  4. I'm actually of the opposite opinion. The music this time around didn't seem as fine-tuned to my ears, and some of the scenes in the title sequence, specifically the shots at night, had too much going on that it was distracting. Lights from cars, windows and other kinds of movement grabbed too much attention. To be perfectly honest, when they show the White House at the end of the intro, almost half the screen is of the water, and since it's a long video made fast, the water is quite distracting with all kinds of waves and light reflections. I didn't even notice the House of Cards logo, and had to go back to see that they didn't forget to put it there. I may be the only one feeling this, but I just wanted to showcase my opinion either way :)

  6. I didn't like the new title sequence the first time I saw it but I went back and watched it again. The new sequence isn't so full of bass so its easier on the ears, and the changes make the music flow better and sound much more sophisticated. I love the slo-mo shots. They haven't changed many clips but they've changed it enough to make it seem fresh and new

  8. ALL WALTER WHITE ORPHANS, BEHOLD! Frank Underwood will be your new king.

And for the love of god, what was that first episode?? I honestly had to stop the video to breath.

  9. Just finished the first episode and all I can say is, HOLY CRAP! I literally held my breath for so much of that episode my chest hurts. I was only going to watch one episode tonight, but I can see clearly that's not happening. No sleep tonight.

  10. OMG at that 'accident'!
Maybe I'm gonna try 1 episode a day this time around (as opposed to all in 1 day ><)

  12. Highheels with all respect, Frank Underwood can't fill those shoes, and I love House of Cards lol. This is one show I don't want to go on forever cuz Frank needs his comeuppance. For some reason I wanted Walt to live forever. Kudos to Spacey, the cast creator and writers, but I am anxiously awaiting the walls crumbling down around this slimeball.

  13. I don't think Underwood is better than Walt (or that Spacey is better than Cranston), but I do think they have one thing in common: both love power and both will do anything to get it (and keep it). I understand that you wanted Walt to live forever, but he didn't. And truth is the walls crumbled down in BrBa, as they should have, and Heisenberg died. Much like it will probably happen in House of Cards.

BrBa was phenomenal for several reasons and one of them is that it showed the demise of a man, how he went from being a loving father and dedicated teacher to a ruthless, power hungry drug dealer. The same thing cannot be said about House of Cards. When we meet Frank, he's already crazy and willing to do whatever it takes. Of course, during the show it gets worse, but there is no change in his character in any relevant way. Regardless, the reason why I think Heisenberg fans will like Underwood is simple: the characters are driven for the exact same reason, power. It took Walt a while to realize that, whereas Frank knew it from second one, but it's still the wheel that keep them moving.

As for the general show, no one will be able to fill BrBa shoes for a very long time, maybe forever. It was the Sopranos of this generation.

  14. Just finished it. Wow. Incredible.

  15. Just finished. That was amazing. Amazing. If this show and future offerings is Netflix answer to the Networks and Cables scripted offerings, then we have another major contender in the ring. Phenomenal season. Once I found the time today to finish the last 6 episodes, I couldn't tear myself away. That finale alone sets up such an amazing season 3, I can't wait to see how they top themselves this time. Who would have thought even 5 years ago that we would see an online service provide a scripted offering of this quality? I may go so far as to use the word 'Landmark'. Truly worthy of every accolade the show has received.

  16. *Spoilers*

He has finally done it! He is President!
    OMFG x100!!!

So next season we have two loose threads:
    - Rachel (and Doug's death)
    - The hacker
(and maybe) - The threesome with the bodyguard (no idea what that was about btw)

Really curious where they are going to take next season, hopefully without Tusk, I kinda had it with his character now.
