"Stiles talks about testing for an incurable dementia, Scott vows that he will save Stiles, and they hug" of course that scene was beautifully acted by both of them I still get chocked a little when I remember it.
Can't argue with that. In fact I toyed with the idea of letting people vote for 2 choices simply because the Stiles and Scott hug is likely to trounce all other choices. This really is a battle for second place.
Agree I cried so much when I watched it, My second choice would be every scene that included Melissa and Stiles especially when she hugged him when she and Scot's dad found him, their scenes together are so touching. congratulations on your teen wolf podcast, you two were having so much fun doing it I really enjoyed it.
The Dark Stiles scenes (particularly when he wakes up in the MRI machine) - Dylan was simply amazing, he turned into an entirely different person in the blink of an eye and conveyed it simply through facial expressions.
!!! Really ? Why no ability to have multi choice? :)
Seriously though, several of those were powerful scenes. My personal favorite was the first basement talk between Stiles smirk and Stiles. Loved it. It's a dark scene starting out with stiles using his Phone light to get his perception of the room. Then the light and the phone fails. From then on I knew who was going to win the control of body in the context which would come up later. I love that something that 'minor' made me decide that.
Then the halo effect in the MRI room was cool. All that light and pockets of dark at the edges. Just awesome. Then the unravelling. The fact the smirk stiles and stiles were the same person meant that Stiles knew all the answers to his riddles. So it was pressure locking him up that was preventing him from asking. The realisation that he knew the answer was written on his face.
Other than obvious I really loved everything with Melissa and Stiles' dad, can't remember his name for some reason, also when Stiles wakes up from his scan and wears the smile his shadow self did, and I really loved the ending with Kira's mom in the elevator with the Oni, shit talking with Evil!Stiles.
I think this season is either going to end in Stiles becoming a werewolf, it being revealed that Stiles was always the Nogitsune, or the one we'd all hate to see- his death. The reason I think that is because Jeff Davis said Stiles loses a certain status this season, which now clearly isn't his virginity. That status could mean that he becomes a werewolf obviously, but the reason I say it could also mean he was always the Nogitsune is because in Japanese lore they possess family lineages, not just a single person. 'Dark Stiles' could've always existed inside of him, and the sacrifice thing was like opening a door. We'd all hate to see Stiles' death, but obviously it could mean that too. They may decide he's too risky to allow to live.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
No question, Stiles and Scott's tearful hug was amazing. There were other great scenes but none that hit so hard.

It's a no brainer for me:
ReplyDeleteThe Scott/Stiles hug scene was the best scene in this amazing episode.

ReplyDeleteI rarely get emotional in TV, but this one hit me hard. It was just so touching.
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of a three-way tie for me... The two scenes between just Derek/Scott and the Scott/stiles scenes...

Kira's mom confronts Dark Stiles, but he's utterly unafraid of her Oni so she threatens to sic another on him
