Pretty Little Liars- 4.17 "Bite Your Tongue"- Review

Apologies for the delay, Dolls!
I've been roughing it with no internet/cable (thanks cable company!), but I figured out a workaround just in time to get you refreshed for tomorrow's new episode of Pretty Little Liars!

As usual...SPOILERS BELOW!!!

Last week gave us the return of my favorite character on the show...Crazy Spencer. Now we all know Spencer's level of get-shit-done-ability is in direct relation to how sane she is at any given moment. This time, however, she's doped-up-on-prescription-pills crazy, not my-boyfriend's-dead-and-my-life-is-over crazy, which should be interesting when combined with this weeks MAJOR revelation...but I'm getting ahead of myself.

Speaking of revelations, we found out that Mona and Mike are an item now and Aria learns what it feels like to see her little brother partaking in an extremely uncomfortable and disturbing relationship. Nice table turning PLL writers! Apparently the two met at a group held by the new school counselor, who Aria and Mike don't realize is their older long-lost brother Wyatt from Ella's previous marriage to an angel, but that's beside the point. Wyatt ends up thinking Aria's the one with the issues, after she approaches him and explains that Mona is "the Devil" and she'd prefer he doesn't encourage Mike hanging around her.

After Emily almost accidentally stabs her dad in the face out of fear, Mr. Fields realizes that the stress of constantly could be having a negative effect on his daughter's psyche. What's he do to try and ease poor Em's mind, you ask? He signs her up to help out with a play at school...with Mr. Fitz. Poor Em winds up trapped in the school alone at night, while someone tries to attack her. Luckily her dad Spiderman's it up the wall in time to rescue her, before falling. He's alright, but we find out that he has a possible heart condition. So much for relieving Em's stress.

Each week, anywhere between 1-3 of our 4 girls never Aria are actively looking into the mystery at hand and getting us closer to the answers we want. This week, those two were Spencer and Hanna.

Hanna's been doing a lot of reading and thinking since Caleb's exit and decided to check out the dentist office, in hopes of getting some insight into who's buried in Ali's grave, via dental records. I told you! Girl's been thinking! Don't worry though, she's still our Hanna. Unfortunately that means having the most jacked up -A related stuff done to you. This time -A stole Hanna's stolen dental records and operated on her, leaving a tiny note between her teeth...of all the thing's -A has done, this is one of the creepiest, in my opinion. (Note: The -A note from Hanna's mouth mirrors the teeth necklace message from S3 Ep.2 Blood is the New Black "Dead Girls Can't Smile"...Thoughts?)

Spencer decided to pick up an old habit that's new to us. She invited her mid-meltdown hook-up, Andrew, over to her place to ask him for some pills to help her stay awake and study. Yep, our golden girl has a pill poppin' problem. While in full-on Spencer Saiyan mode, she figures out from Ali's diary that Board Shorts took her to The Hart and Huntsman pub for a date. He ordered boysenberry pie and beer and they talked about writing. Spence decides to go look for clues and while there, runs into none other than Mr. Fitz...eating boysenberry pie. Once he leaves (in a suspicious hurry) the waitress brings Spencer his beer anyway since he'd already paid for it...boysenberry pie...beer...Board Shorts Ale...Spencer gets it and so do we...Ezra is Board Shorts.

Odds and Ends:
-What's Mona up to? Between canoodling with Mike and that creepy convo behind closed doors with Fitz...this can't be good...Plus, why was she in Aria's room at Mike's party?
- How did Aria not pick up on Ezra's creepy delivery of "People get what they deserve Aria...eventually"?
-Will anything become of that SUPER awkward encounter that Aria had with Maggie?
-Was I the only one that laughed at the "Act Normal, Bitch" -A message to Emily in school?
-What do you think Ezra and Mona discussed? Those two working together CAN'T be good.
- Who do you think will win next week's showdown? Crazy Eyes Ezra or Sleep-Deprived Spence?
-Was Det. Holbrook was flirting with Hanna?
-"The Hart and Huntsman" seems preeety British doesn't it? I automatically thought of Wren when the camera focused on the pub sign....Hmmmm
-This week's A ending showed us a couple of interesting bits of info...Tippy the bird is alive and well and there was a map of Cape May, the place where Ali had quite an adventurous summer before she disappeared. Thoughts?
