The Originals' Rebekah and Klaus are about to go through living Hell.
At the end of the last episode, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) had been taken by the new band of witches, dead set on exacting their revenge. From the first minute of Tuesday's episode (8/7c, The CW), the two are in dire circumstances, separated, and being tortured. What unravels is not for the faint of heart.
"The episode is possibly the most terrifying episode of The Originals to air so far," Morgan tells TVGuide.com. "I jumped out of my seat a few times and I knew what was coming. I'd advise not to show the episode to young children. It's pretty frightening."
As Morgan explains, the witches' attack on the Original family and the repercussions of that will play out over the next three episodes "coming to a terrifying conclusion." But before then, the two — with the help of the witches, of course — will be torn apart due to the decades-long secret Rebekah and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) are hiding. If Klaus were to learn his sister and best friend were behind bringing their father to New Orleans — an event that eventually caused Klaus and Co. to flee — could "Always and Forever" be done for good?
"I mean what is 'for good' in terms of an immortal?" Morgan says. "But it's a huge betrayal and not something that can be forgiven, and I don't know that Klaus would be satisfied putting Rebekah in a time-out with a dagger." Added to all the backstabbing Klaus has already been around, this would only intensify his lack of trusting anyone. "He already is very untrusting and suspicious of people's loyalties to him, and this will confirm he was right to be suspicious all along," Morgan says. "His experiences have shown him not to trust anyone but himself, so this is a confirmation of that so he'll find it difficult to team up with anyone...I don't know if there's coming back from this."

I can't quit this guy.
ReplyDeleteOh this sound good, cant wait to see the consequences with Marcel and Rebecca's actions
ReplyDeleteI hope that if Klaus breaks away from the vampires and aligns with the werewolves Hayley will do the same (she's been obsessed with the werewolves since her character was introduced so it would be weird if she didn't).
ReplyDeleteI know a lot of people on other sites (and tumblr) are rioting over the part about Caroline - but I thought it was pretty obvious that Candice would remain on TVD until the bitter end (Season 6) and that they don't have any more cross-overs planned. Klaus & Caroline have totally different priories right now and Caroline was pretty clear she wanted to do the college thing right now. That doesn't mean that down the line they'll never reconnect or anything though.
Sooo Klaus remains trusting no one. Yet wants his siblings to trust him?? Well, i think we've all seen that before. Sooo with that said, still excited for tonight. Less than 5 hrs to go.
ReplyDeleteHe's stated before that he doesn't trust Rebekah because she blabs everything to whoever her love interest is (he said so in early Season 4 when Stefan was in the room with them) and knew that she would be incapable of keeping her mouth shut about the cure and would impede his and Stefan's efforts to cure Elena.
ReplyDeleteIt sounded like maybe at one time Klaus did trust Elijah because in TVD Season 2 Elijah told Elena that Klaus didn't trust him anymore - so that implied to me that something happened that led to that aside from the Katherine incident. There is always someone plotting against Klaus or trying to kill him so I'm not surprised in the least that he doesn't trust anyone and is paranoid - who wouldn't be? Everyone he has ever cared about has likely turned on him at some point (we've never seen anything to suggest otherwise) and plotted his demise.
I wasn't looking for a play by play, Sara, honey, not this time. Idgas about Klaus and his trust issues. My comment above was me being a smart ass. ; )
ReplyDeleteCould Klaus really break away from Rebekah. An her with him....as in truly break away. I always got the impression and loved this about them, that Klaus and Rebekah were more closer than with Elijah. Sure they have a twisted sense of love and loyalty to each other but they always find themselves together [with excuses] While Elijah did his own thing else where. From daggering to almost letting others kill you, seemed just like a 1000yrs vampire siblings tiff of the day.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love Elijah, its Klaus and Rebekah's interaction I look forward too.
On TVD Klaus & Rebekah were always the closet but now it's been retconned that Rebekah is closer to Elijah.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I can't refresh as easily as the writers think the viewers can. I can't forgive and forget 'family guy' Elijah's dismissal of his two brothers death by the TVD gang (Elena) or forget the Klaus and Rebekah were once closer than TO is revealing.
