Wrong think again. The cartel guy from Mexico in Headhunter.
ReplyDeleteTVG said that it will be someone related to her mother's murder, and only Bracken comes to mind.
ReplyDeleteWonder who the frenemy is.
ReplyDeleteI'm very excited for this one. I can't wait to see undercover Beckett again and see how Castle fits in to it all.
ReplyDeleteMust be Bracken.
ReplyDeleteI think it will be Annie Werschine as Dr. Kelly Nieman, The 3XK disciple.
ReplyDeleteDidn't they say her character will be recurring?
I'm really excited to watch this episode.
Ohhhh, this looks awesome. Excited to see kick ass Beckett again. Feels like it's been a while. I'm really eager to see this episode :)
ReplyDeleteIt is Vulcan Simmons.
ReplyDeleteFanficition alert! Lol.
ReplyDeleteBut seriously though, how does one go undercover when the whole of New York know she's getting married to Castle. I'm assuming there's a photo that went with the engagement announcement.
Agreed. Wish it was someone different but I'm not holding my breath.
ReplyDeleteAnd you know this how?
ReplyDeleteThere's a half dozen other people that come to mind as well. Smith, do we know for sure he's dead? What about Pulgatti? He's connected because he contacted Johanna about his conviction. Then there's the mayor—what do we really know about him.
ReplyDeleteKeyword is "past." Bracken's more present.
ReplyDeleteJust beause he hasn't been front and centr doesn't mean it couldn't be Bracken.
ReplyDeleteJust because he hasn't doesn't mean he is. So our argument washes out.
ReplyDeleteIt is a safe bet..
ReplyDeleteAnd you know this how? Were you on set? Are you in the episode? Did you work on the episode? If not, then don't state stuff as fact. You don't know. I hate when people "speculate" and make it as fact. It really ticks me off.
ReplyDeleteGo watch "knockdown" —
I have no idea if Vulcan Simmons is the "powerful enemy" in question, but I'd be happy if he was. I always thought that Jonathan Adams did a fantastic job of selling the intelligence and ruthless savagery of that character in just a single single, and that it was a shame that he hasn't reappeared on the show since "Knockdown". He may not have had anything to do with Johanna Beckett's murder, but he'd still be a fearsome adversary, and I have a feeling that he'd remember Beckett after their last encounter ...
ReplyDeleteGee another Becket episode.....when does Castle get to have his own episodes since the show is called Castle?
ReplyDeleteIm allmost 100% sure bracken isnt involved in this ep now after reading this my guess its someone we have never met before because if they would use someone we already know it would be a big loss and im also quite sure her mothers case wont be in the center or even mentioned in this ep.
ReplyDeleteEh. I found him okay and not really a big bad worthy of a repeat performance. I'd like think they'd throw a curveball at us and have it be someone new rather than someone old. This is thing that baffles me—people go to to people we've see before because for whatever reason they can't see someone new. Who'd a thought they'd create a new 3XK (so-to-speak) with the plastic surgeon in Disciple. I'd like to see history, not a repeat of old history just in different wrapping paper.
ReplyDeleteI agree (no surprise there). I think if it's someone we've met before they've squandered an opportunity to peel back more layers of Beckett's character, which has been seriously underdeveloped this season in terms of her "career." They blew their shot with the D.C. arc by adding some layers to the character when they fired her and then returned her to the NYPD like nothing ever happened.
ReplyDeleteWe know they filmed at the hotel and outside of one very vague reference of a press conference there's been no confirmation of Bracken's return. Though, I expect his appearance (if there is one) amounts to not a big part of the episode but more of "I die, you get screwed and you die I get screwed." It'll be a "I helped you, you help me and we can resume our beef when this all said and done." They're not going to wrap up the JB murder investigation with this case, but I wouldn't be a bit surprised if there's a clue revealed.
ReplyDeleteBracken's not "underworld." He's a sitting U.S. Senator, though if during his days as a prosecutor he didn't do some dirty dealings along the way have connections to the underworld but again---they could be out screw him over because as Bracken says to Beckett in "Recoil" you don't get to where he is without making a few enemies along the way.
And even if we go with the earlier TV Guide tease of "familiar faces from the JB muder investigation." There's at least three direct connections:
- Bracken (obvious)
- Pulgatti (in jail, but he's connected)
- Halstead (the arson investigator who's photo as in the file that was destroyed)
Then there's the outsiders but connected in some sort of way:
- Simmons (fall guy but has gotten smart)
- Smith (if he's really dead)
- The Mosses (Recoil and probably Dial M for Mayor if there they are from same family)
Then there's the outsiders that people are throwing out there that aren't even worthy of a mention or even consideration because they're the middle guys. And middle guys aren't worthy adversaries.
The there's the unknown things to Beckett that we know as viewers:
Raglan was in a Brotherhood of some sorts, we don't know what that is and the second is that he was a special investigator of some sorts (these is in the very beginning of Knockdown).
