Two months after Once Upon a Time announced that Lost alum Rebecca Mader would be “going green” to play a version of the Wizard of Oz Wicked Witch, TVLine can exclusively confirm that actress Sunny Mabrey is joining the ABC drama as Glinda the Good Witch.

Oh hey, she was in Snakes on a Plane (and one episode of In Plain Sight). Can't wait to see Glinda.
ReplyDeletenice casting choice
ReplyDeleteShe looks a lot like Rose McIver (Tink). Perhaps Tink & Glinda will end up being sisters?
ReplyDeleteI barely remember her from Memphis Beat....
ReplyDeleteNothing like keeping it in the family, her husband was in OUaT last year.
I feel so bad Ralph Waite died...
ReplyDelete*Ex Husband. Her and Ethan divorced in 2012.
ReplyDeleteOh well.
ReplyDeleteOh I remember her from Snakes on a Plane. She's a pretty cool actress. Good choice imo as she and Rebecca Mader look so little alike its seems like a good contrast to me (as in some shows/movies, people so generic and perfect they almost seem to blend together). Glad we will be seeing Glinda. I can't help but wonder what spin the writers will put on this version of Glinda.
ReplyDeleteNever seen her act, but she DEFINITELY looks the part. I'm very excited to see that they're introducing more Oz characters than just the Wicked Witch. I wonder if Dorothy might make an appearance, somehow? I would love to see them introduce some sort of older character from our world who had contact with other worlds long before Storybrooke was ever created (aside from the Darlings, I mean). We do know from previous episodes that the ruby (or possibly silver) slippers exist in the OUAT multiverse and that they were taken to our world a long time ago. Perhaps Dorothy has them here now, and will be called upon to help defeat the Witch again. That would be cool.
ReplyDeleteMe too. I'm really hoping for no mommy or daddy issues, for either her or the Wicked Witch. We've had quite enough of those in OUAT, thank you very much. Let them have semi-normal families and get messed up some other way. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, she is blonde like Kristin Chenoweth but otherwise, yeah, she's white.
ReplyDeleteI guess they're more inspired by Wicked than the books in terms of casting.
ReplyDeleteShe actually looks like Jmo too.
ReplyDeleteWell. She certainly LOOKS good.
