Good episode! Thank goodness the Parsa arc is over with,it was time to put it to bed.
So,we now have a new pro-o-bie as Tony oh so likes to say. There are still little things Bishop that i don't particularity care for but i like Bishop on the whole.
Well,i never thought i would see the day Tim ask Tony if he wanted to watch a movie with him,i was quite surprised.Pleasantly i might add!
Now I know why Gary Glasburg told us to use our imaginations; it's because he doesn't have one. He stole at least 5 different plotpoints in tonight's episode from earlier episodes. I haven't watched in several episodes but thought I would give tonight's a chance. Wrong decision!!! Wish I could erase my mind of that hour. He is killing NCIS. CBS needs to get rid of him before the whole show sinks with him and his lack of creativity.
I have been a fan since the pilot in 2003... Unfortunately, if fans like myself and others choose to stop watching the shoe NCIS will loose its most loyal fan base and ratings will suffer... Hence people like you who make such absurd suggestions will not have a show to watch... Bottom line Bishop's character... Just like the actresses acting ability is... ( to put mildly) is lacking and insignificant! I'm sure this young lady is trying, but her addition to the show has eliminated the appearances of fan favorites such as; Ducky, Abbey, and Palmer... I don't enjoy watching anymore and I have friends and family who have expressed these same concerns to cbs as well... So, when NCIS drops in ratings and is cancelled retread your obtuse comment...
I've been checking the ratings since her introduction to the show!! Just reading this bog you're out numbered... I would think about that if I were you! Enjoy this final season...
Luckily, we have a ratings database right here at Spoiler TV to check things like this. There has been no ratings drop. The ratings in the five episodes before her introduction are the same as the five episodes after.
I know it seem it didn't change after Ziva left and Bishop came in.....it pretty much the same. It will take a while for Bishop to become popular and such
There are plenty of people who like Bishop but the people who are satisfied with a show will never be as vocal as those who complain about it. Especially on the internet.
Ambushing Tony in the men's bathroom was a Ziva move
Something about the shootout at the end reminded me of Ziva shooting Ari. Obviously the circumstances were different (and Gibbs did the shooting), but it was in the middle of Bishop/Gibbs building trust, it led to Gibbs accepting her on the team, it involved a recurring bad guy, in the middle of a tense convo... in a really general sense it felt similar.
Well... You're entitled to your opinion... I will voice mine... I don't enjoy the show anymore... I've enjoyed it through all of the other cast replacements... I always had to adjust to another character, but it was not to the degree that I hated the show... I'm not a hater of this character/actress... I just don't believe she fits the show... I don't think she's a very good/talented actress compared to her cast members!! I will miss the show...
I'm very sad about this... Before I sign off... The Nielsen ratings from early January shows NCIS tied in the ratings with 60 minutes...
ratings are not the key. Many characters have been written off shows, or brought back to shows, on CBS with NO RATINGS DROP AT ALL, only because of fan complaints. It is not only about ratings, honest. The network has NO interest in having huge numbers of disgruntled fans for their BIGGEST show. they DO listen to fan complaints. they ditched Gary Glasberg's horrid chracters - Dr. Ryan, Allison Hart, CI Ray, EJ, etc - based ONLY on fan complaints. yes of COURSE it matters, no it is NOT all about ratings.
So tired of the Bishop show! Even without Ziva the show had great characters, the only character who lacks chemistry but needs to be in every scene is Bishop! So many elements in that episode were old recycled ideas! And that bathroom scene with Tony was just ridiculous!
She stinks, plain and simple. Can't stand what has happened to the other characters. She took over the show, AGAIN, while Tony talked about bath salts.
Awww you mean don't feed the ZIVA haters - for the whole time she was on the show. Bishop does NOT belong on this Team nor on NCIS. She should be written out. I found myself routing for Parsa. Where is the REAL GIBBS ?
Not everyone is going to like the change, but its not fair to beat on Bishop for it. Blame Cote for putting the writers in this situation.Blame Cote for putting the actors in this situation. You don't like whats going on blame Cote, you should be coming down on her and give Emily a decent chance.Emily was thrown into the fire and she is finding her footing and working with what is given her,so try letting her find herself...
The same crap went on when Kate was killed off and Ziva came into the picture.People didn't like her and it took a long time for people to accept her,but eventually they came to see her as a member of the team. If people don't come to see Bishop that way so be it,there are always other shows to watch...
Your delusional if you think this is the last season just because Cote decided to leave. The ratings haven't dropped, the show is just as strong now as when Cote was on... If and i say IF they decide to end the show at the end of this season it wouldn't be because of low ratings...
well disqus_Blvd5NQY3F - won't even post your name - you are one of those fans who believes NCIS will be on forever and ever and ever - like Pauley Perrette believes - um sorry, NO - it is on it's last legs. Being number 1 in ratings does NOT mean the same as being number 1 with the fans. It gets more negative buzz now than positive. So, not wrong. he stories are crap. Bishop is awful.
Lol... Killing her off would've made it a much better episode... The next time I write cbs... I will make that suggestion!! The Bishop Show! Hilarious!!!
Lol...Reading is fundamental... If you'd taken the time to read my post... I never stated this was the last season because of Cote's departure... I believe fans are watching out of loyalty, but the shows quality is well below average... And based on the poll that was taken about this episode... So do a lot of other people!! But hang in there sweetie... So where over the rainbow... Your dreams may come true!!!
You're right they aren't the only key, but when shows don't have good ratings... The channels can decide to drop the show... It's not all ratings... It's money too... So, when a quality show like NCIS begins to drop in ratings because of less viewers and/ or ratings... Producers can go to the source and make changes if needed... Yes, viewer complaints help too! So, go to cbs feedback and tell them how you feel about this Bishop character!!!
In Season 3, several episodes were literally "The Ziva Show". It's an introduction to the character. And she turned out rather well. Now it's Bishops turn. But I suppose "haters gonna hate".
What episode were you watching last night? Both Ducky and Abby were in it. Palmer's spending more time with his new wife (and potential baby). NCIS Season 3 was "The Ziva Show" for several episodes, just as some claim this has been "The Bishop Show" for several episodes. It's called an 'introduction' to the character.
100% Agreed. Much like the haters call this "The Bishop Show", NCIS was "The Ziva Show" for several episodes of Season 3 (when Ziva was introduced). Now Bishop's been introduced, she's the teams new probie. And she'll develop over time, just as the super-spy/assassin Ziva did.
In fact, it's nice to see a new probie on "Team Gibbs". I don't count Ziva's temporary period as a probie, since she was effectively a member of the team, even without being an "Agent". We haven't had an actual probie for several years now. McGee used to be a probie (for a season or two), but we haven't seen any since.
Yeah, your right,i didn't consider Ziva to be a probie either so this is nice. Emily and the writers have their own take on Bishop and it isn't having another Ziva clone.Besides, there is only one Ziva!
For much of Season 4, it was the "DiNozzo Show", culminating in the death of La Grenouille (The Frog), and Tony's undercover op/relationship with Grenouille's daughter being completely blown.
Well I for one like Bishop. It's getting annoying now though, if you don't like the fact that Ziva is gone then stop watching, It's as simple as that. Even if the ratings dropped by 2 million I doubt that would cancel the show.
IT IS NOT COTES FAULT!! She was forced to leave you know...so since they practically fired her a great writer left too because CBS are assholes... thats why the storylines suck now... and im not watching it anymore, just waiting for an eventual Cotes return...stop it haters youre ridiculous you dont even know whats going on
Your delusional if you think she was forced to leave.or 'practically fired'. She left because she wanted the same salary that Michael Weatherly was making. She wasn't getting the dame amount so she left, simple as that.Read
Stop with the hater crap,no one here hates Cote, you don't know what your talking about...
This was an enjoyable episode, and satisfying end to the Parsa story. I like Bishop. She's a well-thought out character, with interesting quirks, and adds a useful set of skills to the team. I like her interactions with each character, giving a fresh dynamic to the team. Bishop's character, in addition to the writing, has livened up the show a bit again, which is hard to do after over a decade of, oftentimes, unavoidably similar cases. I've enjoyed all the characters that have come and gone, and liked Kate, then Ziva, and now Ellie. I suspect that much of that is due to the characters that the writers and actresses created, and also thanks to the actresses' abilities as well. I'm glad that network ratings seem to indicate a certain renewal for this still rather enjoyable show.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Good episode! Thank goodness the Parsa arc is over with,it was time to put it to bed.

ReplyDeleteYes done before with Ziva and much much better. Bishop is regurgitating old episodes with less class and style and panache. Does no one care anymore ?
ReplyDeleteBISHOP SUCKS and she got someone killed tonight. You shut it missy.
