Gotham - Ben McKenzie lands lead role

Southland/O.C. vet Ben McKenzie will play the lead role of a young Commissioner Detective James Gordon in Fox’s upcoming Batman origin series, TVLine has learned.

    hmm, I didn't even know about this show, but I've just read the premise and it sounds good. If the other characters are well cast, their origin stories should be very enjoyable. I'm not sure whether the source material portrayed these events...

    I'll definitely watch Gotham.



    Looking forward to who they cast as the villains. They're always more fun! ;)

    The premise for this show is brilliant - a worthwhile "prequel" concept that lends itself well to a serialized format. I'm not familiar with McKenzie's work, but from what I've read, he sounds like a great choice to play Gordon.


    Now please, please, hire a kid who can actually ACT to play Bruce Wayne.
