Very good episode! Although I was about to cast a kitten in the snippet in Argentina, so glad THAT was quickly rectified. And I think I enjoyed that "Don't throw a tantrum" a bit too much lol. And Lily and Robin's exchange at the end...that is just priceless!
Barney is such a great friend. I'm thrilled they all finally realized that. And the Ted and Mother (along with Penny and Luke in the last one) flashforwards were adorable. Thought for sure she was going to be pregnant in the limo one! Maybe another episode will cover it?
LOL at Ted trying bacon and then eating too much. I also love that Marshall won state Supreme Court and his awesome victory speech.
And yes to that Barney/Robin flashforward! Thrilled they go to Argentina together. And that baby definitely surprised me. Although I'd be totally fine with and love it if they didn't have a baby, still not ruling out a surprise pregnancy. And they looked really comfortable with the baby, but that could be the result of hanging out with their friends' kids.
I think this was my second favorite of the season, behind "How Your Mother Met Me", of course. Such fantastic fast forward scenes but also loved the "Weekend at Barney's" photos!
Best episode of the season, well one of the best and one of the best episodes of the series IMO.
Ted with the bacon is like my with bacon I love it so much. I really loved this episode it was the funniest episode of the season by far one of my favorites in the entire series. We got flashforwards of everything, M/L, T/M, B/R and they are still together it's great to see everyone so happy in the future. I loved the Stinson formula for a hangover and the callback to Weekend At Barney's gosh I still want that to happen lol. I also loved that Barney was so sweet in this episode to everyone and helped them cure their hangovers.
I didn't like the lies at the end but it was for his best interest which is kinda nice actually.
I loved this episode. Especially loved all the callbacks. We find out why Marshall is nicknamed Big Fudge and also the brought back Ted's "allergy to Bacon (It was first mentioned in a deleted scene in season 6: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6y-VwkgJgPc).
And all the flashbacks were great, especially the T/M ones.
Now I really just want to know how this Stinson baby (yay!!!) fits in with the whole "she never was a pole-vaulter" thing... Unless it's already been explained in an interview/episode and I just can't remember?
The fact that Barney said something along the lines of "this always happens", and Robin casually went to pick up and comfort a baby, as well as "Who's baby is this" heavily implies they have a child of their own.
But they were acting so normally as if they were used to having a baby and they were both talking about a girl they were on the same page it felt like they may actually have a daughter.
This episode was so good and funny, i think i will rewatch several times. One of the best episodes of this season and of the show, for sure. Everything was great! I love this show <3 And mondays will not be the same without them!
this episode got me thinking about the idea of robin and barney actually having a baby. when the baby cried robin is like oh she's crying again and barneys is like doesn't she always. Then robin asks whose baby this is. maybe they had a baby and went on vacation without her and being drunk they forgot they left her at home. why else would they make those comments. just my thought.

ReplyDeleteThey were drunk acting, I guess.

ReplyDeleteMaybe they're used to babysitting Marvin, Luke and Penny at this point.
ReplyDeleteGreat
