrible shake he's been given on this show, I do agree with people that they need to move his character along, maybe even making him a villain or something because right now he is being tied down by Caroline much like Stefan was with Elena early on last season...

  15. trying to take advantage of a grieving woman would imply that she's unaware of his intentions & considering we the audience KNOW that Nadia isn't actually grieving I'm pretty confused at what you're trying to get at, other than trying to justify Caroline's "shitty behaviour" which is not in any way relevant to this stupid clip about Tyler whining and wanting to get drunk, and inviting Katherine's demon daughter to do the same

    ReplyDelete
  16. I understand why he's upset but how can he justify trying to sleep with the woman that messed with Matt? She stuck a traveler in him and then later buried him alive. Yes, there's the Elena thing too but I'm not going to blame him for something he doesn't know about yet. Apparently no one but Nadia and Kat know about that yet.

  17. Almost everyone has been involved with someone who has tried to or successfully hurt someone else's friend or family member on this show. Elena dated Damon, Stefan just slept with Katherine, Caroline & Klaus, Matt & Rebekah, and to a much lesser degree I'll throw in Jeremy with Anna & Vicki.

When all is said and done, I don't think Tyler will be the issue here. The synopsis for this week's episode says "Tyler (Michael Trevino) starts to worry about Matt’s (Zach Roerig) relationship with Nadia (guest star Olga Fonda)." I guess this means it will be Matt making the questionable companionship decisions.

  18. Definitely agree about the storyline. I'm just over the unreasonable hate. The only thing I want for Tyler is an interesting storyline. If not then please kill him off for good. I love him, but they have been misusing his character for a few seasons now. I don't know who gets worse treatment, him or Bonnie. And unfortunately for me, they are both my faves.

  19. You're forgetting one half the equation here. WE know she isn't grieving, WE know she's aware of what he's doing. TYLER, you know the actual character in the show, does NOT know those things. How does her and our knowledge make his attempt to take advantage of a drunk and grieving effect him in any way? It doesn't.

She and we have knowledge that Tyler doesn't have. I don't see how you can logically imply he has the same knowledge. To put it simply, he doesn't have that knowledge, so what he's doing is in fact really shitty.

And I never excused Caroline's behavior. She did a shitty thing to Tyler. Does that give him a free pass to do a shitty thing to someone else? And you're right, it has nothing to do with Caroline's shitty behavior. YOU are the one who brought that up, and then criticized yourself for doing it. So...you know...that was smart of you.

Actually think about your response next time, because what you just said made no damn sense.

  20. I forgot about that synopsis. It's weird that's how it goes down going by the clip. Hmm, maybe Nadia will need some information about Elena from Matt and when she tries to get it, Tyler will notice something? Maybe nothing major but enough to help put the pieces together at a later date when other peeps start having weird vibes about Nadia and "Elena" and the fact that neither Bonnie or Jeremy can commune with Katherine on the otherside, even though Bonnie saw her start to die - therefore she'd be an otherside dweller not a resident of the "other other side, lol" that humans get...

    ReplyDelete
  21. You bring up a good point about Bonnie. You would think that with how much everyone dislikes Katherine, the first thing they would do is check with Bonnie to confirm that Katherine passed through her and is really dead.

    ReplyDelete
  22. All he did was buy her a drink. I don't think he was trying to take advantage of her grief.. Miserable people have a tendency to gravitate towards each other because they feel some kind of connection or want to commiserate together. Plus, as much as I like Caroline, I really do think that Tyler deserved better. I'm not saying that he's a better person than Caroline. I just don't think that she truly loved him or understood him.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I really hope that the writers didn't bring Tyler back on the show to dump on him even more. The character really deserves a more positive and interesting arc. I'm so over the Elena, Damon Stefan love triangle and their redundant plots. , The writers need to change things up and shift their focus to developing the stories of some of the other characters like Tyler, Jeremy or Bonnie.

  24. Caroline has had feelings for Klaus for a while - and I remember Tyler picking up on them back at the end Season 3 and at the time Caroline told Tyler not to be jealous of Klaus. So I'm kind of surprised he didn't see it coming.

    ReplyDelete
  25. But how can he get a decent storyline? when he is just about to have a drink with a pretty (potential love interest) girl at the bar certain people accuse him of trying to take advantage of "grieving woman" Haters will hate him even he saves a bunch of kittens from fire. They will be all like: he just wants to eat them.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Isn't this what you're doing? I mean, you're trying to imply Caroline is too good for Tyler in actuality right? But Caroline kind of slept with someone who's killed thousands, killed Tyler's friends, killed Tyler's mother, almost KILLED her.etc. I find that trying to take advantage of a grieving woman is far worse on the totem pole of "Shitty behavior." Of course, I don't let either of those things define my view of the character. Perhaps I watch the show in a totally different light because I've never got annoyed at these things.

  27. I don't have a problem with Tyler and Nadia being a potential couple. I still think we don't know her full story, and her mother abandoned her and still doesn't care about her. I sort of feel sorry for Nadia as a character, and I suppose there's reason to empathize with Tyler as well.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I like Tyler and i like him even more when i see uncalled for hate. Some fans just take it to extreme heights. As for Nadia i liked her character until she helped her mother go after Elena. When i did a complete 180 with her. I want her dead. And i don't think anything good will come out of her and Tyler, since once the truth about Kat comes out, crap will hit the fan in a major way. In the end Nadia with either die with Kat ot flees MF in tears, either way i don't see a happy ending for these two.

  29. Uh no, I was mocking the Tyler fans who have been saying he's too good for Caroline. And nowhere in my post did I rate them against each other in terms of shitty behavior. I was also mocking his fans for their inevitable and complete dismissal of him ALSO doing something shitty. Something I also usually mock Damon's fans for doing.

And look! They did! I've never dismissed any shitty thing that these characters have done. Stefan is my favorite character on the show, and I at least acknowledge he does bad things and not try to explain them away all the time. Unfortunately, fans of individual characters will go to absolutely absurd degrees to make their favorite character take no responsibility for his actions.

TVD is that kind of show though. These characters keep murdering people and there are no consequences. But the fans make it even worse. I've said it before, but Damon could literally murder a cute little kitten in the most terrible way possible every day for a week, and his fans will dismiss his actions, find a way to blame the kitten, and act like Damon is the most gentlest person in the entire world. I have seen them do that, I'm not even kidding. Okay, so maybe not with the whole kitten thing, but them dismissing his actions.

Those are the people I'm mocking when it comes to Tyler. They're treating him like a perfect little angel that has been hurt by the evil, self-absorbed Caroline. Like he's never done anything bad before in his entire life.

Well newsflash to those people, he's not an innocent little baby. He was a self-absorbed jerk for quite a while, and that side of him still exists. If you think that jerk still doesn't exist inside of him, then you're fooling yourselves. The Tyler that existed BEFORE his relationship with Caroline is still there, and right now he's showing it.

THAT Tyler would totally get a beautiful woman drunk so she would be easier to sleep with. It's kind of disturbing how much people are forgetting that he was the kind of person who would do that. I'm not naive enough to think he wouldn't do that now, especially out of anger.

  30. I see an alternative. Something might happen to Nadia, but Katherine might stick around longer because she's in Elena's body. Suppose that when the traveler was killed, the spell sealing up Elena's spirit was broken, and Elena found a new body somehow. If that happened, then Katherine would be kept around until the group can find Elena. First, however, they have to figure out that Katherine isn't Elena, and I don't see that happening very soon based on what Julie Plec has said. She called this an entire chapter. Katherine probably won't get found out until Episode 16, right before the new Big Bad is introduced. Even then, if Elena's spirit has gone into another body, which I genuinely hope is the case (I still don't like thinking about that mutilated corpse), Katherine might still become a permanent fixture because Nina Dobrev is a regular until the end of Season 6.

  31. I don't think they will put elena in some third body, it is kind of a big deal. the actress to play elena would have to be special unless it's just for 1 episode. I think elena is trapped in the burned corpse neither dead nor alive just in limbo. that's why bonnie won't see her. I think elena will have to wait until kat blows her cover somehow, which won't be long, since they are so different. Kat can't even take the garbage out without bitching. So once the gang finds out what happened they will save Elena until that moment we won't see her in any way. I guess it's Kat's turn to take central stage for a bit.
