Godzilla 1998 was the first ever movie i watched in a movie theater, kind of blew my mind away. I was 8. So i hope this movie doesn't suck, and i will definitely go to the movie to see it, just to get deja vu.
ReplyDeleteLoved Godzilla as a kid.. they don't make movies like that anymore, Independence Day, Speed etc. Can't wait for this.. hopefully they don't go to 'CGI'-y and stick with the feel of the 98 movie.
ReplyDeleteGodzilla '98 was an awful "Godzilla" movie. he/she was just a large dinosaur and not a radioactive monster destroying everything in its path - a metaphor for nuclear power. They should have called it something else.
ReplyDeleteThis latest version looks much better though, the trailer is like a scene from hell. The tone is dark and ominous.
What a surprise... down votes for saying Hollywood made a poor Godzilla movie!
ReplyDeleteThe '98 Godzilla is a decent action film, but it never even tried to be faithful to the source. The monster is Godzilla in name only.
Trailers can be deceptive but it captures the feel of the original. 1954 not 1998.
