I like how the story is progressing.... the wolf cgi is a little weak, but decent enough for tv. Not sure how I feel about the inevitable romantic triangle conflict that is coming, but at least it isn't the biggest focus of the show (good thing this isn't the CW)....
The episode was good. I enjoyed it :-) However, I don't want Elena and Clay together. It's too obvious, and I think the relationship would become boring after a couple of episodes.
The thing I'm most curious of, is: how was Elena turned? I assume after she visited Clay's pack? And most likely an accident, as she's the first woman to survive the bite.. Hoping they'll show us soon.
Brilliant, as usual, I rush through the episodes and am left wanting more as soon as they are over.
While this did feel like a little bit of a filler episode, I get why they did it, they needed to grieve and to take a breath before the action picked up, but they did it in such a nice way by introducing the 3 mutts.
Clay and Elena need to just hook up already, at this point in the books they had already had sex, this much sexual tension is driving me insane, next episode is about Elena's transformation so hopefully they connect and forgive each other by the end of the episode. While I get why the producers are keeping them apart like this, they are end game and the book managed to set the pace, keep them together, have Elena's struggle and tell the story at the same time.. so why is the show having a hard time doing that?
I loved the episode. But again, too much Philip, I mean, we don't have to see him in every single episode, his storyline is boring as hell, make it stop. I also love all the moment between Elena and the pack and how much they love her and want her to stay with them. And the little moment when wolf!Clay tried to "play" with wolf!elena was literally my favorite part, it was adorable.
I loved the wolf scene, too. I don't see how they can keep pushing the Philip story for much longer. It's not going to work. Every time something comes up, she's going to commute back home to the pack. It's going to get ridiculous. They need to wrap up the Philip story and move on.
I want less talking about "running" and more actualy running, hunting and werewolves vs werewolves fighting. This show has a lot of potential but sometimes it's just a bunch of beautiful people talking and walking around sniffing the air. And also can someone already kill the boyfriend? And his sister maybe too? I really see don't a place for them in future episodes, he can't move into the house with clay without getting ripped in pieces and Elena can't keep coming up with excuses to go visit her family.
Philip is the boyfriend right? If so i completely agree. I think he should get killed off then Elena will have the vengeance motivation to keep her going after the pack enemies.
The spoilers I read said the bad wolves will crash Philip's sister's wedding, so maybe that will wrap it up, who knows. They definitely need to end that lame storyline.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Solide episode and i want clay and elena together
ReplyDeleteI like how the plot seems to be pretty well laid out. I'm hoping Clay and Elena will get together eventually. I thought it was a very good ep.
ReplyDeletePoor

Well last episode after the dog almost attacked Elena she kinda said that it was Clay who bit her..
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't want them together just yet.. they are endgame =)

Could you elaborate? Why was it poor?
ReplyDeleteOr did you not watch it, and are bitter about it replacing a cancelled show so you come to hate?

ReplyDeleteFrom the promo and sneak peek I saw for the next episode, it looks like it will be a flashback episode and we will see how Elena became a werewolf.
ReplyDeleteYes and ASAP.
ReplyDeleteThe hookup pretty much dead ended Elana as a character in the books. They need to go another direction if we are to avoid a dead end.
ReplyDelete"I'M COMING FOR MY SCRAPBOOK BITCH' lmao. I enjoyed this episode though, like every one so far. Not my favourite show but it's pretty good.
