Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer (The Help) has joined Red Band Society, Fox’s drama pilot from executive producer Steven Spielberg, TVLine has learned.
The project revolves around group of teenagers who meet as patients in the children’s wing of a hospital and become unlikely allies and friends.
Spencer will play the role of Nurse Jackson, described as an excellent, intuitive nurse who doesn’t put up with any crap from anyone.
