And? The tagline for the first poster is suggestive about what happens after the hiatus. The result is the same. A sweeps poster for a show with significant absences during sweeps.
Well, there's only one more episode in February (last week of the month) and since it looks like that episode is going to be Klaus & Rebekah being tortured I can see why they would be the two chosen in this case.
That's part of the reason I was so shocked to learn it was going on hiatus again so soon with Feb sweeps. That, and we didn't get hardly any new eps before the new hiatus. :(
I guess it's safe to say he finds out what Rebekah did with baiting Mikael to NOLA and he's gonna be PISSED. I'd imagine he'd be even more pissed off if he finds out it was because it was some plot for her to be able to be with Marcel without his interference. Klaus HATES it when his siblings choose a lover over him.
It's interesting that this has been interpreted as being about Elijah's revenge. I got the impression, from the way Klaus is facing Rebekah, that the tagline is about Klaus' revenge on her. Of course Elijah will be driven to save his siblings, but that will be more of a violent rescue mission. This could be a fan-made poster anticipating what will happen when Klaus finds out what Rebekah and Marcel did in 1920. If it is official, then Rebekah is in a lot of trouble.
Winter Olympic years really screw with network schedules. The other networks are putting plenty of their shows on break until the end of the month as well.
Rebekah does have a poor track record of picking bad dudes. Even the hot wolf guy was a bad choice. Look what he did. AND if Klaus were at that party, already he would have seen right through him and not liked him. Us girls think back to our dads/brothers who hated/disliked/had a bad vibe about certain guys we rather liked. I think he knew Marcel was not a good choice for Rebekah. Marcel did quickly jump on choosing immortality over her. I personally think it was a test on Klaus' part. He failed it. Because if he had chosen Rebekah, eventually Klaus would have seen that Marcel's intentions would have been noble and he would have turned him or let Rebekah turned him. With Stefan and with Matt, he does not see them as using Rebekah.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Well The CW does love promoting the originals.
ReplyDeleteit loves promoting two of them
ReplyDeletetheCW hates Elijah doesen't it ?
ReplyDeleteA sweeps poster for a sweeps month in which the show will spend the majority of time on hiatus? That's an... interesting strategy.
ReplyDeleteor it's fanmade
ReplyDeleteThat still wouldn't account for the sweeps poster The CW already released.
ReplyDeletebut they released that prior to the hiatus. This being released after the final episode before the hiatus makes even less sense

ReplyDeleteIt looks real to me, and either way it's a good promo. Both Klaus and especially Rebekah look great. Maybe they will release Elijah's later

ReplyDeleteIt may be about jealousy, or he could decide that this is the final straw after who knows how many decades or centuries of betrayal from her.

ReplyDeletebut walking dead is coming back and not going anywhere;-)
