Lol at Klaus being the one to teach Cami about importance of family and forgiveness. He is such a different person when he is around her, he shows more character growth in 1 minute with her than in all the scenes with Elijah and Rebekah demanding him to treat them better.
What?? Wtf was that?? LOL Since when the hell does Klaus care about family?!?! That is rich!! Wow. I know he likes Father K, but he sure as hell wouldn't hesitate to kill him, if need be. Regardless of his feelings for Cami. He should take that niceness and shove it up his ass. lol He just blew smoke up hers. Smh, that's funny....on another note, Klamille! LOL
Well, when you're right you're right. Klaus may be a lunatic but, in this case, he's not wrong. Because of Cami's experience with Klaus, I have my doubts she'll be willing to consider his advice.
I think Klaus does like Father Kieran - and that makes sense to me. So I could buy him trying to help out Kieran but I still find it OCC that he would care at all about Cami.
Klaus cares about family in a very dangerous way. He's afraid of loving them and losing them, so he alienates them to protect himself. With their family history it's totally understandable. But he's also conflicted about doing that, and often tries his best to keep them close by.
Like the thing with Marcel and Rebekah, when Klaus gave him a choice of having Rebekah or being turned. That was a test to see if Marcel would give up everything for her, and he failed. Considering how much Klaus cared for him, I have no doubt he would have turned Marcel eventually even if he chose Rebekah.
Klaus has very odd ways of showing his love for his family, but it does exist.
I didn't say he didn't. But the way he treats them is awful. Despite his insecurities about it. I still think it's rich. B/c he can tell Cami that, but if it came down to telling Rebekah and Klaus he wouldn't do it. It's just ridiculous. Then he gets mad when he goes by their terms, and they don't see it. And then it's their fault when they don't believe him that he cares for them. Yeah that's his fault. Not their's. If he actually showed them the compassion he shows Cami, then they'd actually put down their walls a little bit.
I think it's just a vicious cycle. Who knows who betrayed who first in that family. We'd need a lot more flashbacks/history. But they just really can't trust each other at all. Rebekah seems to always be chasing after some love interest and betraying her brothers and it wouldn't surprise me if she's pretty much been doing that for her entire life. In Season 4 of TVD Klaus (when talking with Stefan) said that Rebekah couldn't be trusted because she would just blab everything to any man who showed her a hint of affection so he obviously feels like he can't trust Rebekah because as soon as soon as some guy shows up that she's interested in she turns around and betrays him and it's probably just happened so many times at this point that they're sort of stuck in the same cycle.
Ok so b/c she's ridiculously naive when it comes to men, that gives him the right to kill them all?? Or for her NOT to be happy with any man she comes across?? He's way too protective/jealous of her when it comes to men. He wouldn't let her be happy with Marcel. She chose Stefan over him, and he daggered her. He killed Alexander (that i could see why, but still). He didn't know about Matt or the fact that she slept with Damon, so i'm not gonna put that on him. But i have no doubt that if he knew, Klaus would do something to them too. Ohh but Kol took care of Matt, so that wasn't completely off the hook.
And what about Elijah?? What reason did Klaus have to turn in Celeste, b/c she was a witch? Really? Or what about Katerina?? Elijah met her first, but Klaus just swooped right in, Even telling him that Love makes them weak. And Tatia?? They fought over her, and then Esther killed or w/e she did to her, needed her blood. Or Hayley now for that matter??
But If Klaus finds love, sleeps with Caroline, cares for Cami MORE than his baby momma, it's all fine and dandy? And his siblings don't say anything about it. How is that right?? We've seen plenty of flashbacks. And with those Flashbacks, it was always Klaus who betrayed both of them the most. (Disregarding the fact that Elijah couldn't stand up to Mikael when he tortured Klaus) Yet they still stick by his side. But he also pushes him away, b/c of his actions. But i do agree with you that none of them can trust each other.
How so? She's a blonde with plenty of attitude who has major moral objections to who he is as a person. It's exactly like Caroline who he also has a thing for. Seems in character to me.
Katherine was a doppelganer and they knew that the minute she showed up because they already knew what she was going to look like. Elijah was helping Klaus break the hybrid curse (back then) - Klaus had been planning to do that for 500 years before Katherine had ever even been born. Elijah was planning on giving Katherine an elixir though so she wouldn't stay dead but he was fine with Klaus killing her to break the curse. That's a completely different situation.
Klaus was well aware that Rebekah was off with Matt and actually told Elijah he hoped that she stayed gone. Matt wasn't plotting to kill him or anything so Klaus didn't care that they were together.
We saw Elijah betray Klaus first on the show. He was plotting to kill him so Klaus wound up daggering him - but he wasn't daggered for very long. Klaus has NEVER actually plotted to kill his siblings that we've seen. But Elijah has plotted to actually kill Klaus before and considering Rebekah lured Mikael to NO knowing that he was the one person who could actually kill Klaus means that she in a way also did plot to have him killed.
On the subject of Elijah plotting to kill Klaus in Mystic Falls, Klaus wasn't the only one Elijah betrayed. He manipulated Elena into agreeing to sacrifice herself so that he could use her as bait, and he still didn't kill Klaus. Elijah's obsession with saving his family, or protecting women that he might or might not have feelings for, is dangerous. It makes him unpredictable. Maybe he deserved to get daggered after the curse was broken, but probably not for the reason Klaus did it.
Klaus probably hides whatever his reasons are for killing or forcing away most of Elijah and Rebekah's love interests. For all anyone knows, Elijah repeatedly had lovers over the centuries who were a threat to him or his family and Klaus just didn't want to tell him. Klaus certainly didn't tell him everything about Hayley, and I'm sure there's a story behind Klaus giving up the witches, including Celeste. She said that she resurrected herself five times over the past century. She might have been bad news all along.
As far as Matt is concerned, I would like to know myself why Klaus never bothered him. Rebekah could have made him a vampire and run off with him. Klaus had no objection to them traveling the world together. Maybe Klaus liked Matt as someone for Rebekah, who knows?
Ok they knew Kathrine was a doppelganger, but it doesn't change the fact that Elijah fell for her first. Klaus was only using her to break the curse. Once Klaus knew that Elijah must've had said something, Elijah then went on the search to find her, for Klaus' sake. Once again, choosing his happiness over his brother. He was not fine with Katherine being killed by Klaus, not at all. Hence the Elixir to revive her. But what did she do? She took her own life, and centuries later Elijah punished Katherine by keeping her in that cave.
Klaus never knew about Matt and Rebekah, not at all. That was Rebekah's secret to keep. And the only one that knew of her affections for Matt, was Kol, out of the Mikaelson clan. And Matt hated Rebekah for a long time, so even if Klaus knew, it wouldn't have mattered, b/c the feelings weren't mutual at the time. And Klaus didn't know about Matt and Rebekah and their summer fling.
Of course Elijah did!!! KLAUS KILLED THEIR FAMILY!! (so he thought) So of course Elijah was going to avenge that.I don't blame Elijah for that at all. But then he couldn't go through with it b/c of what Klaus said, then all of a sudden Klaus daggers him. I mean really. And they would've stayed daggered if it wasn't for Elena, Damon, and Stefan. As for Rebekah, Klaus killed their Mother, ruined her relationship with Marcel, drove Kol, Finn, and Elijah away for his actions, so yes i can understand her actions too with trying to get Mikael. Klaus kept the in a box for over a century and 900 plus years. Daggered, immobile, you might as well say that they were dead. B/c every time they didn't abide by HIS rules, he ended up daggering them to teach them a lesson. He is very selfish, for Klaus, it's his way or the highway.
Klaus knew about Matt & Rebekah. He made a comment to Marcel when Rebekah killed the 6 vampires that "unless that biker bar was filled with high school quaterbacks I doubt she'd be interested". I think he was well aware that her and Matt had run off to Europe for the summer.
I think Klaus killed his mother for the same reasons Stefan killed his father. It was right after he was turned, learned he was a werewolf, she shoved the hybrid curse on him and I think he probably just lost it. And Marcel was like a son to Klaus (he was 10 when Klaus adopted him) - I can understand that Klaus wouldn't want his son dating his sister because it's like borderline incest.
Elijah could have undaggered them anytime he wanted. He did in Season 3 - and obviously 300 years ago when they came to NO Klaus, Rebekah & Elijah were all up and around and any of them could have undaggered the others.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
