  1. This one is hard because I really loved both Stiles and Melissa in the hospital and Stiles vs. the demon shadow ninjas. What were your favorites? Also don't forget to give us feedback for the new Welcome to Beacon Hills podcast. We are recording the first episode tonight and I am really excited about it.

  2. Agreed! The hospital scene between Melissa and Stiles was so emotional and Stiles being possessed was so fierce! I can't choose.

  3. Those were my favorite too it broke my heart when Stiles called Melissa mom and made me cry a little but went with Stiles killing the demons that was awesome and unexpected, I love Stiles's story this season.

  4. I don't cry in TV but that "Mom" had me a bit choked up. I loved Melissa's reaction as well. It was such a sad, beautiful moment and well acted by both.

I spent the whole time asking that Stiles not be possessed but once I saw it on screen I realized what a great opportunity this is for Dylan O'Brien to show his awesome acting. I think this is going to be one heck of a season 3B.

  5. The Melissa and Stiles scene was so sweet. Part of the intensity of the moment was I didn't expect Teen Wolf to start so emotional, so it hit me really hard. Very, very well done. Stiles is the most intriguing character this season and I can't wait to watch him play dual roles.

  6. Same here, one of the main reasons I love this show is Stiles and now we will get a double dose of him which = AWESOME.

  7. Stiles taking out the Oni. I'm so glad he's getting to be alittle bad for once.

  8. Ok don't get me wrong I love Stiles just as much as anyone else and I like that they r doing more with his character but I am a huge Scott fan and I want to see more episodes where he is learning more about his alpha side they need to talk more about that and we also need more Derek!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Yeah, and as much as I really don't want Stiles to be the villain i know that they're not killing him so i can't wait to see it! Really excited!

    ReplyDelete
  10. I am also curious about where they are going with his mother. Where the Oni around when she was alive? Was she possessed by a dark spirit too?

    ReplyDelete
  11. I can't wait until the pack figures it out. The fight to save Stiles should be epic. I am wondering if this is going to continue through the season finale or if they are going to resolve "Dark Stiles" within a couple of episodes. I hope they really take their time with it.

  12. I find it interesting that Derek seems more competent and knowledgable now than he ever did as an alpha. I feel like Derek as alpha got shortchanged.

  13. Maybe they can psychicly channel the Onis or they are sensitive to the supernatural so the dark spirits are able to possess them, and his mother didn't have all these experts around to help her.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I wonder if Scott is going to have to snap Stiles out of a trance like Stiles did for Scott in Motel California. I also hope that Lydia is the first person to realize that Stiles isn't always Stiles.

  15. Is he really possessed? And if he is...would a Nogitsune possess a human being? Would a human even be a suitable host? The Oni were supposedly only checking out the supernatural beings in Beacon Hills. I've had this crazy idea since the middle of 3A that Stiles' mother might have been supernatural and that her husband never knew. Kitsune are supposed to be masters of deceipt, aren't they? I found the follwoing quote on a site about Kisune lore and found it interesting in the context of this show: "It's interesting to note that all children born to a human-fox union are born to a fox mother and a human father."

    ReplyDelete
  16. Excellent questions. I will definitely bring them up. Thanks so much. I also am questioning how Stiles' mother is involved here. It seems like she must be.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Good theories. As long as Mama Stilinski doesn't suddenly get resurrected, I am very interested in hearing more about her.

  18. Stiles, every scene with Stiles is awesome xD , I voted for Stiles defeat the demons . I will like a evil Stiles, why not? that can give him more and new storyline for his character . come on!! , a Stiles villain it's not too bad for the soul xD

  19. I'm really curious about what's happening to Stiles, I love his character and it was really sweet when Melissa helped him. I can't wait to know what's going on, if the connection to his mom means he he different from birth and maybe the after death thing just triggered it, just some crazy theories.
Specially I need to point out the brilliance of the writting, acting and directing in this particular story line, all the problems they've had with sleep and most of all Stiles, I think they all managed to convey that feeling of not being able to trust your own mind, not knowing what's dream and what's reallity. Why is that happening and how is it gonna be resolved? I don't know, but I can't wait to find out.

  20. I agree that it will be a wild ride with Stiles this season. I cannot wait to see Dylan O'Brien switch from one personna to another. I was not rooting for Dark Stiles, but I can't wait to see what happens with him.

  21. I am most intrigued about the Claudia connection as well. It will be very interesting to see back story on her. I hope we get flashbacks with her and Sheriff. It seems like my preconceived notions about her were wrong so now I am dying for answers. I would say the writing is what gets the biggest kudos from me. Instead of feeling like writers are just off doing their own thing without even talkingto each other like it does on some other genre shows, Teen Wolf feels the tightest. One episode flows into another and small things from previous episodes end up having greater meaning later. For instance, I loved how the Coach birthday prank in the last episode ended up having significance in this one. Little things like that make for better continuity and make me trust the writers a whole lot more.

  22. Stiles wakes up, wanders the empty hospital, meets the Oni, takes out their lightning bug power, and defeats them

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yeah, definitely. To be honest I only started watching Teen Wolf a week ago, when it came out I did not have any faith in it, at all. I though it was just one cheesy way to pick up all the fans Twilight had left behind with the supernatural love triangles and stuff, and it does have that, but it does it in a way where that isn't the most important thing, there are some characters relationships (like Stiles with his dad) that make it immensly enjoyable and really worth watching, specially because of the humor, I laugh so often that it makes me wonder why some comedies can't get ir right. I'm realizing now that the things about the show I enjoy most are stiles related LOL.
Anyways, I was pleasently surprided to be wrong with my prejudice, I actually think it was one of your posts that made me give it a try, and I marathoned all the way through in days, I loved it and it was almost shocking to me how good it was.So I guess I have to thank you for it. Thank you very, very much.

  24. I don't think they're going to resurrect her, but I do think we're going to learn a bit more (hopefully, a lot more) about Beacon Hills' previous generation. Maybe Scott's and Stiles' generation isn't the first one that has had to come to terms with the supernatural.

Villain!Stiles ftw! It'll be really interesting to see him as the bad guy (and powerful for once) and the pack trying to save him.
    - And when I say pack I mean mostly Derek ;D -
I can't wait to see their reactions to that development.
Because either Stiles being possessed or a creature, it's still something we've been looking forward for ages.
And btw, they should stop with the redemption arc for the twins and show more of Derek.

  26. I want early Stilinski family flashbacks. I'd love to see Sheriff and Claudia together before things all started going wrong. I think it is a given that Beacon Hills has had its fair share of the paranormal before Scott and Stiles. The Hale family had a long tradition there and from the hints Kira's mom had been dropping, so did her family. If the nematon was still working when Derek was a child, I would guess that Beacon Hills has had a long history of the supernatural.

  27. I am so happy you tried Teen Wolf. It has the unfortunate name and channel to its detriment, so I too dismissed it at first. I ended up marathoning it to catch up as well and was so impressed by the pacing, characters, and overall writing of the show. The pilot shocked me in how much I needed to keep watching, and I haven't regretted it yet. This show is so underrated that I am very glad you took a chance on it.

My favorite relationships on the show have nothing to do with the romance. I tend to favor the parents with their kids, which are so well done here. Even though it is a genre show, I don't think there are more realistic parent-child bonds elsewhere on TV. At least on the shows I watch. They make the show stronger and I love how they are shown to be helpful and caring as well. I too favor the Stiles point of view so this storyline is going to be very interesting. So glad you will be watching and commenting with us as the story unfolds.

  28. Yup, and here's another wild thought: Kitsune are trickster spirits and I believe they're capable of casting spells to deceive human senses. On the one hand, that could be the reason the Sheriff never found out his wife's true nature. On the other hand, that could also be the reason the Sheriff has always had such a hard time believing the supernatural things happening all around him. Perhaps that "spell" still lingers on to this day. I mean, it seems like every time you leave the guy alone for a while he starts doubting things again.
As I said, it's just a wild thought, but it would fit in well with what has happened so far.

  29. yes! that storyline about dark Stiles deserve more than two episodes

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yes, me too. And the part about the title being unfortunate is so true! I have to say it embarrasses me a little bit to say I watch something called Teen Wolf, thnakfully in Spoiler TV there's usually no problem with that and everyone can debate any show they like.

  31. I'm curious about Stiles talking to Scott's dad "My dad knows your secret and so do i" Am I missing/forgetting something?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Ha! I sometimes say the title under my breath in certain company. People do look at me a little weirdly when I rave about a show of teenage werewolves on MTV.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Agreed. I am glad that they are finally getting some word of mouth with older audiences as well. It's a shame people are missing out on such a great show.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Nope, no one has a clue what he meant. I am hoping that mystery gets resolved soon because currently it makes no sense that teh FBI would have any say or jurisdiction in the workings of a small town sheriif's office.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Both of those Stiles scenes were awesome, but I have to add in my "Other" Scott's dad (Agent McCall? Does he have a first name?) asks to see Scott so he can unburden himself and Mama McCall refuses to let him get away with something so selfish. This was an awesome ep for Melissa

    ReplyDelete
  36. Melissa was my MVP of the episode because of her interaction with Stiles and DoucheDad, whose name is Raphael on his badge but is being called Kyle on IMDb. He's still DoucheDad to me. I agree that the hand clench was beautiful, as were Melissa pulling the covers over Stiles and putting her hand on his forehead. The other super touching moment was when she looked in on him while he was sleeping. Bascially everything Melissa and Stiles was a huge win in this episode.

  37. Regular Stiles and Dark Stiles of the lightning bug catching.
