A regionally famous rock band may reunite in Pawnee, and its singer will be portrayed by… Jeff Tweedy.
The Wilco frontman has filmed a guest spot in an upcoming episode of Parks and Recreation that has a theme of, shall we say, harmony. “He plays the former lead singer of a band called ‘Land Ho!’ — complete with exclamation point; Tweedy’s pitch — that was very popular in Indiana a while back,” Parks executive producer Michael Schur tells EW. “Leslie (Amy Poehler) and Andy (Chris Pratt) are trying to convince him to reunite for the big Unity Concert they are organizing to solidify the merger of Pawnee and Eagleton.” Tweedy’s character is not gung-ho on a Land Ho! show, though, as the band suffered an ugly breakup.
The episode is slated to air in early spring.
